First National Collection Agency keeps calling my house.  Show up on Caller ID as Los Angeles 213.261.0003  I called them back and told them I don't know who they are looking for and asked that they stop calling my home.  The person on the other end was polite and professional.  Hopefully the company will stop calling as she said they would.

Debt Collector. If you listen to the recording and act like you are the person they are calling for, you can get a live person and have them remove your number from their list. I stopped getting calls.

I'm getting repeated calls from this number to my cell phone, looking for a "megan williams."  I guessed that they were some kind of debt collection agency as well, but have never taken the time to listen through the recording.

Unbelievable! These guys keep look for Sam Markson. I told them there is no Sam here! They keep calling my bakery and I told them I have a big deadline cuz I have to make the wedding cake for the Smith's! They just don't get it that I'm against a deadline... I told them they can come down and bake the damn cakes if they don't stop getting in the way of my client's cakes and their calls! I have to get back to the oven now since I smell something burning!

they are junk debt collectors trying to collect on debts that have long been written off....they buy for pennies on the dollar and half try and get you to pay more than you actually owe

This # calls often, I feel this is harrassment. Never leaving messages, calling many times during the day.
How can they say they have been trying to contact you, without leaving a message?
and when we do answer the calls, they don't give who they are collecting for. Asking for my info to give to them.
If they truely are collecting an old debt they should have all of my information to begin with. I believe that
if they really want to collect a bad debt that we honestly owe, they should send a letter to our address, with there contact information, ALL the information of WHO they are collecting for and leave me alone.
I will NEVER do business on the phone again. This is harrassment! I agree with you Nae. Congratulations on your hard work for paying your debts. It's a long hard road, but well worth it.

Keep calling and not leaving message

They are debt collectors.  Even if the debt is uncollectible under your state law, that does not prevent someone from calling you forever to try to satisfy the debt.  There is nothing you can do about it, so long as their calls are within the legal framework.  The law should be different.  The only reason you would want to pay, at that stage, is to get them to stop.  Don't do it.  Don't get made.  You have to live with it or get some phone number that they, or a subsequent collector, will never find out about.  

Annoying you, getting you to pay, is the nature of their business.  Do not bother talking to them.  That will only encourage them.  I am serious about what I am saying.

Have received dozens of calls on my mobile phone from 213-261-0003, First National Collection Agency.  I called them and explained that I don't owe any debt to anyone.  They said I was someone who I've never heard of.  I asked them to delete me from their list because I'm not that person.  Calls continue.

Got a call today 11/5/10 @ 2:20pm.
i dont like to pick up calls from people i dont know unless i'm expecting a call from someone i dont have their number.

i was on the other line with my wife.  there was a 2 second voicemail.  sounded automated.
all i heard was 'press one' or something like that.  then the message stopped.

this about the 3rd time these guys call my cell in about 2 weeks time... its funny how as soon as i ran my credit report i start getting all of htese calls from people i owe money to, i ran it because i want to actually settle with ese people i owe money to and well this just goes to show how shady the credit reportin industry is, they probably gave away my info from credit report.com, its so lame, i am trying to make a good faith effort to pay this off instead of filing for BK and sure enough i get my info stolen and given away, no doubt our system and our country is not what our founding fathers intended it to be.

They call house everyday, multiple times. Sometimes 8am in the morning. At least now I know why.

Last week, the 213-261-0003 number called me. Didn't recognize the number, so I didn't pick up. They didn't leave a message. I looked it up on the internet and found you guys and read all your posts. They called me back later that same day. I know my debts, so I answered it. It was an automated voice for a debt collector looking for someone with my last name, but wrong first name. Said to press 2 if it wasn't me, 1 if it was. I pressed 2. They haven't called me since. Apparently, debt collectors don't have to abide by the Do Not Call registry when hunting down a legit debt, even if it doesn't belong to you.

I come home and see this all the time no message, I hope they read al our notes so they can see that we are not picking up their calls, I owe no monies to anyone but if who ever calls won't talk we can't hear them I just delete this number.

Just called my office number AGAIN...I didn't pick up & the only thing on voice mail was a hangup.

Please do not let this number call me anymore.
