Same as above.  They call all the time and never leave a message.  If I pick up, there's nobody on the other end.  If I call back, there's a long silence then a busy signal.

I found this same information when I did reverse look-up for the Caller ID number that keeps calling our phone.

The Met sounds right to me as well.  I've gotten about 5-6 calls with the same results since January.  Extremely annoying.

the Metropolitan Opera House sounds correct. I got frequent calls from them for donations, and also one from this number. seems to make sense.

No. appeared on my cell phone today (Thurs., 1/24/08), first time.  No message left.  Has anyone tried calling the number?

I am receiving calls(hang-ups) from this number on my cell phone while I'm at work and when I call back there is always a busy signal.

seem to have come to a consensus that this number may be a telemarketing number belonging to the Metropolitan Opera House.

Have also been getting calls from here almost every other day, for the last three weeks. No message left. Wasn't sure until reading these posts, but yes, I too purchased tickets to the Met Opera for my parents as a Christmas gift. When returning the call, all I get is a busy signal. Today I flipped the phone opened and listened and heard a woman's voice say: "They wouldn't want to sit over there during intermission." This in fact makes me sure it's Lincoln Center/Met. Time to remove my number from their list.

I traced this on White Pages to Global Crossing Local Services, which is a part of Global Crossing Telemanagement, Inc.  I went to their website and can't figure out what they do (IP solutions), but it might be telemarketing.  Definitely not a collection agency.

I don't like the "tenor" of these calls from the Met. HAHAHAHA! Get it?? I'm so funny.

Wow. I'm so glad I googled this number.  I received a missed call last night and no message.  I keep trying to call back the number and I get a busy signal.  I got worried someone was trying to prank me.  I guess it must the Met.  I bought tickets for April and they keep sending me stuff in the mail.  I didnt think they would ever call.

Repeated calls, did not say a word when I picked up. I also bought tickets at the MET.

They called me again today, so I picked up and got a live person--he was from the Met. I complained to him that I had received multiple hang-up calls from the number in the past few days and had found out on line that many other people were frustrated with the same. He said they are having a problem with multiple operations doing sales calls (?) but that he would take my number off the list. We'll see.
Oh, and the calls are to solicit donations.

I also got calls from this number, and another unknown "212." When I called the other number back, I got the Met. I am a Met subscriber, so this all makes sense now.

I just got tix to a show at the Met Opera yesterday and got the call today.
