I got a cal from a man from india telling me i have been selected for a free trip and shopping spree. He had a lot of personal information of mine including my checking account routing number and was very agressive to get my account number. it seemed fishy to me so i told him i was not interested. would not take no for an answer so i told him thanks but im not interested. he kept calling and left a message cussing me out and said some perverse stuff. i tried calling back and only got a busy signal.

Got a 9-14-07 call from Morris, then Ebinex a Valley Village, CA debt relief business, called 9-17-07. Ebinex bought the lead from American Communications 818-430-2437. See also amcommmarketing.com. Of course Am Comm doesn't place an address on their website, guess they don't want to make it too easy for my process server to find them!! Then Shaun from India aka ICS Loans called re mortgage re-fis on 9-19-07, but refused to provide ICS' address and phone # after he figured he'd just called a DNC #.

This guy called to tell me he was from Global International something or other and that I had won 2.5 million dollars! I told him to bring it right over and I would give him a big hug and a kiss! This is the 3rd call I have gotten this week from someone promising me money, but when I tell them I won't give them any personal information until I see the cash, they tell me they are cancelling the check........ Oh well!

Called me on 10/15 and did not leave a message- then i found all these postings.  Thanks for writing these up here so I knew what this was.

Guy from "Tech Services" hung up second night in a row.  Who are these idiois?

Constantly get called from "on-line-pharmacy" and when I say constantly, how about two to four times daily for the last several years.  Obviously from India.  Calls often come from other numbers or say "out of area"

Has anyone had success getting these people shut down?

received a call from the same number yesterday 11/05/07 and today 11/06/07.
answered the call today.  caller said he was calling from Bank of America,
he was calling about my property, and then offered to reduce my monthly mortgage.
he spoke in broken English with a heavy accent.
the Caller Id displayed Maximus.

i called the number back to get a supervisor to telll them to stop calling me, but the number does not take incoming calls.

Received this number on my cell phone, when I answered it was "dead air". I tried to call back and the call won't even go through it just drops automatically.

I get these Maximus calls all the time. I am going to write a letter to the California Secretary of State about it when I get a minute.

We are on every "do not call" list known to man, and these calls really bug me.

Lately we seem to get one every few days.

I got a call from this number. My caller ID said “MAXIMUS”. When I answered, there was no one on the other end. In a few seconds a recording said “Goodbye”. When I called the number back, I heard “this number doesn’t accept incoming calls”.

I got a call at 11:43pm and didn't answer it- it was from Maximus.

I don't like the stranger number on my cellphone

Got a call on my cell phone from 213 337 0021. They didn't leave a message. I called back using my work number and no-one answered. I let it ring and ring, still no answer. Who is this and what do they do?

i got a call from 2133370021 and he said he will give me 35,000.00 if  i let him have my bank info.

I GOT A SAYING THEY WERE THE IRS. THAT THEY OWED ME 2500.00 FROM MY TAX'S RETURN. THAT THE MONEY CAN BE WIRD TO MY BANK ACCOUNT IN JUST TWO DAYS. THEY JUST NEEDED MY BANK ACCOUNT INFO.IT WAS AN INDIAN GUY ON THE LINE.I TRY CALLING THE NUMBER BUT YOU CAN'T CALL IT BACK..

Received a call on my cell this morning from this number and it was just "Dead Air" no one on the other line. When I've tried to call back my phone automatically drops the call.

I finally answered this time. A man said that he was calling from the US Government Grant Department. He had an African accent and was obviously reading from a script. He was offering me a tousand-dollar grant that I would never have to pay back. The script said that I was selected because I am a regular taxpayer and have not filed for bankruptcy within the last 2 months. It was very hard to hear him, and we got disconnected. He called back and said "hello, this is US grant department. Why you hung up?" So I hung up again.

"Maximus" shows up on my caller ID. They won't leave a message, so I just answer and then hang up. They've called back 4 times in the last ten minutes.

I tried calling back, and got disconnected. How funny? Anyway, when I don't recognize a phone number I always search it online to see who it might be. Surpries, surpreise. I guess someone in Nigeria wants my bank account, I surmize. A couple of weeks ago, I received an emial to my Yahoo account from a company offering me a "Grand Prize" I had won. All I had to do was call a number, and collect my prize. I typed the area code online, and the area code belonged to Nigeria. I am guessing that the number that appears is a dummy, and the real person calling is somewhere in Nigeria. Be carefull, and don't give your personal Info to anyone over the phone, even if its your bank. Call your bank instead, and enquire about the phone call.

really mad at this phone call! 213-337-0021 BEWARE EVERYONE FOR THIS NUMBER! this number has been calling me since this morning at 7:00, then 11:00, then 2ish, 3ish and also now at 4:30PM! Everytime i pick up, the other side hangs up and so i use a different number to call back and it's always a busy tone, i try calling that number every second with different numbers trying to get thru but it wouldn't work. my sister got one of those phone call from exact same number just last week telling her that they are calling from the US GOVERNMENT IRS and there's more tax return amount refund to her and want her account number also they said she maybe qualify for Medi-cal. ok FIRST OF ALL DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR INFORMATION AT ALL!!!

second! US GOVERNMENT of any department will not call you regarding any tax refunds because they are too busy to care about your situation, they wouldn't call you because of something so little! They have more and important big things to handle! FOR SURE! so please if you get one of these phone calls, write down the number and report it to the police, your phone company!!!

I'm tired of this number calling me every hour and not speaking, i'm just going to block this number from my cell phone and report a fraud!

"Maximus" on caller ID this morning @ 6:00! Indian dialect - asked for my husband by name. When I told him "it's 6:00AM!"  he replied, "is he awake or not?!" and then hung up.

just got a call from this phone #.  I did not pick up since I get lots of calls from numbers that I do not recognize.  They usually ask me about renewing some RX or something like that.  They usually have an Indian accent.
