They are on my cell phone black list.  They go right into voice mail and get deleted.    Reported to donotcall.gov  - Do Not Call registry. If people are really singing their praises, why would they go to a telemarketer scam forum to do it?  Please.

But ... why are they making unsolicited calls to people who have not applied for a job, or have not ordered things from them?

Can you answer that question?

Mimeo is a real company. I've been interviewing with them and missed their call and had to check the number. They are not trying to steal your info. They are a real printing company.

A man wanted to speak with a training manager regarding training materials.  I asked if he were introducing his company to become an approved vendor, and he said No.  I then repeated my request that he tell me what the call was in reference to, and he hung up.

Various male and female callers from this number have wanted to reprint or preserve articles written about the company or speak with the employee in charge of creative design.  The last caller hung up when I asked for a reason.  Places like this are known for shoddy, overpriced work.

This is an on demand printing solution, and actually was very surprised at the professionalism and high quality. I run training programs for Six Sigma and I was very hesitant when Jacob called me a few times. I finally said yes to a demonstration and could not believe that I had been avoiding this awesome solution. A converted happy patron :)!

Every city has a local print shop that you can use. Why use a company that uses questionable sales tactics? I doubt that shill postings on 800 notes will save you anything.

I have received several calls from this company, Mimeo.  They claim to be able to "print" our company's teaching course ware material". This in effect is asking us to hand over company internal information for resale or whatever kind of distribution.
Bottom line.....SCAM

They call me every two weeks asking for people who aren't with the company anymore.  I have told them we're not interested and they continue to call.  Their sales tactics are pathetic.

Got a call from this number.  Left a message for me by name saying it was Will Sanchez and to call back at 917-289-3052.  Sounded rude - didn't say what call was in regards to.
Sounds like they must have gotten my name from someone in the organization.  Will not be calling them back.

So how do you like working for them? ;^P

If you write like a shill, I tend to believe you ARE a shill.  "FedEx on steroids"?  "Cool company"?  "Charged what was promised"?  "FEDEX ON STEROIDS?" (I'm still shaking my head over that one, hence the repetition with emphasis.)

You do realize that those are all on page 6 of the "Every Shill's Pocket Phrase Book"?

I have no idea if this outfit is a scam, but your posts makes me suspect that you are, and as such, does not speak well for them in my thinking.

[I know the post I am replying to is old, but it sort of leapt out at me, and had not been previously scrutinized.  Besides, they are apparently still actively calling people based on the post by Cindy.]

I just received a sales call from this number 212-847-3000 and the man asked me who is in charge of training and our training materials.  I told him that I am not in training but that I know for a fact that we do not need their service.  He said that everyone thinks that they do not need our service, but you actually do.  Then I once again told him that we would not be interested in their service.  He made a snarky comment that my boss would probably be mad that I was not interested in saving money for the company.  So, I said that its time for you to meet the Dial Tone and hung up.  Nothing but high pressure sales jerks.

I have asked this organization to stop calling me at least three times.

They will set you up acting interested in a service or product you sell - then change the conversation to selling you printing services.

I just filed a complaint on the federal 'Do Not Call Registry" www.donotcall.gov/ .

I suggest those whom can't get rid of these high-pressure sales calls do the same.

Got a call asking for someone who does not work here.  When I said so, the rude guy on the phone told me he knows she works here since he recently spoke with her.  Ummmm.  No she doesn't.  He made it sound like it was important.

212-847-3000 is an annoying company that calls every other day pestering the hell out of people in the office. I just googled the nubmer and found who they are.

Mimeo.com, Inc. provides on-demand and online document printing, binding, and distribution services for businesses and individuals. It offers paper stocks, customized tabs, and slip sheets; prints Word, PowerPoint, Quark, Excel, pdf, bound and unbound, and Illustrator type documents; allows its users to update and store in online library; and solutions for training and HR professionals, sales and marketing professionals, operations and IT professionals, and administrative professionals. The company was founded in 1998 and is headquartered in New York, New York. It has production and distribution facilities in Hayward, California; Newark, New Jersey; and Memphis, Tennessee.

I've asked over and over to have the calls stopped - they keep calling - I have the nimber on my phone so that from now on when I see 212-847-3000 pop up its going to be a pick up and hang up situation.

If you have caller ID on your work phone, just pick up and hang up.  Or yet again remind them you've told them to stop calling and BY LAW they must stop (however, since they break the law with impunity I doubt they will.) Another tactic would be to tell them to wait a minute, you're taking a picture of your Caller ID and recording them and you - particularly you saying DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER AGAIN, REMOVE IT FROM YOUR CALL LIST.  This is actually NOT illegal in most states and even if it IS illegal in your state, so what??  It will probably get them to quit calling!!

Have received at least a dozen calls from this phone number. Since I know no one in the 212 Area Code, I have answered none of them.

Further, since there is no voice mail from the calls, I consider the calls unimportant.

Likely a scam, as any legitimate business or person would leave voice mail with request for call back.

FYI.

Keep getting calls from this number and no message. Google says it's a printing company called Mimeo, however, their calls are now coinciding with other annoying scamming calls, so I'm not sure if this is a legit number or not. Recieved this call and after I hung up on them, I got a call from 612.852.3650. If you google this number, it is affliated with page after page of reported scams such as credit card refi, payday loans, missing grand daughters who need money, etc.
