said he was a "US marine" and will have his private courier come and pick it up.
requested me to send my paypal information, in reverse I asked for his paypal email and send a request for $$ instead.

Poor loser ... Same story here ...wanted to buy fridge for his mom back in California...lol...when he asked me to go to Western Union and send $$ I knew for sure this was a scam...we have to feel sorry for these losers ....what a let down to society !!

Guy texted me saying it was for his wife in some state. Offered me $550 for a phone I had for sale on kijiji for 250. Saw this scam a mile away when he asked me to ship it.

I had this happen to me just now! I am from Montreal (QC). Same thing - had furnitures for sale on Kijiji and he said that it was for his mother.

I wish I knew in advance before sending this guy 300$ for shipping out of my pockets!

Isn't there anything we can do in order to stop this guy from scamming others?

Wow are stories are identical. Exactly the same except for that I'm in Vancouver, not Calgary. Cannot believe this piece of garbage of a person.

Same low life tried to scam me this morning responding to my furniture for sale ad on Kijiji. Same story as you except this "US marine" was going to send the furniture to his mother in Califorinia.
I also warn people: He's a waste of skin and oxygen skammer, do NOT deal with this piece of CRAP!!

Had a couch for sale on Kijiji Calgary for 300CAD. He told me he was from California, in the marine core and was buying the couch for his mom as a surprise. Email is davidarobert06@gmail.com. Wanted to pay through paypal and that a shipping company would come pick it up. Up to this point, it seemed legit. He then said that the shipping would cost him 300CAD, so he will send me 600CAD in hopes that i pay the shipping company based on trust. Clearly something is not right. And then he started hassling with immediate emails one after another, saying that the transfer was made, to check my inbox, scam and junk folder, and to send the shipping payment over to Western Union ASAP. This is the info he provided for me to give to Western Union:

Had an expensive road bike for sale on kijiji. recieved e-mails and eventually texts from this guy. Told me he was in California, bike was going to Nigeria. Told me he sent the money through paypal, never received any comfirmation from paypal. Checked his number and found this. I questioned him on this site, no reply.  He's a waste of skin and oxygen skammer, do NOT deal with this piece of CRAP!!
