A few days ago I received first call from this #.

Your right it was a "Commanding Officer Mark Avery from the DEA." We called the DEA and they said no one by that name or phone number works for them.  What a bunch of scammers. I was just upset that they wouldn't stop calling and I had to change my phone number again.  They even went so far as to have someone else call from the so called US Marshal who I could hardly understand because of his accent.  they said that they need my address,LOL.... so they can come and pick me up to take me to the Dominican Republic to face charges.  That part made me laugh!! They even told me my phone was tapped so I can't call anyone and tell them. It also makes me angry that they have taken some people of their life savings and that really is sad.  I was told that by the FDA.

Got the call last week from a black male "Commanding Officer Mark Avery" regarding "an investigation".  
Like every poster here I'm going to say
1. don't call back
2. if you do, don't send any money anywhere
and
3.  The DEA has never gone after individual consumers of overseas pharmacies, they would need 100X the staffing to do that and they're not really interested in victimless crimes anyway they have MUCH bigger fish to fry.  

Its not even worth getting upset about, suckers and scammers abound, that's life.   Continue to be rational, use the internet to research anything suspicious and warn others, and you'll be fine.      :-)

I contacted the FDA and if you have lost money you should contact the FDA at 800-521-5783.  Also show your Mom this Website from the FDA where it tells you about this scam.  It is an international scam ring. They target anyone that has purchased drugs (medicine) over the internet.  Mine goes back 3 years ago and still they found me even after I changed my phone number and am unlisted!.  I changed my number again because of the harrassment!  I'm really mad now!

they tried to say that I ordered drugs through the internet a few years ago.  I told them no I didn't and they said that someone is using my name and address.  In order to clear my name I have pay money to get the charges dismissed.  If I don't 2 FBI will come to m agents will come to my house to pick me up to take me to the airport to  face charges in the Dominican Republic.  the guy is very good at what he does because he makes you believe he is trying to help you clear up these charges.  When I started to ask questions he changed the subject.  They called my house all day long up until the 4:30 deadline to get them money thru Western Union.  Now I know that you never EVER Western Union money of any kind to anyone.

It is a scam. These are people who own a million dollar home in New York and only make money by pulling all kinds of scams.  I don't know why no one has gone after them.  They scared me and kept on calling all day trying to get me to western union them $10,000.  They posed as the DEA and FDA and I called the DEA and FDA and no such person exists and I should call the local police which I did.  Do NOT listen to these people. They will try all kinds of scare tactics.  They are lazy people who do not want to work.  They are from the Dominican Republic and use USA phone numbers.  They work with people from all over the United States.  When I called the number where they called from they answer with "DEA".  I wouldn't think that the DEA would like it that someone is personating a Drug Enforcement Officer.  I am cheking into trying to get someone to arrest these people!  You should do the same.

I got the calls today.  They threatened that 2 DEA will come pick me up if I didn't western Union them $15,000 by 4:30 today.  They were going to take me to the Dominican Republic.  They gave the names Commander Mark Avery was from DEA and Sgt Martinez who is with the US Marshall Calling from the same number.  I called the DEA and they said there's no such people and  that I need to call the Sheriff.  That I am being set up for a robbery or a very big scam.  I did but no one is really interested in investigating them.  The scammers stopped calling after the 4:30 deadline but I have changed my phone number as of this morning.  Amazing they all have the Spanish accent just like the people from the Dominican Republic.  Don't know how they got my unlisted phone number!  Please don't EVER send anyone money without investigating it first. i ALSO CHECKED WHO THE PHONE NUMBER BELONGS TO AND IT WAS COMING FROM A PRIVATE HOUSE!!

They called and said they are from the DEA and I would get arrested if I don't send them $2500 thru western union. They said I purchased illegal med out of the country and they need to money to start the paperwork in Britsih Columbia.  WHAT A SCAM

they have taken my elderly mother for hundreds of dollars. They told her this number is to mr. thomas edward, with Federal Reserve bank of new york! I cant convince my mom, its fake and a scam. Any advice or help? PLEASE.

They are working with a scam group that calls to sell meds. They never ship the meds.  Then this guy calls claiming to be FDA or DEA or whatever & goes into this spiel about arresting you for buying meds out of the country UNLESS you send them money for a fine being assessed against you in the Dominican Republic.

Sadly, our country is so screwed up little pieces of human waste like this get away because nobody in the Justice system will go after them.  They are too busy worrying about their political career, or taking time off.

This is a scam artist (although I hate to use the word "artist").  They are people who can barely speak English (except when they REALLY need to), have come to our country, and are taking hard earned money from dedicated Americans.  Do NOT answer these calls or talk to these scumbags.
