ANOTHER TYPICAL SCAM....WANTING MONEY! Food bank? Give me a break.

Called 9-26-16 @ 755PM. Left no message.

Just had a call from this number.  Wanted me to start my computer and tell them what the message was.  Told him what I thought of his pathetic attempts at access and besides it won't work with a Mac...  Revenge is sweet and he did get a bit upset at me.  Oh well, I can live with that

We are in Australia and got a call from this number today.  Last week I had a call that had the caller ID blocked and they were going on about my computer. I blew a whistle down the phone.  If someone from this number calls again they will also get the whistle blown down the phone.

I live just north of Montreal (QC, Canada). I just got a call from them this morning. When I answered, nobody talked. I hung up. Being in Quebec, I rarely receive call from foreign area codes, so I was curious. Now that I know who they are, i won't answer to that number anymore.

Called regarding my pc told them did not have a pc have heard that they try to get access they soon hung up when i said i did not have a pc beware its a scam

Yes, its a scam.  

If you had a Windows computer and did everything they told you to do they would have downloaded a lot of malware onto your computer, then charged you a lot of money to remove that malware.  But they would not remove all of it.  They would leave malware that would allow them to read everything in your computer, including your on-line banking information.  And they might leave your computer set so the could use it to send spam.  

You were wise to hang up on them.

I am from Portugal this number call me. He said he was from Liverpool and that my computer was sending corrupted messages to them, I hask what company they where he said the name of the company ISS Something they wanted me to clik the windows button but my computer is a MAC I said that and I understand that they started to be a little nervous, they didn´t knew what to do : )  : )  : )  them a they said they where going to pass to the IOS Lion Department But It was the same guy that was talking : )  : )  : )  : )  : ) than they told me to go to the internet and open a page of the internet i told him to go to that place and hung up.
It´s a scam isn't it?

Last weeks I was called three times by this number, last time he said that he called regarding our PC.
My son told him: No way! and he hung up.

It is a spoof company calling itself the "Service Centre" and trying to get you to give them access to your PC. I just tell them that the police is informed and they hang up. A tedious nuisance.

Just had a call he said his name was William and that my computer was downloading dangerous stuff from the internet so I hung uo, it's a scam

Just dont know why are they calling,  i just pick up the phone and they drop the phone

Star 51 may cost you a buck or so to have the number 212-777-3458 traced.....  But isn't it worth the piece and quiet you'll have.

Want to put an end to this unknown caller, and the phone calls from number 212-777-3458?  After the call is made, YOU push star 51 on your phone, then hang up.  That number immediately flags the phone number to your local phone provider as a harassing caller and is traced.  Do this 3 times in a row after each time that number calls you, your phone company will automatically block that number from calling again.  Sends the party of that number a letter of harassment and unwanted phones calls, as well as telling them why they no longer have phone service.

Just received this call.  When I answered, there was just silence.  Again I said Hello louder, again silence than the person hung up.  Caller ID indicated "unknown name".

Was called from this New York number. I live in Oregon. When I picked up, there was nobody there and then the line went dead. Caller ID just said "New York, NY".

Why do these people get preferential treatment from phone companies, by being allowed to keep calling without any trace and rejecting any call coming in so there's no accountability on them?

It's a Real Estate Seminar invitation...they are relentless.  Text messages, phone calls, mailings...no idea how I got on this list!

Got a call from this number a couple of days ago.  I answered and just heard a click, then the dial tone.  Yesterday they called again and I let it go to the answering machine.  No message left.  The area code is New York.  I am in Canada. ??????  I don't know anyone in the states.

yep, same here. i dont owe any debts, but i am getting this call too with the same issues. Now i have to go out of my way to block this number.

received incoming call.  opened the phone and no one was there, the call had just ended. Didn't recognize the number or area code.  tried calling back and recording said something about dialing the number... didn't try again.  On Google search, there are notes about it being a food bank in Manhattan / NYC, and a lot of notes from people who try answering the call, and it always disconnects.

i got the same call from this number also and I try to return call. A message said it is an invalid number. I google it and here what I found.

Probably looking for a donation.  At first, thought it was moviephone...  777-FILM... but the numbers are off by one digit.

Have had two calls from this # today. Didn't recognize the area code so didn't answer. They didn't leave a message so isn't anyone I know or want to talk to.
