This number called me and male voice said, my computer is having virus, I don't have time to play games, So I hung up on them.

Just got a call from them. Rejected it. Now something on my voice mail.

Got 2 phone calls today from this number. The first time I didn't answer and the recorded message was just "good bye". The second time I decided to pick up and immediately got a "good bye" also.  Apparently people have been having the same problem since 2010. Why isn't this fixed?

Calling my cell phone wanting to know something about my computer. Told him he was not supposed to be calling my cell phone and Los that I was on the no call list.. He laughed at me. Was quite rude

Every time I had a calls with unknown number or not registered with my account I don't answer it. I go to reverse phone look up to trace the number information such as owners name, address and other information regarding to the number. I used site http://www.tracingphonenumber.us/ it?s really effective and accurate as well.

The number comes up as belonging to Debra Brown New York NY. Someone there hacked my sisters computer and pretended to be from Microsoft. All in all we loose $288.99. We need to find these people...fast!

My elderly mother received a call from this number. The heavy accented guy said that he was with Dell and wanted to talk my mom through removing a virus on her computer. My mom knew enough to hang up on the guy, figuring it was a scam.

This number called me and male voice said, my compute is having virus. After two days, I happend to switch on my computer, it is not really booting. Looks some thing fishy.

Didn't answer as I figured it was a scam call. Left a blank voicemail. Since I got call display the number of times I've had to put up with the computer virus fraudsters has dropped to almost nil.

This number is calling now stating they r a depot for Microsoft and there are junk and viruses on my computer which they would walk me thru to get rid of...I kept on the phone for over 45 mins acting stupid, until my laughter got too loud and hung up...was a free entertainment for a boring night

This phone number has called me 4 times today and then I also received a call from 974-217-9508 - both giving me similar information.  The caller from the 974 number identified himself as "Martin"  from OS ADVISOR.  Callers from both numbers had very thick-heavy accents and bad grammar (and I grew up in a multi-cultural home and have little trouble understanding English spoken by others from another country) I asked him to go get someone who spoke English ..... he pretended to go get someone, but after a few words I realized it was the same guy !  He told me that my internet server called them to report that they were receiving "error messages" from my "windows computer" and gave me a call back number of 728-414-6518.  I asked him what error messages they were receiving - and the response was always the same - "go to your computer, and I will show you with your own eyes" which sounded like a scam just in the terminology.  I asked how we would fix this problem - and he told me to go to my computer and asked if it was on.  I said yes - he asked if I could see the keyboard - I said yes (I wasn't in front of my computer) then he asked if I could see the CTRL button - I said yes, then he asked me what button was next to the CTRL button - I told him the it looked like the Windows button.  He said that's right - then asked me to push it and tell him what I saw.  Instead I asked how he obtained my phone number.  He told me that my Internet Server contacted him and reported the error message. I told him that my internet provider is local and that they would have contacted me themselves.  He said, "No mam and then started repeating the above sequence.  I told him I didn't have any money. He said it wouldn't cost any money and then asked me "who told you that ?" I told him I didn't believe him - thought the call was a scam and not to call me back, then I hung up - and while I was saying that, he was saying "no - mam, no-mam, no-mam.

Then I called my Internet Provider - told them about the call - and was told that it's a Nation-wide scam and what this group is doing is getting people to get into their computer information and do something (didn't go into detail) so they can gain access to personal information.

In reading responses from others - I'm seeing one similarity that information has been compromised recently or in the past.  Mine was several months ago (ordered a product from a reputable company whose web site was hacked into and 17,800 credit cards were stolen) ... So, I think that is the common thread on how they obtain phone numbers.

I'm in montreal, canada. they called today, left no message. i hate them! will the police do anything about them? this should be illegal..

in reading the comments made about this number i see it has been going on at least from 2010 now here it is 2013 and the number is still making the same type of calls.  We got one of these calls where there is no one on the line and then a computer saying goodbye  when calling it back there is no answer. Found out that this is a verizon landline and contacted Verizon I was given a number (1-800-257-2969) for reporting the number called that the next day and was told to contact my phone company to have the number blocked.  Hope this helps some if nothing else maybe Verizon will do something about this number if they get enough reports on it

Just received a call from this # stating he was with Windows and I had malicious software!  Gets he had no success with the Grants game!

Got a scam call today April 6, 2013. Caller claimed to be from Microsoft Support. Very heavy accent. Could not speak clear English.  Asked for a manager, same thing, accent, bad grammar. Then a man claiming to be a Sr. Microsoft technician asked me to turn on my computer.  I refused and asked for a call back number, they gave me a number 360 450 5569 and claimed it was toll free.  Every one I spoke with was full of crap.  This is not a toll free number. I reported both numbers here.

I am really getting annoyed by the call number. Apparently, that number caller left me a voice mail which had an Indian accent. Not the Indian as the native one but the one in Asia and all they left is a hello hello helllo, are you there and hanged up. I am pretty sure they are the "scamming mircosoft company that proclaimed that you have a virus on your laptop and asking to download their program so yeah.

I received a call from this number today. I answered it. The guy said he was with Microsoft and they received a report that my computer had received some virus. He wanted me to give him some info. I told him he was a scammer because Microsoft wouldn't call me because they don't have my number. He said, who told you that Microsoft doesn't call? I told him he was a scammer and that I was going to report this number. He whispered something to somebody else at his end as I was telling him he was a scammer. He then hung up fast.

Well apparently they have different usages for the same number.  Out of the six pages of complaints they went from gov. grants to software on your computer.  They must be all over the country for ours came from NY City and I see they also come from Arizona.  Be careful, bad news guys.

We rec'd a call from this number on 3/19/2013 at 6:57 AM Arizona time. The guy had a heavy Indian accent.  I terminated the call without listening to his speel.  People were still asleep in my householdd at this time in the morning!

I have been receiving calls from that number and they say they are with Microsoft and there is a problem with my computer.  The next time they called they said they were with Windows.  They have an ancient and hang up when I ask them to put me on their do not call list.!  I am just going to set my phone to send them straight to voice mail!

I am receiving calls from this number and when I pick up, I get a message "we're sorry".  I try to call back it only rings and no one picks up.  WHat can I do to block this number?

I am having the same problem. They keep calling me but when I answer they dont say anything then it says Good bye and hangs up. They call me atleast 2 or 3 times a day. How do I get this to stop??

I received a call from this number 212-777-3475. I didn't answer it. I tried to call it back and at first it was busy, then just rang. However, I do not know if it is "Related or NOT" but my Bank about an hour later and Notified me that my DEBIT CARD WAS COMPROMISED with numerous "online purchases!"
