I received a phone call from this number 213-416-2884 at 6:49pm on Saturday 6th 2008. It was something to do about a loan offer.

Loan Processing is what the Caller ID read.  No one answered. I have been getting lots of calls for bogus credit card rate reductions and "car warranties." All recordings.  I, too, am on the Do Not Call list. I am about to go through all my online accounts and remove my phone number- if I already haven't.  The number of these computerized phone calls just ticks me off.  They get through the loop hole.  If you do get to a human, they disconnect if you even mention anything about "manager," "Do Not Call," "remove me from your list."

This number has been leaving me messages for over a month now about my loan for $1500 being processed. I have pressed 2 to have my number removed (it takes up to 30 days) and still keep getting the calls. Today there was a man on the line who said my AUTO loan was ready for processing. I told him I didn't apply for an auto loan and he asked again. I told him NO then hung up. I wished I had been more coherent realizing who was calling. Called ID showed up Red Rock Communications today. In the past it was usually "Loan Processing". I called the number back and the automated message knew my first name and wanted to know if I had a bank account. I pressed 2 for NO and got a message telling me to call back when I did have one so they could process my loan. Never an option to speak with a person. If I pressed 0 I was told I pressed an invalid key. I haven't made any online application and am on the Do Not Call Registry so I don't know where they got my number and it's really pissing me off.

What is a back account? Is that with a chiropractor?

Red Rock Communications is not the caller on these. They are a company which provides caller ID to other companies who are "doing large volume dialing".

They are not the people calling offering the loans. I would also comment that anytime someone asks for your back acct number it is probably a scam.

Loan advertisement.  How did get my number even it suppose to be unlisted???

These are machine generated calls for lead companys like...Lending Tree, Double Positive, Salesgenie, Lowermybills.com are a few examples. (look them up)
Here's how it works....
They call you...you pick it up and say "Hello", the computer recognizes a human voice and then in an blink connects you to an operator. She thanks you for answering and wants to know what type of loan you need or have questions about. She/He takes some basic information...(loan amount, credit rating, type of house, etc) and places you on hold for a representive. Once this is done...the operator then calls a company that has purchase leads from them at a rate of...$40 to $100 each. Independent companies or Large corporate companies buy these leads. Believe it or not...you may hang up the phone on the Sales person once you fully relize what is going on...but you have just cost that loan officer/company that dollar amount. A company may spend $1000 on leads and never close a deal.

I have been getting the same calls and I am on the do not call list. I have not applied for a loan. I got the call at 8:30pm on Sept. 10th.

I just got a call from this phone number. The caller ID registered the name as RED ROCK COMMUN. It's 3:27pm right now and I recieved it at 3:24pm. I'm glad that I looked up the number. Whenever someone calls me from a number that I'm not familiar with, I always look the number up before I answer. So I know who it is and where they are calling from.

I don't know who this is, but I could not disconnect the call.  I kept trying to disconnect it, but every time I clicked off, and then hit talk they were still there.

Same deal, they need additional info in order to process my loan, and I haven't asked for a loan form anybody. I've gotten this call several times in the past two to three weeks. Any thoughts on how to make it stop?

I am on the Do not call list. Who's number is this. Also I read the note from Ethel Washington and others. I'm glad I didn't ans. the call based on what they've said. Plz. tell me what company or individual this is.

I just received a call at this number saying that my loan has been approved and all I have to do is hit "0" to get my money.  I have not requested a loan from anyone.  I am also on the "do not call" list.

Got call regarding loan needed more info..I am on no call list and have not applied or need a loan....

Contact the National Do Not Call Registry: https://www.donotcall.gov/ and file a complaint if you're registered and if you aren't registered with them..REGISTER.
The more the national registry gets complaints the more likely that this scam and it's operators will be prosecuted.

Kept getting these calls, and even a few text messages on my cell phone.  Finally called them back to stop the calls, and the computer voice knew my name.  It said if I wanted to end these calls to press 9.  After I did, it offered me a "free" $100 gas card, upto $10k in loans, and a secured visa card!  Damn scammers!!

Keep receiving calls from this number.  Answered it once and it said I had been approved for my loan...I haven't applied for any loans.

You can go to https://www.donotcall.gov and file a complaint. You'll need the date and time you received the call.

I keep receiving calls from this number - (213) 416-2881. These are unsolicited calls and I have not applied for any loans. My next step is the New York State Attorney General's office and I will issue a Consumer Complaint

I am going to report this number to the Better Business Bureau, and the Do Not Call registry. I like everyone else did not request any loan or any information regarding a loan.
