What's the website about? The one in the text?
lane 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Cell phones are different than other phones. They want to limit the amount of data sent to keep costs down so they don't send caller ID info. The number has to be in your address book to come up in caller ID.

I didn't get anything in my caller ID, but the text did say it was from a girl named Anna.

I've been applying for so many jobs lately so I can work after graduation it could be about a hundred jobs but I got the text too.
nicholas 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
I'm pretty sure that I pay extra to get caller ID on my phone. Maybe if you don't pay for it you don't get it
damaged 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
I'm almost positive that cell phones don't have caller IDs. The number has to be in your phone.
brittany 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Has anyone gone to the website to see what kind of job it is?
Frances 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Got text. No caller ID but message was pretty clear. Said that if I was still interested in finding a job to visit their website. Prolly got my resume off of Monster.
Steph Padilla 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Don't that number need to be in your adress book for a caller ID to come threw on ur cell phone?
liberty 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown

SMS from absolutely nowhere.
nolan 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Yep, no Caller ID text.
Emily Neal 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
No, caller IDs are in the number programming. If it doesn't come up it's because there is none.

I have "bff" as the name of my best friend because I have like 10 kate's in my phone and every time she texts it says bff. So it's in the phone not the text.
magnificent 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
I got the text and went to the website. It's a job matching service that interviews you real quick to see what kind of job you're looking for and then sends you jobs in your area that you can go apply to!
poppy 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Here's what happened when I went to the site. I filled out two pages of information and was given a phone number to call. When they answered the guy confirmed the information I typed in was correct and then asked me some questions about the types of jobs I wanted. Then he said they'd start sending me updates with jobs in my area that meet those requirements. I was given the option of how often I wanted those updates and i said daily. When I got the jobs a few I'd knew already, and a few I didn't. I followed the link and applied for them. Does that answer everyone's questions?
nelson 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
yea it did
Nancy 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown

quentin 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Thank you for posting that.
jeff 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Mystery solved I guess.
martinez 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
But what job did you apply to that got you the text?
joe schmoe 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Everyone answered my questions well. They texted me saying something like: "my name is Anne. I have a job the matches your description; go on Jobnab.com and sign up and we can discuss it further." this seemed fishy to me because she didn't give a last name, job title, or what kind of job it was. And who the heck sends a job lead through text message? Judging by the answers I just read, it sounded like they just wanted to get me to sign up for a website. I think that is just wrong. It is deceitful and makes those who are desperate for jobs get their hopes up. It takes advantage of people in a vulnerable time in their lives. Whoever does this should be absolutely ashamed of themselves.
JJMM 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
they just want you to give them all your info. Address, full name, resume, stuff like that.
Martha 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
This number texted me saying "Hi Martha, based on your resume you match a job I'm filling. If you register at jobnab.com we can discuss the details if you're interested." This must be a scam. I don't know how they could have gotten my number. To begin with, it's not professional to send text messages. Employers will call and not send a text. Anyways hope this helps somebody else.
JAne 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
Just got the same text message" Based on your resume you match a job....". Totally ignored. I bet they found me on monster or some other major job sites.
Jeffrey Alvarez 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
I rec'd a text message from this number about a job. Appears to be linked to Jabnab.com. From the looks of things this appears to be a scam of some sort.
JannieGirl 2011-06-06 20:42:58 Unknown
I just rec'd the same exact txt msg ... Hi, based on your resume, etc, etc, etc; have no idea who or what they are so I politely txtd back; "before I go online to check this out, plz advise who you are, what you are & want do you want; or what type of job you may be offering"...guess what, haven't heard a word, wonder why???
You all have the same right idea....do not respond to phone # 2132003971...possibly could be very dangerous! Be safe everyone.
