This is the first of many numbers I've received calls from for over a month. this site and others give the same exact description for all of the numbers: Am Ex debt collection, leaves no message. Upon answering, I hear silence followed by a *click* after a few seconds. Hangs itself up within 30 seconds. Every time. Very freaky.

I haven't tried calling back any of the numbers BECAUSE I DON'T HAVE AN AM EX CARD AND NEVER HAVE. I don't have any outstanding debts, I DON'T EVEN HAVE A CREDIT LINE YET. WHY THIS HARASSMENT???

Got a call from this number in ATL, GA @ 2:59PM today, Tuesday, Aug 16th= NO voice mail message!

What gives with this ??

If you have an AmEx account, I recommend calling their official customer service number (probably listed on the back of your card or on their official website) before calling this number.

It's apparently American Express. I've been ignoring the number but finally answered it. The person was very rude, as per usual. Couldn't understand the name, Hussein something. Got nasty with me, so I got nasty with him. Told him he's in violation of the DNC list and American Express will be subjected to $9K in fines.

Called and left no message.
