Complaining about telemarketers is a waste of time.  They do nothing to stop them.

A life alert ripoff that calls multiple times today. Each call offered different extras like a pharmacy card or savings coupons. Each call had a different person.  Any caller that will not identify themselves does not deserve my business and is probably a scam.

I've been receiving calls from this number every day. I filed an FCC complaint and had my phone provider block the number.

We have received numerous calls, some close to 10:00 pm at night, representing a company that wants to sell the Alert system to seniors and send you all sorts of coupons in the process.  Each time, we have waited through the lengthy, obnoxious, loud pre-recorded statement and entered #9 to put our number on the do-not-call list, but so far, to no avail. If you dial the number that shows up on caller id (above), you get a recording that this number is not in service.  Very annoying calls.

Whomever these scam artists happen to be, they phone 3-4 times a week, between 7am-9pm. When I pick up, they hang up...!!!???
When the answering machine picks up, they hang up. Caller ID reads, New York Call.

Maybe it's some bored person calling everyone in US. lol.

They're idiots..along with the other 3000 phone scammers!

I talked with my telephone carrier and they said the only way to stop these calls is to call the police and report it as telephone harassment.

This number calls every day at least once , scaring and frightening seniors; supposedly into purchasing support systems.  The call is a recoded message, never a personal contact.   Is this a scam written about in AA R P.  Whatever it is atrocious to frighten seniors into believing they are iunsafe, therefore causing insecurity in their lives.  I do not  know the company name; but this must stop!  Again, the phone number is 212-677-3682 and not available to make redial calls.

I agree with previous posters - this robo-caller keeps changing the last digits of the phone call to dodge the blocked caller list. There is no voice mail message left - but the calls come in at any and all times of day.

Mary, no one can really stop these people from calling. These robocall scammers are almost 100% operated from South America
or Northern Africa countries. They use VOIP connections for the calls because you can make many thousands of calls for VERY little cost. VOIP also allows them to spoof the caller ID and call origination info in order to make people believe the call is legitimate. The best thing you can do is use a home phone system capable a blocking the numbers so they can't call back. Unfortunately, this has only limited utility since the scammers will only change their numbers after only a couple weeks.

You can also contact your phone company and have then put your phone number on  the "unlisted" and "unpublished" list. This way your number will not be listed in the phone book and no one can get your number by calling 411. You also need to be very careful about giving your number out over the internet since these scammers have ways of intercepting numbers and creating their own call lists from that. When I am forced to give a phone number when filling out some form or other on the internet, I always give our local city police number.

These steps may not stop the calls, but it sure does slow them down!

This is a scam offering seniors the "piece of mind" of having a medical alert system.

As a rule of thumb, you can bet the ranch that if you get a robocall telemarketer, IT IS A SCAM! PERIOD! The problem is that most of them are being operated from other countries (this one happens to be operated out of Venezuela) over VOIP lines so they can spoof the phone number caller-ID info and make it appear the call has originated from anywhere in the world. Thus, our state and federal DO Not Call lists are meaningless and the government is powerless to do anything.

The medic alert for seniors scammers are nothing more than truly disgusting scammers of the elderly, who try to get our credit card numbers to cheat us.
