Asking them to take you off their calling list works - until you buy your next ticket. Then the calling starts again. Not going to any concerts and hence not buying any tickets anymore is obviously the only persistent way to keep them from annoying me with calls twice a week.

Why would you expect them to leave a message? They're doing their job to raise money by calling on the phone.

Pick up the phone next time, tell them you're not going to give money. Problem solved.

so that's who calling me.  i went to the new york philharmonic for a concert on 12/4/10 for my music class. i have no money i wish they leave me alone.

I've gotten several calls with no message from 212-875-0588.  I bought 1 set of tickets for a performance.  Wish they would leave me alone.

New York Philharmonic for sure. They do not leave messages either, and they really are persistent.
While I am sympathetic to their needs--arts non profit needing money--the calls are a bit too much and all too frequent.

They are by far the most aggressive solicitors I've encountered in a long time. They run every ploy to try and get you to contribute... guilt trips, pity, etc. I even had one start to enter a contribution from my credit card while I was on the phone without my permission! I refuse to support them anymore due to these practices. We're all hurting, stop calling me! They also call from a large variety of #s and never leave a message. If you get a call from 212-875-XXXX and no message, assume its them...

The NY Philharmonic won't stop calling me from a variety of numbers! I went there ONCE with student tickets.  Can't afford a subscription...leave me alone!
