I use to work as an employee of Eastern Research in the Florida/New Port Richey area.  As someone who has been on the phone asking a person to take a survey, and as a person who gets the same calls of being asked to take a survey, being on both ends is extremely aggravating and annoying.  I could not stand being on the phones for 8 hours asking, pleaing or even begging a person to take time out of their day to take some stupid survey that won't do anything for anyone.  After every phone call I made, I muted my phone and cussed like there was no tomorrow to myself.  Not because of the people who hung up on me, or cussed me out because I was just trying to do my job, but the idiots at ERS who constantly harass me about making these calls to people and harass me when I don't get a survey done.  

AND....

They don't really put your name on their DNC when you ask them too.  I found out that we, on our monitors put it on the DNC, but in truth, it gets tossed back into the other numbers and you will simply get called again.  Some employees hide their real name to protect themselves and the company. I always used my real name.  If we didn't have surveys, we didn't have work.

ERS is a horrible company, not just to the people that are called but to the employees they hire.  I left after one month of being there.

If anyone from ERS calls you, report ERS to the Attorney General in your state. And this is coming from an EX Employee of Eastern Research Services.

While I do understand that it is and can be completely exasperating to feel as though you are being "harassed" by survey research companies, please keep this in mind. Market research is most often times used to IMPROVE products and services for consumers, which we all are. Without it, companies would not know what is working well, what isn't, what people like, what they do not, what needs to be changed or improved, what doesn't, etc. Sometimes companies will compensate you a little bit for helping them with the survey, and in turn, it also allows you to have your voice and opinions heard about something, such as political matters, etc. True, market research may not SAVE the world, but most often times, it is used to improve it. These companies are not subject to the "Do Not Call List", because that is for companies who call you to actually sell something to you, not just to ask you for your opinions. If you do not like to help out with the occasional survey, then do not bi*** when something in this world is not to your liking. This is what research helps to do.

Keeps calling, I have asked to be taken off their call list but they continue to call.

This company has called my home countless times, all hours of the day and night, and I have asked them 'politely' to please remove my number from their calling list. They hang up on me immediately. Isn't this harassment? If they call again, I'm contacting my Attorney General, and my Lawyer. I've had it!!

"Your" is a possesive pronuon while "you're" is a contraction for "you are" as in "your spelling hinders the point you're trying to make."  :)  (Your grammar also appears to be deteriorating as well.)

It would be difficult to ascertain your location from this as the barely literate live all over America.  Yes, you are American.  Your creative use of grammar does not signify an ESL upbringing as much as it does one who apparently got little from the public school system.  (Yes, I'm guessing you didn't go to private school.)

Hmmm, I must have forgotten this was a grammar test. I was not aware that my spelling classified me as a juvenile or uneducated.. Since your trying to guess about me why don't you guess what race am I or better yet where I live? If you're so suspicious Then ask don't just take an "educated guess" my grammar doesn't define the man I am just a heads up. & no I am not associated with them. I simply went online and looked up ER surveys to see what they really were and wen I found out I realized that these people are really just trying to make the world a better place by obtaining opinions of citizens. That doesn't sound so harmful to me.

To be making a big of a deal as you guys are over a simple survey is just ridiculous but I guess some people have alot of time on their hands.

Judging from your interesting spelling and failure to adhere to any sort of grammar rule I'm assuming you are either: a) juvenile or b) uneducated.  At either rate, I will treat you with the same respect I treat them.

It seems so counter-productive to invoke Godwin's law here but I can't help myself.  Why do you think "they're just doing their job" is an excuse for ignoring people's rights to privacy?  Weren't the Nazis "just following orders"?  Allowing people to abdicate decency behind the plea of "hey,man, I'm just doing my job!" is a dangerous line that leads to no good.

What I'm really curious about is why you are posting here.  Are you really nothing more than a troll or are you related to the company?  My first guess would have been that you are somehow connected with them.  However, your elementary level application of the rules of grammar makes me think that isn't the case.  However, if you're a troll then how did you end up here?  Were you thinking one day "hey, I'll go post flame bait on a site complaining about ER surveys!"  You see that seems rather random and implausible as well.  Okay, the suspense is building!  Are you a juvenile troll or an ER lackey?

They've been harassing me as well.  For a while I just let it ring.  I finally answered once and they asked to speak with my wife.  I told them she wasn't home and not to call back.  They did again but this time hung when they heard a male voice.  The third time I answered with a cheap female voice.  When they asked to speak with my wife I again told them not to call.  On the fourth time my wife was home and asked them not to call.  They informed her they weren't subject to the DNC list.

Thanks for the president's phone number.  I just left him a voicemail explaining the situation and asking if he knew who I should speak to or if it would be simpler to get a small claims court ruling against them first.  The law may be on their side as far as the DNC list but not for harassment.

they should respect my right not to answer the survey, and just stop calling. and just so you know. surveys will not save the world.

What has this world come to? These nice well educated people call my house once in a while. Why? Because I do the easy survey and they stop calling! Wow retards.. Have respect it's their JOB.  What are surveys for? To make this world a better place so next time you complain about the world shut your mouth all of you! Cause you guys are doing NOTHING about it. & setting all your anger on a company calling to conduct a survey is just a another way of saying "I don't have a life." enough said ;)

I can't get these people to leave me alone. I quit asking nicely to remove my number from their call list.  I am going to find out what I need to do to file a complaint with the Attorney General's office.

These types of companies are legally required to identify themselves on caller ID.  This company masks itself as "Cell Phone CA" on caller ID.  This is obviously an unscrupulous company. If you have call blocking, use it for these scumbags.

These guys have called at all times, waking up our 2 year old.  I tell them everytime I answer to never call again and yet they still call back.  I just filed a complaint with the ftc-I suggest others do the same

They have been harassing me for 2 weeks. Today they blocked their namafter 3 calls so it showed unknown but same tel number came up. I think they were testing me to see if I would answer if their name did not show. They continued to call 4 more times,after that. Total times today--8.

I did a phone survey with Eastern Research Services which was obviously on behalf of Walmart.  They promised me $75 for my time, then sent me $5.  I hope they lose a lot of business by doing that.

I sent email to the company's president. I filed complain with "Do not call" registery which I found that those companies are allow to call. I got on the web and found that Off list request. I will be filing complaints to all places I can think of. Also, I will send emails to all political candidate that I will not vote for them if they use this survice - although no one will admit to that.

Got MANY calls per day from "ER Surveys" #701-661-1579.
We are on DO NOT CALL LIST & want this to stop. We ask everytime they call & they hang up.
I think I got about 5 calls in one day. It wont stop.

If you took the survey, you got no reason to look it up on here. And you sure got no reason to monitor the site to respond to some crank. So he must be right, you work there after all. What a terrible job, hope you die soon and be out of your misery.

This is the kind of posts the lowlife scumbag professional privacy invaders make on this site to trick people into taking your BS "surveys" -- you know, where you ask people questions that are none of your business then SELL them to your paying customers -- or worse, you use a "survey" as a ruse to find out who to telemarket to, or even worse to steal your victims' identities.
