Same thing - just getting hang-ups on voicemail and answering machine. This just started once I took over my father's affairs now that dementia has set in.
Its legal recovery loss, does anyone know if this is from a legit company
This is a collection agency specializing in RUDE & OBNOXIOUS phone collectors. They represent themselves as a "loss recovery" company for people that have lost money through stock brokerage firm investments. These guys couldn't find Wall Street with a map and are simply a collection agency hiding behind a fancy name and web site.

They have and use local area code phone numbers in the area of their victims to make you think it's a local call.
Whoever called left some kind of message, but began it before our voicemail announcement had finished, so all that was left of the message was "...Sales or Marketing", which sounds like the prolog to a collection call but it stopped at that point.
No identification in the caller ID, nothing to indicate who the caller was, their target or the reason for the call. Speaks volumes as to their competence and professionalism - or distinct lack thereof. Could even have been a wrong number - no way to tell.
Yeah, MagicJack makes it really easy for them to get a local number to areas they call alot. But after the call is over, simply save them as a contact and enter their name as "Do Not Answer" and you wont accidentally answer it if they call back. :-)
Keep call 3 times. I told them here don't have person they looking for and better stop keep calling.
I think this is collect agent.
This is Legal Recovery Law Offices, a collection agency that wants you to think that they are a law firm. They are alleged to have conducted scams where they file a claim for a default judgement with a court providing a ficticious address for the debtor. The debtor is therefor never aware of the proceedings until the court issues the default judgement and they have extracted the alleged amount of the debt, court costs and arbitrary interest charges from the debtor's account. This is illegal, but the debtor may have no money left to get a lawyer to recover the money they took. They are located in California where collection agencies are not regulated, but you still can file a complaint with the attorney general if they are involved with your debt.
they called here and on the caller id it looked like it said L.A. D.A !! scared me but the message was half of a message saying press one or two ...... i dont know who they are or what they want but they scare me !!
We had a call from this number today with an unusual caller ID: LSAN DA 01 CA
This might be some kind of error on the part of the phone company (in our case, RoadRunner VoIP through Time-Warner Cable) or it may be an attempt to spoof a different caller ID, which is now an offence.
Other calls showed correct IDs (i.e., were known callers, and the ID matched what we already know).
Not sure what to make of this behavior.
A related number used by the same caller is (213) 261-0003.
Yeah. I keep getting called by the number and they never leave a message! It's just so frustrating!!!
I got a call from this number 213-261-0019 around 12 p.m. noon, a recorded message say: "Are you Roger xxx ? if yes, key #1; if not, key #2". I keyed #2, the caller recording said "please wait, someone will be with you shortly". Some lady answered the phone, I said why I received this call and who are you; she said "this is a law firm". She said it was a mistake calling my number. Reading this string of other people receiving this number's calls, I assume it is the collection agency looking for someone who used to own my phone number (I just was assigned this phone number one week before by AT&T.
Here's the scoop. They are a collection agency disguised as a loss recovery firm for people that have lost investment money in the market.
