Everything has gone very quiet at GDS towers, then again there is very little to talk about given the reduction in summits and the focus on MeetTheLossTV.  Given how the business was pulled apart over the last year they need some stability and focus on improving the business model. Hopefully they did enough to save the business.

I wrote that in jest but it looks like it has some truth in it! Feel for the people who have done a good job in difficult circumstances being treated with no respect.

I was lied to before I joined GDS, when I arrived I then discovered the hole we were in.

The team started to pull us out of the hole despite the fact we were fighting against Spencer and his odd behavior.

The business was a total mess and an awful environment.

No values, cr*p products and Mr Green is a nasty piece of work.

Well, he started off well by giving a balanced opinion that cosidered both sides.  Then it tailed off a bit when he hauled out the tired auld 'bitter 'n' twisted ex-employees' schtick.

He then concludes a post full of spelling and grammar errors by criticising the English of others.  I don't personally care, but his post was a struggle to read.

Why don't people move on? They want to pass the message on to others that GDS is not a professionally run organisation. Many people have been duped into working at GDS  by them giving the impression that the organisation is more legitimate than it is.

In the early 2000's, the product was worthless. Ads on websites/magazines that no-one saw, costing tens of thousands. Relentless bullying of organisations that had made it clear that they weren't interested.

To cap it all, GDS targeted graduates who would be better off doing something else. They advertised heavily at Bath uni, and put up Investors in People plaques even though they have never been affiliated. They have no HR department, and their practiced HR policy is far short of the requirement for IIP membership.

If those who have been stung wish to warn others, that is their prerogative. Being a marketable employee is a business in itself, and allowing an outfit like GDS to affect one's employability is a grave mistake.

This is part of a bigger picture. Whilst the Government places an increasing burden on those looking for work to contribute in a positive way to the wider economy, the same burden is not being placed on 'employers' like Spencer.

He has created little value in this economy, and by taking the profits of legitimate emlpoyers, it would be better if GDS never existed.

All I ask is that people make an informed decision about GDS. Beyond that, the choice is theirs. As to whether there are other companies like GDS, of course there are.

I have lifted the lid on plenty of them.

I wonder why people from GDS like to insult people commenting on 800 notes?

Insecure, taking the attention off GDS business practices, not mature enough to handle the criticism, can't accept that others have a different opinion?

I have worked at GDS for 4 and half years and in that time have worked in 3 continents. I have traveled and experienced more countries than i can remember (25-30 maybe). Have earned very good money. Have met some of my best friends, who will be for life. I'm now in a position where i'm buying my first house.

There are genuinely good people here that just want to earn a living and have a good time doing it. Yes there are a****oles here..... show me a company that doesn't. Yes the CEO/Chairman is egotistical and gives more attention to those that are earning him money (even though there may be other people in the company who are excelling and allowing the top earners to sell based on the things they do). Is that right no. Is it uncommon, no. Does he make poor decisions. Yes. Is that uncommon, no. He tried to grow the company to quickly, and is now trying to save it. But he has always paid me well and allowed me to travel the world. Our summits are maybe not market leading (at one point they were up there) but they are above average.

The whole connotation that we sit at our desks doing cocaine is simply not true and the myth that everyone is a drug crazed lunatic is a complete exaggeration. Once again, go into any company and you will find people that do drugs. Drugs are a world problem not a GDS problem.

Some of my best friends at GDS have families and are good intelligent people. GDS is their way of supporting them. The fact that ex employees who didn't fit in with the culture and made the decision (or were asked) to leave, spend time hoping, wishing, waiting and actually going online to ensure that GDS fail have a serious problem. Its really sad that you want all the people that work here to be without jobs. In that maybe lye's the reason you no longer work here. Every one person that has left the company and blogged on here, there are 10 that had the same fate and said 'oh well that didn't work', got another job and moved on with there life.  Due to these reasons it is clear that you are just bitter ex employees and are certain breed of person. Everyone in life has bad experiences the worst thing you can do is dwell on them, and if you think the companies you now work for didn't cut corners at some point, you are sadly mistaken (this isn't the case for every company but is not uncommon). Just look up patent infringement, company spies, corrupt CEO. You will have plenty of light reading and maybe you can join some more blogs and comment on things that don't effect your life.

All in all the point is you worked for a company, it didn't work out. You posts all clearly state you are all so happy now in your new jobs and are so successful, so move on and enjoy your life and stop trying to bad mouth and encourage the demise of the company i work for and my colleagues who i am more than proud to say are my friends.

In addition please don't say why are you blogging on here then, this is my first and last post. Also please also don't reply with spelling/grammar mistakes (it just makes you look like a knob)

So i have checked out the T&C's and in my opinion the posts were fair comment. We all know Spencer gets very angry about people highlighting his business  practices and is probably on to 800 notes all the time. It is also important that people read the truth about GDS.

You might want to read the TOS. Shilling isn't tolerated, neither are vulgar posts. Trolls are not tolerated either.  Just to mention a few of the reasons they can removed, edited or flagged with a bright shiny red suspect or busted stamp. Depends on the content.
