a guy called "Jim" ask for donation from PCNY. Just call 311, there's no such organization listed... it's a scam.. be careful..

Jack Morgan has called multiple times over the past few weeks, claiming to represent NYPD.  Asked him to email me information, he said he could only fax it.  Faxed info consisted of decades-old letters of recommendation. Very, very shady.  When I called back, the person answering the phone did not announce themselves or a company.  Shady McNasty.

just paid 100 bucks for a badge guys name was Carmine Passareli, had some shady looking guy come to my office for the $$$. Badge looks fake....just got scrwed...stay away from them

My receptionist fielded a call from this number from an Edward Bailey. This is a scam they call me every year. Don't antagonize them, simply hang up.

got a call today from Tony at this nos - 212-937-4994 asking for NYPD donation badges available for 1850, 2500 and 1500.. after reading this i realize it is a scam

Had a voicemail to call Mike Farley at 212-937-4994 with no mention of what call was about. He won't be hearing from me by just leaving a name & number.

This is an orrganization that calls on behalf of the PCNY..just tell them you are not interested. They are legit

just got the call , very pushy guy. was angry when i told him i was broke, not sure this is legit

Received a call from an "unknown" number - the caller left a vmail identifying himself as "Bill Murray" and asked me to call him back at 212-937-4994

I just got a voice mail from Frank Gonzales asking me for a call back at 212-937-4994.  I don't answer unless I know who it is anyway.

I got a call today 5/17 from "Frank Gonzalez" from an "unknown number." He said he was looking for me and left a phone number 212-937 but then hung up...This caller didn't state the reason for his call.  I was suspicious and am thankful for the above posts which confirmed my suspicions that he was a scammer.

Received a call today 5/17/11 from "Frank Gonzalez" Phone number 212-937-4994 told him I couldn't talk but would call him back he gave me the above number but the call doesn't go through.  After reading this I gather it's a scam.  Thanks for all your feed back

?Tony? call me twice on my cell phone, first time was busy didn?t pick up so he left the (212 937 4994) number. The second time was a block number and I pick up. ?Tony? gave me the same story about a police badge and from a thousand dollar donation I brought him down to two hundred and ask him to mail me the information. Let?s see what happens.

I received a call from a Frank Gonzalez saying he was from the police conference of NY.  I interrupted him before he even got started since I thought he was going to ask for a donation.  I certainly would not donate to any organization over the phone unless I contacted them to first.  Why would anyone give information to a complete stranger calling from who knows where.

received a call on my cell (blocked caller ID) from aJohn Morano (with a heavy brooklyn/italian accent) calling on behalf of the Police Conference of NY.

Looking for donation, promised badges and decals in return, asked for mailing address and phone number in case I wanted to donate. he gave 112 State Street, Suite 1120, Albany, NY. he was unsure about the zip code and had to look it up! On the other hand the call back number he have was 212-937-4994 which is in manhattan.

Website search came up with pcny.org - which is dead and goes to nothing.

Fishy from beginning to end. Sounded like a complete scam.

Received a call from David Friedman on 12-8-2009.

Received a call from this number and 9143372392 (on separate days), both claimed to be a "David Friedman" to donate to the police and receive some police badges in return.  He has a deep firm voice, I guess he will need that when he is telling someone in prison how he likes his salad tossed.

Got a call from saying to donate to PCNY (police council of new york?)
their call back number is 212 937 4994. A 'Tony Macceti' was the name.

To donate over a thousand dollars to the police and I get police badges he says.

A person named Frank Delucca left a msg with this number without saying what the call was in reference too...
