THEY ARE FLIPPING RELENTLESSS!!! make it stop!!
They call 100x a week asking when each and every person's lease is up.. uhhh are they even allowed to do that? That's pretty classified info between a landlord/tenant. Every time I say the person isn't available (which is what i ALWAYS say because they ALWAYS decline the call) they want me to page the office to find them.. say what? I don't think so. No one is going to drop what their doing to give out private into to a marketing survey company. Get a grip!!

Just have a little fun with it, answer the call, *but don't say anything", after a while it becomes fun! or pretend you can't hear them, "hello', "hello", there's all kind of mischief you can get into, be creative! (;-)

I used to work here. It's not the caller's fault, the managers tell us to call back even when someone has requested we not. We'll ask for different people/listen for new employees to get the info. Call back and scream at Mike or Brian the two managers that throw their employees into these situations. We are asked to lie to and pretend that we are looking to buy/rent the properties. Reis is a horrible company

I see that a lot of people are arguing whether it's a scam or not.... but I frankly don't care if they are a trillion dollar company who offers reports and blah blah. All I care about is that they call too often and are very rude.
The name they have for our company is never in the office and partially retired so they are wasting their time, but I never tell them that because they hang up before I finish stating "he's not available can I or someone else assist you"
If we do not subscribe to your reports, stop calling us for information. I do not *have* to give you anything!

Male caller called without introducing himself and firing off questions. I dont answer random questions until I know who I am talking too. He got frustrated and hung up.

Not interested. Keep calling daily.

Glad I found out what their deal is. I had saved their number with a "mute" ringtone, so I never have to deal with them again, but they left an empty message every day for a week anyway. I hope they cross me off their list now.

Far from a scam. They conduct market research and have emerged as an industry leader over the last years. Anyone who knows the real estate industry is well aware of what REIS does and uses their analysis of the industry to get a heads up on future trends. Where do you think the Wall Street Journal goes to get information about the real estate industry? And to get that information, REIS has to conduct surveys. I happen to know because I read the Wall Street Journal every morning and happen to be a commercial broker.
Bradley 2012-02-25 04:16:35 Unknown
Very interesting to read this considering I've been in the real estate industry for years and REIS has emerged as one of the industry leaders in real estate information. How else do you think that statistics and trends that you read about in the news papers and journals are calculated? Surveys need to be conducted. I can tell that alot of people that end up on this website know vey little about the real estate market and it scares me that many of you seem to work, in some capacity, with real estate companies. Its a shame.

err, maybe he meant reis.com and you misunderstood?
teacher- 2011-10-26 20:18:34 Unknown
We don't care how much you like them.... they don't understand NO and it isn't that hard.
Re-read this to see how ignorant you appear------ There are many scam companies out there, but they obviously aren't one of them. If you choose not to take survey, that's your perogative, but don't go on the internet calling people/companies scammers. It's just ignorant.
Who is ignorant if they can't understand or respect the answer NO? Their net worth isn't of interest, either. Doesn't make them right.
Guess you should be called Materialistic Girl, Jen.
You're an ignorant a***ole. 2011-10-26 19:29:36 Unknown
You're an idiot. I stuck up for the company because I (Jen) am an investor that subscribes to their monthly reports. So does Capitol One, companies on Wall Street, Starbucks, and many other major retailers. Their net worth is probably over $20,000,000., so yes, I'm sure that their parents are actually very proud of them. If you are a peson that willingly gives your information to them, then it's not a scam. And, they have given me free market reports that are worth $250 in exchange for taking a survey...There are many scam companies out there, but they obviously aren't one of them. If you choose not to take survey, that's your perogative, but don't go on the internet calling people/companies scammers. It's just ignorant.
Jen is a scammer 2011-10-20 18:17:05 Unknown
Let's see, getting you to answer questions for free then selling your answers to their paid customers isn't a SCAM?
LOL. What a crappy way to make a living, your parents must be so proud!
Ever get a loud whistle in your ear? Did you know it means STOP CALLING FOREVER? Call me, I'll demonstrate. It's my stock answer to all "surveys"! Duh indeed.
Jen 2011-10-20 18:14:14 Unknown
REIS is nothing more than a market research firm. It's not a scam, I subscribe to their reports. If you just pick up and do about a 1 min survey they won't call again for three months, because their information is based on quarterly reports. If you keep ignoring them, then they will try to call back. duh.
brad 2011-06-06 20:42:57 Unknown
The company is called REIS. They do phone surveys if you own apartments or commercial properties. Don't pick up, or they'll bother every day.

who called me from this number called me 3 times?
FunnyGuy 2011-06-06 20:42:57 Unknown
I called back and it was a place called REIS and I was able to have an operator remove my phone number. I have no idea from there if they sell the numbers we give to other spamers or not though as get 2 or 3 calls a week from different advertisement sometimes scams but usually companies just selling stuff that is perfectly legal but just annoying. So I just offered it up to God for a sick teenager I know and let the stuff annoy me. It helps though to say nonsense into the phone so they may think you are an oddball and not call back. I tried delivering a 1993 news broadcast today when someone called from a clearance house. I used to send goofy emails back as well for spam emails and then I learned they sell my email to other spammers and eventually my computer can get virus' so I stopped.
Ask for a manager to remove your number. 2011-06-06 20:42:57 Unknown
Just tell them to remove your number. They don't stop calling as long as you have a voicemail.

Arianna from REIS was very polite and professional. Asked a dozen questions about a listing we have on a commercial office building. Took 1 minute and we were done.

I have not had any rudeness from the girl who has called (about 3 times since Dec.), but she asks to speak to our VP (but asks by name, and mispronounces it!) So there is my first red flag, bc he is NEVER in the office and would give an important caller his cell number, AND they would know how to pronounce his last name.... She never agrees to leave a message, but proceedure still stays the same and I'm not going to patch her through or relay a message without knowing who's calling and why! stupid girl.
Receptionist 2011-03-21 14:55:31 Unknown
Caller "Ebony" was chewing gum the entire time in my ear, asking to speak to the person in charge of the vacant space in our building. I took her number and told her someone would call her back. She gave me the number 212-9211122 x 245. Anyone bored - feel free to call and smack gum in her ear all day for me! Thanks!

Called in regards to a commercial space for rent on the first floor of my downtown property. Was very rude, refused to listen, and would not identify himself by name or company. I called back and left a message for Mike (according to his voice mail anyways) asking to be removed from the solicitation list and asking for a call back in response to the rudeness of their associate. I am guessing neither will happen.

This number calls back to back once to twice a month looking for the owner of the retail space my compnay is located in. Calls once from the 212.921.1122 number & I tell them I cannot help them, they call right back, same person, from a blocked call number. I hang up as soon as I hear his voice.
Greg 2010-05-28 14:18:22 Unknown
No one on the other end. I hung up. Just another company illegally phishing whos management should all be locked up.
Tucson 2010-04-14 20:21:40 Unknown
Yes, he was very rude, when asking for info, I said, excuse me where are you calling from again, he said lease.com and he said it like I should know. He was so rude, then questioned my numbers, and authority I DONT THINK SO!
furby 2009-11-07 20:38:25 Unknown
That's because they are pushing for certain information on specific pieces of information. If they call again, ask for their manager. It's really not the caller's fault, it's the manager.
Furby 2009-11-07 20:32:57 Survey
They call constantly. Ask a bunch of questions and are offended when we say we don't participate. I found that calling and saying to them, "if you call me again, I will sue," seems to keep them at bay. They call quarterly, and some of them are friendly, yet some of them are very rude. One guy who calls ever so often, sounds like an ADD patient. Speaks a mile a minute and I've hung up on him many times. I have a few properties and have told them I only use CoStar. I hope REIS goes down the toilet.

This company should be reported to donotcall.gov. They never stop calling our apartment complex. Even after you give them the info they want, they'll wait a month and start calling again.
