I have also received the same calls for about two weeks now, and when they had the last four of my soc.sec. I got scared and started looking for more info. Very glad I found this site and know its all a big scam. My callers are also using the names Jessica and Nelson David.

These are a bunch of Indian nationals trying to defraud the american people of their hard earned money.  Got a call from "Peter White"  the same old script they have used for years....The minute you receive this message I need your or your retained attorney to call the hot line to my division.   Come on.  At least use a different script.  You received this call if you applied for or had a payday loan with a company paid for or not.  These are not attorneys they are fraud and any money pay them you should just consider it thrown in the shredder.  You can Google the script they use and you will find out they have used this on tons of people.  I called them and informed them the second call they placed was to my office which is a violation of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.  While I am talking to him the guy hangs up and I get a busy signal everytime I call the number now.  Too bad for them.

This is the same call ther others are getting, but this time his name is Thomas Scott. It is threatening and harassing. If you call the number back, it is busy. Shows as a private caller on my ID

Just received a phone call from Nelson David. It was for my son. When I asked for his name and phone number to give to my attorney, he was real quiet. Then I asked for the Court case number and the County it is filed in. He was even quieter. So he says, "Let me get my supervisor.". When he gets back on the phone it is STILL THE SAME MAN. I asked for same info again. I also asked when was he served?  VIA E MAIL HE TELLS ME. Having worked for a Court system, I can tell you, that is not proof of service. I tell him that. I must have had him confussed and he gave me the same name NELSON DAVID. I told him now I've caught you in a lie and I do not appreciate this and maybe our State Attorney General should contact him. He said, "let me transfer you again.". The line went blank and then dead. If they can't provide any case details BEWARE. If they reference a lawsuit that's been filed BEWARE. The plaintiffs attorney can't be calling the defendant unless you are representing yourself. What they are doing is harrassment. Charges should properly be filed against THEM.

Got a call today while I was out from a "Nick Jones."  Tried to call back but line always busy.  Yes, just another scam.  Glad I got this website so I would know.  If he calls back at my workplace, I will let him know he is in violation of the Fair Debt Collection Act.

I've been getting a call from this number for the past 2 or 3 months. This time while I was here in my office at work my cell rang and it showed an UNKNOWN number so I didn't pick up. I listened to the voice mail and a man with a strong indian accent claiming to be "Ryan Smith" states he was my written attorney on record and that a lawsuit had been filed against me and to call him back at this number. I'm so glad I came across this site cause I was ready with something to say. So I call him back and I turn the tables around this time. I say is this Ryan Smith? And I tell him who I am and that I have my attorney next to me and I'd like my case number. I can tell you that when I said those two things he sounded so nervous. I go on to tell him that my attorney wants to hear the case number and that I'll be putting him on the line.....he says ok...then he hangs up! I try to call back and the line is busy! Complete scam artist!

Also got a call from this guy with a real thick accent, possibly middle eastern, Indian, Pakistani, etc. who says his name is Mark Taylor. I researched the # and came up with New York City in a borough of Manhattan. I was told to not be alone as I will face the consequences and am in grave danger. Also that he prays for me as he is not responsible for what happens next. I am a former Law Enforcement Officer and have had dealings with these types of calls before, at least been going on for the past decade. But this guy really pissed me off. With all the other crap going on in the world today, now you have to deal with these guys. I intend to follow this closely and call on current and past resources to possibly intimidate, or shut down the operation.

I've got this call or some variation of this call for quite some time. The name is ALWAYS different.

I received two threatening calls from at my place of employment today from a Nelson David. He said I would go to jail if I did not pay $6000.00 I informed him it was illegal to threaten me in that way. He tried to verify the last 4 digits of my ss# which wer'ne even correct. If he calls my place of employment again I am going to call the police. I am so sick of this crap! I work very hard to earn a living only to have people try to steal from me!!!! I am OUTRAGED!!!

Um I dotn have a lawyet/ attorney so i instantly knew this was a fraud. This is rediculous, and i cant beilve that this has just been going on and no one has done anything about it. Good ol America eh?
