Oh and also - someone is always at the desk and for some odd reason never picks up the phone?  I asked about that and theyre like oh we're here you have to leave a message.  I guess thats ...we dont want our disappointed scamees bothering us at the present moment.  Have a nice day.

The $300 photoshoot is also crap, the photographer was shooting with his eyes closed, and you dont get hard copies, negatives, a cd, and the website he gives u to dl the pics from expires in two weeks... and then the card is a $200 piece of crap poorly photoshopped thing, that you also dont have a hard copy of...he emails it to you.

These a***oles got $500 out of me about a year ago and im wondering if i can sue them.  I kept calling back after the shoot because "madison" said shed call in a week or two about a job, and she was either hanging up on me or saying she was at a fashion show and couldnt talk.  Everything she said was a lie and .ouch. How do u go about getting them in trouble?

i was on craigslist when i came across this add "shoe models" no experience needed. send your phone number and a picture. so i got excited  and emailed them. 3 days later on a monday a women calls me smoker voice at 7pm. saying that her name is Amy and when did i want to make an appointment for the shoe modeling place.i told her Wednesday at 11am.She gave me a weird address 14 way street broadway wall street 2345 phone number 212-576-8811.and to call that number when i got to the lobby so she can tell me the floor number ( kind of odd). But she original called me from a 347-722-9437 number.i didnt pay to much mind to it i figured she was a hard working lady maybe at home reading her emails and decided to contact me asap. my father had warned me not to go alone "might be a scam", so i asked my bf but he said he couldn't go unless it was a Thursday. so the modeling place calls me back tuesday this time 212-618-1926 reminding me about my appointment the next day, i tell the lady may i come in thursday. Shes like fine and hangs up rudely. On wednesday the modeling place calls me back very rudely smoker lady voice and is like "its 11am and you are not here you have an appointment did you forget?"..im like i reschedule for thursday and shes like ok and hangs up not even saying good bye. since tomorrow is thursday i do my hair taking me about 2 hours and trying to find a cute outfit. i go online to find the place and google transit cannot find this weird address. so knowing that sometimes addresses can be found by phone numbers i type in 14 wall street 212-576-8811 and i find this website. in disbelief i go thru my phone and i find "Amys" original number 347-722-9437 still didnt believe the complaints, then i looked up the number they had called me from yesterday 212 618 1926..all these numbers match up everyones complaint on this blog and other blogs ! thank god i didnt waste my time on going there.. i love google.thanks everyone who posted about these scammers!!

This is definitely a SCAM!! Their office is located at 14 Wall St. 20th Floor. They asked you for professional photo shoot with a photographer for 300+ dollars and 220 dollars for putting up the pictures on their website. If you don't have enough cash or check with you, they'll offer the option of walking downstairs to the ATM machine with you! They said they have another office on 140 Broadway St. 47th floor but I doubt it. So watch out for them! They didn't even provide me with a company name, president of the agency or what so ever.

Just got a call from this weird woman saying that she wanted me to be in a catalog shoot.  Of course I researched it (she was very pushy and awkward and wouldn't give me any information about who was requesting me, a red flag for any remotely aware person). I'm so glad I found this site! I hate scams, and this one was pathetic. DO NOT GO TO THIS MEETING, and block this number!

A woman called Medicine Taylor called me from this number and told me that she wants to meet me at 14th wall street. I went there yesterday. She was horrible no manners, she just wanted me to give her money for my pictures cause mines aparently are horrible. She is looking for gilrs with no representation to scam them, to give her money becase she has a job for them yesterday haha. plz be careful she is very pushy but stupid. Her office is small and has some fake pictures up, as her models. the pictures are from some magazine she cut them out. Girls plz research how a headshot should look like before she try to make you take them. She has no idea about anything . she should be reported to some agency but i don't know were to report, and I gave her no money.

I just got call from these people stating that i requested a catalog and wanted to buy sweaters or something. She wanted to meet at 14 street or so..
I am a busy broker, receiving many phone calls from my clients so i was a little confused when this person called me> I didn't understand what she wanted from me at  first so i asked her to repeat. She insulted me, that i don't understand English  and that she is not gonna repeat herself.
Thank god she hung up first and didn't bother me any further.
However,i would like to complain :) but don't know where to go to.

Total scam. Same here, alex called and asked me a lot of ques like union status and if I have a rep, etc. It was my first time going to something like this so I didn't know it was a scam at first. They asked me to go to 14 wall st and call 212 576 8811 when I'm downstairs so someone can get me. It took them 15 minutes to come down. Christopher took me to the 20th floor and kept telling me the holiday season is a great time to come into the business. Isn't it a little late for holiday catalogs in mid dec? I shouldve realized. I sat in a waiting area for another 10 min and a lady brings me in asking my name and when I asked hers, she ignored the ques. She took me to a small room w some pics on the wall and told me those were some of the people she's represented and again the whole thing about how the holidays are a good time to get into the industry. She showed me a website w more photos and I tried to remember it. Something like castingcall.com or something like that. But then she said I needed to pay $330 for photos. I finally realized it was a scam. I said I couldn't afford it and she asked if I could get the money in any other way. I said no. She said call me in jan if u have the money and promptly escorted me out. A waste of my time. Should have googled it first. Don't bother going there!

same thing. Shady dude called "Alex" who made some kind of vague reference to a catalog.
When I asked him to clarify he kept pushing and asking in an impertinent way if I wanted to come in or not. I told him I didn't know what it was in reference to and he said curtly, "well I guess you aren't interested then. Bye" and hung up.
When I called back the number some weird voicemail came up, "hello, please enter your mailbox number" and when you hung on the line, 5 seconds later it said "goodbye" and hung up. Totally wierd.

I got a call from these people with the same story.  Very hurried and rushed and he was anxious to get off the phone.  I normally ask alot of questions and he pretended not to have heard what I said and said"have a great day" and hung up. He wanted to make an appointment with me the same day before 5pm (it was already 3:45pm). I called back and asked what the name of the company was and what the website was (models.com).  Upon researching the website...why would I need to have an interview with a company who provides free webpages/portfolios to any type of model on their website without ever having to see them in person?  Kind of shady.

I got a call from them. Seemed rather shady as he asked me about my union status and if I have current representation/agent/manager. He said I contacted them about catalogue modeling. Then he said he was from an answering service and would have a rep contact me. When I asked where will they be contacting me from he said "thanks very much have a great day daniel" and hung up on me. I was trying to stop him and say "excuse me" to clarify who the company is, but he hung up anyway. Scam?
