I received an email from this company Jeffrey Nillson and his return phone number was 213-261-7429 said he was with a company called Source Hold Corp. I am looking to change jobs and he said he reviewed my resume and I was just what they were looking for(I felt funny about this when I read his grammar and spelling). He contacted me later and now I know my gut feeling was correct.  What I needed to complete the application and a requirement for the job was the following home or mobile phone, regular banking account checking/savings account and or a verified Premier or business pay pal account.  REALLY??? I am broke not stupid and not broke enough to fall for a scam.  he gave a website which is conveniently not accessible according to google and bing.

UNKNOWN caller

I received a called today around 5pm from smith&davidson law firm..(Michael walker).stating that I owe money that I need to pay now or else....!!.. I told them not to be calling me at work, so I hung up.. He calls back.. And ask to speak to my manager which I new rite then that something wasn't right.. So I let him speak to my manager he told my manager thaT they were going to send someone over to pick me up.. Lol.. They kept on and on... They wanted to know his name and title (job) my manager told them why u need my info its not for me that u are looking..and he told him by law they can't be harassing people at work, if they really work for a attorney law firm he should know the LAW not to be harassing... Plus the law firm should mail something to ur house.. DON'T ever give ur info to anyone.. This guy is so unprofessional and he claims that he works for an attorney hahahahaha...  But I just can't make them STOP... Does anyone knows how????

Has anyone had a problem with him continuing to call?  This guy has not let up, he has called my cell phone &, home phone stating that this is extremely serious and he is now going to court.  He has used several different phone numbers & used blocking also.  My brother is a police officer & says that they are probably just still trying since I fell for it once but it is extremely nerve wracking since they have a copy of my license.  Just curious if they have continued bothering anyone else

they also called me . james barker fro smith and davidson. asked me if i had an attorney, i asked why he told me that i owed 300 and that with fees i owed 669 or some s***. i think these fruadulent arabs need to have there balls fried for stealing from us. they used the same numbers . i called them and i said that i reported it to the authorities, and that i also reported them to the local attorney general. lessons learned

1 no more online payday loans
2 if they speak arab , thay do not have american names.

I left a voice mail for "Mr. Parker" stating that if he did not return my call within an hour, I would stop payment & contact the authorities.  During that time is when I found this website & completely freaked out!  "Mr. Parker" has called me several times stating that this is a very serious matter now and that it will have to go to the court, blah, blah.  I have called my bank & cancelled my debit card info but I am still nervous about the fact that they have all of my info!  I called my brother who is a detective in another state & he told me to report the incident to : https://complaint.ic3.gov/
I would recommend that anyone that has been victim to this scam artist do the same.  My brother said that while it is unlikely, some of these scams are used to fund terrorist cells!!!!  I already have credit monitoring on my account but will obviously need to keep a close eye for a while.  I think I am also going to fill out a police report to have on record.

OMG!  This exact same thing happened to me last night and I was in a panic so I authorized them to make installement payments out of my account for almost $700!  Thank GOD I started looking into it today and came across this website.  I have notified my bank to not release any funds and cancel the debit account that I gave them but I am still freaking out because I sent them a copy of my license!  Shouldn't there be a way to stop these people?  Fraud or class action suit?   I am so worried about identity theft, they have everything!!!

I got a call today from that same b*****d james barker wit some bs bout the payday loan i ve never recieved stating he will be at my house tomorrow to pursure legal action on me for 3 counts of bank fraud he can come on the police will be waiting on him

I got a call from Jeff Davis and the number is 310-405-6493. When I told them I know this is a fraud they just hung up on me I just suggest getting a new number and just stick with the loans companies you go through directly because when you are looking for a lender they will sell your info and thats how they get all your information.

I just got the same call from somebody named James Barker (213) 261-7429.  He claims he's representing some payday loan company called Easy Cash.  This guy sounded extremely foreign.  He kept asking for my manager, but would not give me any information.  He got stupid when I told him that the call is being recorded.

I'm getting the same calls showing 916-395-0000 on my id but they leave a cb number of 310-405-6493.  Someone with the name "Eric Brown" left a message saying If I were 'filtering my calls, I would need an attorney, good luck as the situation unfolds', I called back and spoke with "MIchael Carter", then "Anna Jones" who hung up on me when I told her I was recording this call, knew they were using fake names, and had NOT taken out any payday loans!

they will stop but be ready for other calls from other indianswho claim to be another from different agencies.

Oh yeah and they are using these numbers and names. James Parker and Mike Nelson. 251-727-9987, 213-261-7430 and 323-606-9370(this one is supposedly Easy Cash)

My husband and I are being harassed by these Indians. They are threatening to come to my husbands job. They say they are from Smith and Davidson law group and are collecting a debt on behalf of Easy Cash. They hangup when you ask too many questions and they get loud and will hang up on you. It is very disturbing. How can we stop these people????

I have received the same kind of call from this James Barker stating the same law firm; Smith & Davidson Law Firm. Has also been calling where I work stating that the call is an 'emergency'. I called the number back and he tells me that I owe a payday loan to Easy Cash which I never applied for and told that I had 3 courts against me also. He states that Easy Cash has written the money off but are proceeding with court action anyway. When I asked him any question he would not answer. He has a foreign accent and is hard to understand. I told him that it was a scam and to mail me the information so I can take it to my attorney if it exists and hung up on him. He called back on my cell phone and left a message which I kept. I am going to turn the number over to the local authorities here, give them the message, and report him. Hope this helps someone else.

This guy first called me on my payday and said my account was locked after trying to take out 500.00, I did not take out any loans,  luckily my bank warned me about these Indians! They continue to call my job and now they are calling my husbands job. The only thing that seems to work is tell them you are recording the call. They hang up. They refuse to give there address. I just can't get them to stop calling my job? Somebody please help me!!!!

This is in reference to above but the call came from 904-410-9960. Same name and law firm. I also was told there were 3 counts against me. I asked with whom and he gives me a name that I never heard of. Then rambles on with more names under this name. He said Easy Cash. When I questioned him further he wanted to speak to my Manager because he was not getting anywhere with me.
He referenced himself as an attorney. I stated since this was about me, then tell me what he thinks I owe. My business partner got on the phone with him and this, James Parker or Barker (can't understand him) started getting rude, insulting and using vulgar language. I don't think any lawyer with a law firm speaks like this. He finally hung up.
I have gotten loans on-line so I know where they are getting the info from. My loans had always been paid in full so this guy is a scam. You would think with all the complaints this would stop.

I stated to him i did not have a checking account at that time. He said he was calling from smith and davidson and that if i didnt pay he would process in the court of law tomorrow.I told him he could i have a husband in the united states military and he could have this track. I wanted info and he refused to give me any. he kept yelling and hanging up on me. So anyone getting phone called from this number be careful not to give out any info.

How interesting cause the same guy just called me and i've been looking up all sorts of info on this number. He told me the same thing about  the payday loan thing and that he was with Smith and Davidson Lawfirm ( Which I see you have Smit and Davidson Lawfirm, it was so hard for me to understand anything he said so I'm not sure if was Smit or Smith, but any how its the same person) and they were going to process this tomorrow in the court of law. I have a Assoc. in Law Enforcement and I was quick to tell him where to go. They have been calling me from all sorts of numbers. With us being from Wyoming I told him how our state deals with unpaid debt and it wasn't through him. But heres the kicker, we never was accepted or did recieve a payday loan. We don't have a checking account. So we got denied and we applied for three different ones and I told these idiots that and still they proceede to call and harrass me, it wont stop. I even told them they were not lagite and I thought it was a scham and to send something in the mail to me. But no I haven't got anything, I traced the number to Los Angels Ca.

I RECEIVED A CALL AT MY WORK, HE TOLD ME HIS NAME IS JAMES BARKER (HIGHLY UNLIKELY BECAUSE HE WAS EXTREMELY FOREIGN) AND THAT IT WAS ABOUT A PAYDAY LOAN THAT I NEVER PAYED ON. THE LOAN WAS FOR 250 BUT I KNOW OWE ALMOST 800 AND IF I DID NOT WANT TO SETTLE IT THEN THEY WERE GOING TO GET ME ON THREE COUNTS OF BANK FRAUD. HE THEN WANTED ME TO FAX OVER ALL MY INFO INCLUDING MY DEBIT CARD NUMBER-RED FLAGS THERE. I CALLED AN ATTORNEY AND HE TOLD ME TO NOT GIVE HIM ANY OF MY INFO, THE NEXT TIME THIS GUY TRIES TO CALL ME TO TELL HIM THAT UNDER THE FAIR COLLECTIONS ACT HE IS TO MAIL ME ALL INFORMATION AND THAT HE CANNOT PROCESS ME FOR BANK FRAUD AND TO REST EASY. HOPE THIS HELPS, AND NEVER GIVE THEM ANY INFO OVER THE PHONE, EMAIL, OR FAX.
