these people call everyday, asking for wife, when ask who is, no reply, I have told them many times not to call,with no luck

Most of the time it's harvesters seeing if the have a working number... If you pick up they hang up and know they can sell your number.

We receive a call from this number periodically. They are trying to sell computer protection. They are adiment about my computer having a virus and will continually call back. Their service preys on people who do not understand the basics of virus protection. This last time they said that a computer that I have not booted up in almost  a year is sending them error reports. When I informed them that the computer they were talking about wasn't active and asked for more information, they hung up on me.

The number begins with a 2, so it was blocked :).  Reported to nomorobo anyways.

TouchTone was on ID. Left no message. Called back a few minutes later and heard  recorded message that 'number is no longer in service.'

Who is this and why do they keep calling this number?

This number has called me twice within the last few days

he mentioned his name was jim wheylan... asked for me directly.  i asked who he was.  this is a line that isn't used.  so i know it was a telemarketer.  he hung up when i asked him who he was.

Caller did not leave message.  Did not recognize number and caller ID showed "Touchtone".  Do not return calls to unknown numbers.

My spouse has been receiving calls from 213-271-9210 for quite some time. This time this number identified themselves as a Pro Life Organization. Now we know.

This may be the business number 800-266-4006.  This company is called Touch Tone, and advertizes all manner of phone services from voip to call centers, though it seems to have east coast hours.

I get a call from this number a couple of times a day for the past month.  I sometimes answer, but there isn't anyone on the other side.  No voice mail is left when I let it go to v-mail.  I tried calling back, but a non-working number.  I am blocking the number now.  

I am receiving calls from this number two or three times a week. Caller ID says "Touchtone." I do not answer, and no message has been left.

This number has been calling my home phone for a while now. They have never left any message and I haven't answered yet - however while looking at the information that Comcast.com provides for voicemail and such, the entry for this call was different!

Looking back for this other number, it might belong to Scott Johnson or John C Wilson.

I typically file with donotcall.gov on all questionable calls (like this). I also filed the l-o-n-g complaint form with http://www.fcc.gov/complaints for spoofing their caller id information.

called 3 times this week,;ast call, he used my name. When I asked who was calling,he said my name again,I hung up.

I have gotten these phone calls like 3 times in the past week.  But no one says anything and it comes up unavailable on my phone..

Caller ID reads as  Coll Rep...... No 1 ever leaves a message, just hangs up.  Calls are unsolicited from my house.  Want them to stop these annoying & worthless calls

After I said Hello, a male voice asked for Susan. I said she was not available. Oh, is this her husband?  I answered to the affirmative and asked who he was and how can I help?  He said he would call back later and when I pushed as to who he was, he hung up on me.  Like the other posters, when I tried to return the call, a recording said the number was disconnected. Can someone explain what possible economic reason could there be behind telemarketers calling and hanging up?  

Does anybody know who calls from this telephone number?   I receive calls from this number several times a day it has a ID of touch tone not sure what it is.                                                                            

You can download the Mr. Number free application and block the number from your phone. They said they have papers to serve me. They do not leave any other information. It is a machine recording and the phone that goes through caller ID does not work. SPAM, definitely to see if they can threaten you into sending money. They seem to be from Irving, California.

annoying robocall

I get 3 -4 calls EVERY day from this number. I am in California. I have never answered. I am on the Do Not Call list. I am also a Verizon customer for my land line as well as cell. Several others have stated they are as well. Sounds like perhaps Verizon has been hacked. I will be calling them ASAP.
