Just got a call from this jerk.  He calls here MONTHLY demanding the owner in a rude way and talking to me like I'm an idiot.  Well, this idiot called him back and had a little fun with him on speaker phone in front of the entire office..   Whatever your name is, JACK***, get a life!    You've made a horrible vocational error and I hope you get some help.

"Bill" from "Shepherd Services" called.  Same complaint as everyone above.  I simply hung up.  Other than not answering the phone, there is no polite way to deal with these idiots.

call appeared on the phone during lunch hour. After reading the complaints I am glad I didn't have to answer it.
It is the start of a new month so here we go again...whooopee!!!

Received phone call from Chris wanting to speak to the owner or CEO of the company and he gave a name of the owner, which was not our owners name. I asked him who he was again and where he was calling from. He advised his name was Chris and that he was calling about a confidential legal matter involving the company. I asked him the name of his company, and he informed me that he didn't have a company. He stated that he worked for Attorney Recovery Services. I asked him what the matter was regarding again and he stated again that it was a confidential legal matter and that he'd probably already given me more information than I was allowed to know. I informed him that I needed this information to let the owner know whom he would be speaking to. Chris then accussed me of talking in circles to him because he kept denying me additional company information so I kept asking for the name of his company. He finally threatened me saying that I was risking the future of my company because I wasn't letting him speak to the owner. I contacted our owner and informed him who was on the phone. The owner spoke with him and Chris told our owner that he was trying to collect a debt that the company owed and our owner informed him that we don't owe debts to anyone. Chris got rude with him so our owner hung up.

Word of advice: If you see this number on your caller ID or you answer the call and he gets rude, then just hang up on him.

Same thing, insisted to talk to owner. Told him I could take a message and he began asking me the owners name, I asked why he was calling someone he didn't know, he replied that if I "was going to treat him like that he will take his business elsewhere". Sounds good to me, now I wont have to break my fist on his face.

What a nasty piece of work.  Very rude!!

Just received a call from this number.  Caller very rude.  Started yelling at me that it was a confidential matter and needed to talk to my boss and who did I think I was to  be asking him a lot of questions.  So unprofessional.

I just talked to "Chris" who was extremely rude, especially when I wouldn't immediately put him through to my boss whom he insisted was expecting his call.  I told him very politely that I could take his name and phone number and that he was unavailable.  He yelled at me and said that it was an important legal matter and that I wasn't being helpful.  I kept repeating myself and he grew more impatient.  I finally said "Sir, I don't know who you are.  Please give me your name if you want me to investigate further."  Click.  What a jerk.

I answered the phone and respectfully said, Hello.  Right off the bat he was loud & VERY RUDE and said give my client money today or I'm sending an officer to your home to arrest you. I said okay send them and then hung up.

His name was Gay Gary.
I know he is gay because most gay men talk disrespectfully tough on the phone. Usually because they are not man enough to get in your face and disrespect you like that. Hey Gary, forget sending the law over to my home to arrest me you coward. You come to my home & talk to me the way you did on the phone tough guy. You WILL be swallowing teeth. This is not tough talk, come and see if your man enough.

Unbelievable.  My guy called himself Justin, said he was calling from 'Park Services.' He told me more than once to, 'do your job, get up off your chair and go tell ** that I'm on the phone, then he can decide whether to take the call.'  ** was in a meeting with customers (for real), but that didn't satisfy him.  I finally told him I wasn't actually sitting and to cease speaking to me in that manner - he kept babbling in the same vein, so I hung up on him.  Wonder when my blood pressure will return to normal...

Pretty much same story as the rest of the other posts.  Very rude. He asks for info but is not willing to give any.  Says his name was Chris.  Total a** on the phone.

rude guy just called in, called himself James, demanded to speak with owner, did not understand his company name, re refused to spell it, I asked him what is was about, he said it is a private matter, I told him the company owner is not available and he said he would call back, next time he will end up on my voice mail ....

I called this number back. Brandon answered and told me that he is offering a collection service. He asked me how I would go about getting money from someone that owed it to my small business if they were past due. He was not mean or rude but he did hang up on me when I asked him for more information in case I might need his service in the future. Poof he was gone :~D

I had this number call too! (213-337-0128). He was asking for the previous Owner. I said no one here by that name.  So he asked if he had reached >the name of our company< Which I said yes to. Then he asked who the current Owner was. So I gave his name. When I said he wasn't in, then asked what he was calling in regards to, the caller said "A confidential & legal matter." I found it odd...how could he have a "confidential" "legal" matter with the new Owner who he didn't even know the name of?!?  Glad I looked it up...I feel sorry I gave up the new Owner's name...but at least I can watch for this number now and give them a harder time!!!!

These people are scum!

I just received a very rude call from someone that was threatening and asking for a coworker who was not present at the time.  I tried to take a message for that person, but the rude person on the other end of the phone would not leave a message and said this was a confidential matter and could only speak to my coworker.  I called the number back and got a totally different person.  He was equally as rude and would not tell me the name of their company.  Then he threatened that they would get a hold of my coworker no matter what it takes.  I finally hung up.

Oh the idiots we have to deal with on a daily basis.  Beware of all the fraud that is going on out there.  If it is too good to be true, then it probably is.

Just received a call from an extremely rude and threatening person at this number also demanding to speak to an owner that hasn't been with the company in years.  when told that i was not authorized to put any calls through, he began to curse and yell into the phone about how it was his human right to obtain this information and that he would contact the authorities if I did not comply.

When I still wouldn't give him any information he began comparing the call to if he would go to a restaurant and request the owners information as it should be "Public Knowledge".  More swearing and threatening that he would get me fired for being such an idiot.  

Worst call I've gotten of this kind in a while! Thought I would share... Eek.

Gary just called me too, this guy just shouts a bunch of demands at you. nice sales tactic bud..

Our owner received a call from the company at 213-337-0128. They threatened to send someone to our location to collect money on behalf of their clients.(we have no outstanding debts) They wanted to know the owners name. They were aggressive and threatening.

Calls asks for old owner told him he didn't own it anymore asked for new owner I informed him he wasn't in anything I could do bein manager on duty he said no dumbass I need to talk to your boss

My employer received a call from this number and the only name he would give was Gary.  Asked what company he was from he refused to give up that info.  He didn't even know who the owner was and would not get off my phone.  I called the number back that called from and got another gentleman who i explained everything to and he apologized for Gary. Gary needs more training. He's not to good at his job.
