I'm receiving daily calls from this number.  When I answer, there are a few seconds of silence and then a hang up.

Does anyone have knowledge about who is calling me?

them: "no."
me: "why not?"
them: "because we dont have to"

This number keeps calling my cell. I never answer it.

I was called today and they wanted to lower my interest rate of my credit card to 6 percent. But I only have one card and its at 3 percent. So its some kind of scam. I cant believe that these people are allowed to call and harass us all day long and and when we get pissed we go to jail and are called a terrorist. F*** them. The laws here are so f***ed up.

received a call from 213-363-5170 said it was Card Services about lowering my interest rate. I used to get the same call from a 760 areacode. An automated service states its about lowering my interest rate on my existing card (funny I dont have a credit card) and to press 9 to lower my rate. Today I pressed 9 to tell them to take my number off their list and was Hung Up On immediately!

I just got a call on my ATT cell phone from 213-363-5170.  They did not leave a message.

Why am I getting these calls

These calls are coming in on my cell phone. 10¢/min. if not another cell phone on my own cell phone provider.
This is my business phone and I get my customer calls from cell phones with #s from all over the USA & Canada even though they are calling from my area.
Grr! I can't just ignore calls just because I don't recognize the caller's #.
This never happens on my other cell phones that are with other carriers.

i've gotten so many 'garbage' calls i just don't answer my cellphone if there's a number i don't recognize.  i figure that if it's important, they'll leave me a message.  if they don't, it wasn't important.

of course, idiots leave messages sometimes.  like these idiots.  i sincerely doubt that FORD will allow them to extend my 15-year-old car's warranty.  if they can, it'd be great - she's starting to cost a bit for repairs.

I do not need an extended warranty.  Although it is a good idea, this is harrassment.  I am filing a complaint with the CA AG's office.

I have a strange feeling we all in a really good con game, let me explain:

1. we get these junk-mail calls from a certain number (the interesting part is that the number is the same but the services offered are different);

2. Those of us who are internet savy check out the number on-line, putting the number into a search engine;

3. one of the sites that pops up offers to hunt down the number, for a steep price. Here's the url <https://www.instantphonelookups.com/>

Now it seems mighty fishy that this web-site doesn't provide contact information to the business itself. Now I know a lot of people who would use whois.com, but many won't. The calls are designed to call you often and at the worst time of day, so you'll do anything to get rid of it.

Therefore, I believe that the people behind this site (and sites like this) are the ones sending out the junk calls!!
