They just called me saying "They were the FBI and offering free home security systems!" LOL

Call from NY to my Cal home.  I say hello, then nothing.  Finally a woman comes on and asks for my husband by name.  I tell her he isn't in and may I take a message.  She said, "no message" and hung up.  I figured it was either another fundraiser or a political call.  We get a dozen a week and they don't leave messages.  Sick to death of it.  We are retirement age but we aren't so gullible.

Rang, I picked up, nobody there. Was curious to see who 'NEW YORK CALL' was, and how they knew me. Alas, found the answer here.

Have been getting several calls from all over the country, of which this is one.  I am starting to report these numbers as I seem to get one almost every half hour each day.  I usually don't answer and the phone hangs up on the third ring.

An unwanted, unneeded call

Did not leave a message.  Called back and it rang busy....

Caller said the FBI had noted a number of break-ins in my area.......Promised a free alarm system.....if they could put a small sign in my yard  ....  enter 9 to be removed from their calling list.

Another robo-dialed "home security" scam call in violation of do-not-call list.  Wish I had an address for these a**hole telemarketers.  I'd have Mario pay them a visit.  Worthless Federal do-not-call program is just a full-employment system for government wonks.

I answered a call from this number and got no response on the other end. My caller ID showed:

The DoNotCall list has become another worthless government bureaucracy.  There is never any enforcement regardless of how egregious the abuses are.  I reported this number to my state Attorney General and got a very nice letter back saying saying it do nothing.  The rest of the letter was a campaign message saying what a great job the AG was doing protecting Ohioans.

Same caller ID here. I did not answer it.

Well I got a call from them last Friday.  I think I figured out how to irritate the piss out of them. I hooked my printer up as fax machine and on the 4th ring they get the squeel of their life. Hope this takes care of them.

Simply put, they stay in business becuase every single day, some idiot, some gullible fool, falls prey (especially the elderly). THIS IS NOT A REAL COMPANY. All they want is your Identity and your credit card. Especially your credit card. Dont fall prey. NO COMPANY will randomly call your for "free security" that doesnt even sound right. I mean goodness gracious. Plus, companies, ethically, rationally, and legally are required by LAW, and common sense, to identify themselves, pre call, prior to sale, and during.

The scam continues becuase people fall for it. EASY MONEY! Please warn others. Seriously, I cant stress that enough. IF they arent making money, they arent going to waste money in their operation. DUH. Warn others, take the time to report, if they claim to be FBI, please notify the FBI or local agent, file a complaint with the Do Not Call, your state attorney general office. You can *57 to trace the call.

Blocking the number is useless, all their numbers are fowarded and spoofed/faked. They will use another number. They are desperate. No legitimate company would do that. (All they want is your $). Take the time and report and warn.

I never answer numbers I do not recognize.  When they call I simply ignore the call then add them to my telephone book with the name "Spam" and indicate "No Ringer" so they do not disturb me.  This is a total scam.  I don't mind them calling me as I will not answer and I am wasting their time.

called Apr.13/2012 at 12:26 AM. Messaged tell me report to FBI if someone breaking my house with no charge.....I cutoff phone.

Called 4-10-2012 @ 14:32, left no message on working recorder.  From reading previous posts, I regret not being here to waste their time.

Just got this call, it tried to scare me into letting them put a sign in my yard and get a free security system.  I pressed 1 and was transferred to Val who represented GE Security.  I told them I was on Do Not Call and was going to file a complaint.  She hung up.  Tried to redial but they have a block on.

The usual - 1-212-888-3150

I didn't say anything when I picked up the receiver; it seems to only connect to the scammers if you say something (audio-trigger).

Keep getting call from 212-888-3150 they leave no voice mail and when I called back because I have relatives in NYC it is not a working number.  Is this my phone carrier trying to burn off my pre-paid phone minutes.  I have gotten a ton of these calls from various phone numbers that are using up my prepaid minutes.  I have T-Mobile and have blocked most of the non-family numbers, but the callers keep reinventing new numbers.  My phone number is also listed on the DO NOT CALL registry, which doesn't seem to matter.

Free security system if you let them put a sign in your yard.  Supposedly allows you to press #9 to be removed from their call list.  Funny how they never gave you the name of their company.  I'm on the Do Not Call List for what it's worth because it hasn't worked at all.
