I also got a message from a guy at 810-476-5829 he sent me pics that I had to ad software to open computer said it was mail ware to game access to my computer beware of this number.

Just got a text from this number. I have my bike posted in several ads and this person texted wanting to know the condition. The ads are in Oklahoma, the number is from California. Got a text like this the other day as well from a number out of Michigan 810-476-5829. Beware out there.

Sent me the same thing today trying to buy my truck. Aug-30-13

This person said they are hard of hearing and can't use a phone. Text only. Wants to buy my truck via pay pal. Never discussed a title or gave a name.

This person wanted to pay $22,000.00 by pay pal. Plus an additional $2,000.00 for shipping. Dose this person think we're stupid?

This is a scam "PLEASE DO NOT RESPOND OR SEND ITEMS TO THIS GUY"  He states he is a marine in the military and will send the money/check to you and he wants you to send the merchandise to him.  I listed a car on craigslist and he sent me a text message.  He only sends text messages.  When I asked him to call me he never responded back at all.  My friend tried calling the number back and no one answered at all.  Whatever you do please don't release any personal information about yourself including a pickup address or anything.

Ok.  "Larry" sent txt to buy my boat for $20K that had been listed on Ebay....he said funds were sent to my paypal acct but I had to pay shipping because he couldn't pay them directly.  I was to Western Union $1,250 for shipping boat to California fm Georgia.  To begin with, I;ve shipped  boats before, that doesn't even get it to Texas.  Anyway, contacted Paypal, no funds waiting to be liberated in my account.  Said his name is Larry Grant at larrygrant234@gmail.com.  Paypal identified as phishing.  Watch out!

I Received a text from this number but I also received an email from a guy named
Beartney Ben with an email as <beartben@gmail.com> with the same persistent attitude wanting all the same information also saying he is a marine biologist and will be leaving out to sea so therefore will have no phone contact only e-mail.  Really sounds like the same guy to me.  SCAM

When this number contacted us he was using the name Larry but the rest was the same . I knew immediately that it was a scam so I sent him a very lengthy message about what a sorry piece of crap he was and how I was sure he enjoyed a sexual relationship with his mother , needless to say he stopped sending us messages :)

This randy guy is texting me right now about a paintball gun i have for sale on craigeslist.. same MO. marine out to sea, buying for nephew.. same story about paypal.. told him to go F*** HIMSELF..the end.

Yea, my wife just had me check on it cause something sounded strange about this buyer who wanted send Paypal info so we could freight him a expensive saddle... just read this post, holy crap, i'm glad i checked on it. Didn't even change his freakin name!!!! i hope someone arrests him soon for bein a dumb@$$!

I got texts from this guy, Randy Collins.  Said he wanted to buy my windows and would only text.  Said he would send money by paypal.  When I said no paypal he sent a check that was written off a bad business account.  Said it was a refund from his company and could only send one check.  Was sending enough for the windows and then someone to come and pick up the windows. Said to take it to my bank and cash it right away.  When I told him the check didn't clear the bank it was written on he said again that I was to take it to my bank not that one.  Do not make a deal with this guy he is trying to scam you.

Steven- This is part of a Paypal scam. Please be careful! He'll say he sent you the money, but will send you a phoney receipt. If you have his paypal address, check it on Paypal. If you don't know it, try his email address. Whatever you do- Don't send anything until you check it on Paypal yourself -Don't click on anything sent to you until you scan for virus' (the validation code he's sending).
