I also got a phone message for "city employees" instructing me to call (213) 253-8139 and ask for the "Direct Federal Home Lender."  Special rates in the "5% range," and loans available with no money down.  My real estate agent AND my mortgate broker have told me that there are no longer federal loan programs to provide 100% of the loan.  Furthermore, my employer sent out an email to all city employees telling us that "the City has not secured such a program and it is probably a scam or a gimmick of some sort."  Watch out!

Recorded message was sent to numerous co-workers about low interest home loans. Recording was customized to refer to "city employees."

This is the third call received from this company. Prior calls were also received after hours on June 25 and July 19.

Note that this call was not FROM 213-253-8139. Rather, this is the phone number that callers were instructed to call for loan information.

Machine said it was a real estate loan company who could provide 10 day cashout refi's in the 5% range (poosible for an arm right now, but not a fixed). The machine had my employer name, so somehow they got that.
