The turd buckets called my house too. I bought a Sentry Call Blocker off eBay about three weeks ago today and it seems to be working as advertised. It can block 9999 numbers. And you can add a number to "Accept" or "Reject". Since I bought the device, I'm up to 5 numbers in Accept and 9 in Reject. My phone doesn't even ring if a rejected number calls, and anybody calling must hit 1 to ring my phone. Robo calls are stopped dead I their tracks. Great device!

That's funny, just had about the same exchange with Peter, thick accent that was not local! More than the accent that was thick, took him a while to figure out I was playing him.

Try this method:
If you answer the phone for these scammers, tell them the battery on your phone is about to die,and can they call back, and instead of giving them another of YOUR numbers give them the number for your local politician and or police department.
As long as you don't say that it is your number I don't think the police can touch you, and the calls should stop real fast

My caller ID said this call was from Food Pantry NYC. When I answered, there was an Indian who said he was from Windows Service Center, and that they had been receiving bad reports about my computer. I told the guy I had a service technician under contract to take care of my computer.

I was then threatened with having my IP address  revoked if they were not allowed to fix my computer. These scam artists are getting bolder every day.

Im recieving calls from 212 on a daily basis.. Basically missed calls.

Just got a call from 212 777-3456, listed as Food Bank of NYC a man with a heavy accent said he was calling about my computer.  I believe the same person has called before from a different number; always about my computer.

I'm at a medical office and they have called us 13 times today and continue to keep calling. They are interfering with our patient care and we need to a way to get them to stop calling.

Got a call from this people and i google there number and talk to a friend of mine and found out where they lived and told the dude nice house and i was tracing the call, they hung up and since havent got a call. Its nice to know how to find things out about people.

This number 212-777-3456 keeps coming up as Food Bank NYC.  They are calling at least four or five times a day.  If somebody finds a way to nail their hide to the wall, please share that info with the rest of us.  I, for one, would like to see to it that they are put out of business.

I had the same caller id message saying it was a food bank NYC when I called the number it had the same message that you had

I too was being called relentlessly from this number.  I finally decided to play along and found out that they are calling from www dot systemcare247 dot com and the number listed on their site is 480-409-4663.  Also according to their website they are a unit of Opus e-Solutions.  Google searches on Opus e-Solutions give all kinds of information... linkedin pages for people who work there, facebook pages, etc...

59 pages of complaints. This is kind of a record for this site. I would not answer the phone or talk to them because apparently this is a scam group. Caller id probably says Food Bank because by scamming you they put food on their table. If they are calling from a foreign country then there is nothing fcc or ftc or local law enforcement can do. Thank you 1800 notes for helping us to identify scams!

Stop calling me

I get calls from this number daily, I do not answer the phone, they call 2 and 3 times a day,

Person called with heavy Indian accent asking to go to my computer as they were going to fix bugs. They said they were calling from Windows department. He said his name was Daniel Smith ( I could not stop laughing). I pushed him to give me info of their company and he finally said it was not Microsoft but System Care something..., He would not disclose location of company or  number to call back, etc. He said they would give me this info after after providing service... I said I was going to report them to the police. He passed me to another person also with heavy Indian accent This time he said he was calling from India with the same story but better English skills. I asked all sorts of questions and he said he would give me that info after fixing my problem.... I said I was going to report the call to the police and he finally hang up...

Called three times today (5/27/2014) and once every day since last Thursday.  Caller ID says Food Bank NYC.

Got a call from this number Caller ID Says its the foodbank in New york City the person on the other end that answered says he is calling because my computer registered an error the first time I got this call the other person miss identified me and could not tell my what model my computer was so I hung up this last time I told the look I know this is a scam stop calling me.

Yeah the guy who called me I could not even understand! I am getting calls that come up from new york, california, north carolina and florida...all the same annoying indian people I can't understand!! what is this!??

I answered and told them to stop calling and they are STILL calling mt cell phone! I am on the national do not call list also!! How do I stop these calls!

Get a call everyday but no one speaks when i answer

I keep getting calls from 212-777-3456 the caller ID says it NYC food bank. When I answer there is no one there or a man telling me he is calling from tech support for my computer. He does know my last name. I reported it to the do not call registery and blocked it from my phone. They have called at least 10 times.

They call - they leave no message!!!!!  What a waste of everyone's time.........

Next time try Linux or Chromebook. Keep getting more obscure.

Within the last week we started receiving calls multiple times a day from this number.  We are in Ohio.  Never answered because we didn't know the location of area code 212.  Put phone # into our phone so when they call, our phone will not ring.  5/21/2014

Call my home phone twice a day and say yo have errors on computer and they are with Windows. When I say this sounds like a scam they hang up. I am on the do not call list.
number does not exist.

Called me 3 times, twice Tuesday once Wednesday, stated addresses and asking if I was in a car accident. Never left voicemails. And said they worked with Allstate, State Farm and geico.  They didn't give me a name of the company or what they were  calling in regards to. Just asked questions. Hung up on him. And blocked the number

get 1 or 2 calls each day from 212 777 3456, muslim turd saying something , I told him go eat a pig and then screaming on the phone , I hang up. I am on the national do not call list but that has not stopped them.
