I got a call from this number and my grandma picked up. They said something about my gas and electricity bill. They even knew my address but I let them know I wasn't the house holder and that the house holder only speaks chinese. And this lady with some sort of accent goes "can you help me w chinese? I wanna learn chinese." I'm like "you don't have a translator" she's like "no we only have spanish and english" After that I just hung up was this a prank?! this is f****ng ridiculous. Does anyone know what number this is

Called claiming to be able to reduce my con ed bill, but they couldn't explain why they are calling from a phone number with a forged caller ID, and they wouldn't give me their number to call them back.

Is this how a legitimate business acts?

I  answered  this number and it was a company that sounded like an outsourced company from South Asia.

I am assuming this company is basically just calling up different numbers to have people switch their utility suppliers.

Very shady stuff though, because when I asked how they got my number they couldn't give me a straight answer. I just told them not to call me again. I suggest you all do the same.

From my understanding I believe this to be a scam call. They talked about a Utility Expansion Reduction thing that was supposed to help save 10% on both gas and electricity and asked for my account numbers and being amazed at this stupidity, I hung up. I tried calling this number back afterwards and no service.

212-786-4636 on my caller ID. Some Indian guy wanting to talk to person in charge of electric bill. Told him not to call back, I'm on the Do Not Call List. Called the phone number to see what company it was, got this recording "The number you dialed is not in service".... Sounded legit, like the phone company but.. was that their own message or phone company message?
Called Verizon. Verizon said that happens when "they" have the line set up not to take incoming calls... TELEMARKER/SCAMMER

I got 2 calls at my office by this number daily. One time I could not stick with it and I picked up the call, Indian accent guy said he was from con ed, and blah blah asked me to provide my account number to reduce my bill pay, I asked him if he was really from con ed, he started saying the other company name, nothing is changing, then I told him I did'nt feel like I wanted to give you my account number because you guys were scammer and stopped calling me!.

Wow, today, after a few week, they are back again!
These are just nightmare and they never give up!

They called me several times. A lady with foreign accent told me that they will kill me and sell my intestine if I don't switch to their service. I asked her if we can negotiate the terms, and she no. So I sent them a blank check signed to the address she provided. I am not sure if I made a good deal, but I am still alive.

I have been getting calls from this number for some time. Very annoying and persistent. When I call back there is no answer.

Also when I just tried phoning back to the exact number that came in on my phone I get a recorded announcement that states "this is a non working number". Bizarre.

This is annoying. I already receive countless calls even though we are on a no call list from Google and can't get them to stop either.

Today I learned that a neighbor was getting annoying calls from -- according to caller id -- me!

Now.. that's not my number. And we Alex Barkans from NY don't generally hustle on the phone selling  utilities with the help of a heavy accent and a serious case of asthma.

I don't know how to track down the real identity of these jerk telemarketers, but we can block them!

I don't know who these aggravating so and so's are, but it is after 9 p.m. where I live and they are still calling.

I have been receiving 6 to 8 calls a day from this number. When I answer it sounds like the guy is from Pakastan. I went on line to see if others have been receiving a phone call from this number. He is very annoying the way he talks to you too.

This is a bunch of desperate (Indian? pretending to be Indian? Out of work actors? :)) people trying to scam people out of money. Sad.   814-343-7210 is another one connected to this.  Sometimes they say "I'm officer Whoever" and unless you act fast and get a lawyer you will be arrested.  They will try to read you a fake statement.  Don't even entertain that.  Just say no, you are are reporting them to the FBI.  Then do it.  It's easy and efficient.  Want to report a number to the NYPD immediately?  Wait a few seconds after they called you and press *52.  It's automatic.  Don't delete your call records and take notes on whatever they say.  Impersonating a federal agent is a very serious offense.

Don't know who this is but some days they average a call every 30 to 40 minutes.  What a boring job someone has!

Received a cll from this number,caller id said from Morrocco

I keep getting calls from 212-786-4636.  When it goes to voice mail.  They either don't leave a message or just say Hello to the voice mail.  Or they say I have been kicked from this conference call? From what I'm reading about this number it sounds like a scam of some sort

Received a phone call from 212-786-4636. The call came in at 10:05 PM. I didn't answer the call but called them back and got a message saying that number had been disconnected. Caller ID Showed the caller as "Out of Area" and the phone number.
