I just received a call from this number.  Heavy accent (maybe Middle Eastern or Russian).  Asked if I was "Jeffrey S.>>>>" (he stumbled over my last name.  I said "yes" and he hung up.

Lots of background noise in the call.

some guy with Indian accent called.  Said he was with US bank.  I needed to sign some paperwork.  He said can you transfer me I said no you can not be calling businesses asking for someone.  Hung up

I keep getting  these  calls  sometimes it is a spanish recording  that hangs up when done other times its just a dead call that just hangs  up

Called a busy college (in Oregon), asked for an employee by name.  I asked, "Is this a sales call?".  And the heavily accented man said, "No, it's UPS and I have a delivery for her."  I transferred it (STUPID me!).  Her assistant picked up, and again asked if it was a sales call, and he eventually got flustered and hung up.  Sounds like a call center in the background.  And when I called the number back to check, the recorded voice said it wasn't available (of course!) and that the voicemail was full.  I will now always offer to take a message - that seems to be what makes them give up.  Soooo pathetic!

We are in Denver too and he asked the same questions! He got very frustrated when I wouldn't quote him over the phone.

I got a call from this number, heavy Indian accent. We are a Med Spa in CO and he was asking about prices for his "wife". He repeated everything I would say back to me and got kind of mad when I wouldn't give him an exact quote over the phone. Very weird conversation!

Recieved a call to my Medical Aesthetics practice main number and stated his wife was very interested in Botox and wanted to know how much we charged per unit - then asked if we offered tattoo removal services. Same very thick Indian accent. We are in Denver. Bizarre.

6/9/2014  Some guy with thick Indian accent calling for someone no longer working at our business.   He was shady. I grilled him, he hung up.    213-285-0943

Did the same to me this morning. Very rude, heavy accent, alot of background noise. My voice echoed when I spoke to him. Told me he was from New World Construction Company. I hung up on him several times, and he called a total of 6 times this morning, cursing at me. My boss (whom he asked for by first name) was not impressed.

We keep getting calls from this guy.  He usually asks for people not in our location and if someone doesn't work here anymore he doesn't believe me.  When I ask him why he keeps calling here he denies calling here before.  I see the number pop up on the screen so I may just not answer for that number anymore.  Today he did call and asked for someone who works in my location and all he said to the guy is "Hi, how are you?" and hung up.

ditto. knew my biz name but not the address, said he was from FedEx and had a package to deliver. I told him it was a bad connection (it was) and I couldn't understand him, told him to call back on another line or have someone else from FedEx call. he said, "okay, okay" and we disconnected. haven't heard back.

Just got a call from this number. Guy with an accent asked simply stated my name and when I confirmed he hung up. Very weird.

Just received a call from this number. Very similar to what others have reported. He called my direct line at work - which I don't often give out - and asked for me by name. He had an accent and the connection seemed pretty bad with lots of crackles, though I could hear other voices in the background.  He said he was from FedEx and needed my address to deliver a package to me.  I pointed out that packages aren't shipped without addresses, and asked for more information. He said it was from Bank of America but every time I asked for specific details about ship date, shipping address, how he came to have a package with my name and work number but no address, etc, he'd say, "Can you hear me? Are you still there?" I responded, "Yes I'm still here and I'm still not giving my address out to some stranger with a story that makes no sense." And that's when he hung up.

Got a call - just verified first name, last name and hung up.
Strange....not sure if this this some form of identify theft.

I got a call from the same number (213-285-0943) yesterday and after I greeted the call, the man (with a slight indian accent) verified to be sure he was talking to me and hung up immediately...  I tried to call the number back but only a recording to say... the voice mail box of this account is full please try leaving a message later

Update: they just called back!  I knew they wouldn't remove us.  I didn't answer.

A woman with an Indian accent called asking for someone who doesn't work here and then wanted me to check my global directory.  I asked where she was calling from: "Bank of America." And what is this regarding?  "This is a phone call for XX."  During this time I googled the # and found this thread. I asked to please be removed from their phone list.  Any bank that has legitimate business with someone should have their actual phone #, I am sure this a scam of some variety. I expect to hear from this # again because they never actually remove you from the call list in my experience.

Received a call on my work number from a man who asked me my full name. I said yes and he hung up. I'm a little troubled seeing all the posts above.

We keep getting phone calls from a heavy accent man/woman they say the persons name and then hang up....they have done this several times.  I'm sure it's a scam

Got a call from a man with an accent (possibly from Inida). He said my last name wrong. I corrected it, then he hung up.

Just got a call from this number at work. He asked, "Is this...?" I said, "Yes." and he hung up. Tried to redial and got a message saying that the party I was trying to reseach was unavailable.

Had two phone calls today from this number, saying that they wanted an employee of ours to take the call.  Saying that they had medical information from Dr. John Smith of a California Health Care System.  I asked him to verify what address and then he hung up.  Very suspicious.  Heavy middle eastern accent

Same here - call came in through the University President's office. They said they were from UPS and were looking for me. The call was transferred and the heavily accented male called me by name. Then he hung up. Creepy.

Received a call from this number today asking for one of our employees.Caller was male with a thick accent  When I asked for his name and nature of the call.. He said he was calling from the US Bank and it was regarding documents. I placed him on hold and he promptly disconnected

I answered the phone saying "Hello this is Mike" and then he confirmed by asking "Mike (lastname)" and I said yes.  He said thank you and hung up

Called for someone who doesn't work here, asked me to check global directory.  I asked where are they from, he said FEDEX.  I repeated that person doesn't work here and hung up.  I actually deal with FEDEX a lot in my job and know this is not a person from FEDEX.  So sick of these calls.

Just got a call form this number. Asked to confirm my name and was saying "You have a package from UPS" and "You are doing a great job". Also wanted to know "where am I from". Sounded very weird, definitely its a scam. Some investigation should be done for this number and person.

I got a call from this number today from a forgien guy with a heavy accent asking strange questions about our practice. He didn't ask me any personal questions...it was just strange and you could tell that it was scripted. Not sure what is going on. We got finished with the convo and he said he was going to call back in five minutes. I tried to call the number back and it was a recording.....very weird.
