Same as what Crystal said below - they call lying that they are trying to serve you (or whoever they are calling for) on behalf of someone else to appear in court. I asked who was the plaintiff (the person doing the suing), and they said they didn't have that information, that I needed to call this 888 number and provide this case number XXXXXX for that information. The guy said he was calling to let me know about this because they didn't want me getting in trouble (I.E. bench warrant issued for my arrest) for missing a scheduled court date, which was BS. Umm - a**hole, you're serving me on behalf of someone, and you can't tell me who's trying to take me to court? Or where or when this "court date" is? Yeah, no. I'm no lawyer, but any idiot can watch an episode of Law & Order and learn that if someone is having you served to appear as a defendant in court, you have a legal right to know who the eff it is. That was about a week ago. Then just today, they called 3 times back-to-back from an 888 number, then immediately 3 times back-to-back from a 213 number (central Los Angeles). They've been calling a couple friends of mine, and family members looking for me several times with the same threat over the past year or two. If anyone knows how to make them f*** off, kindly post this info. Please.

Husband got a call from this number last night telling him that I knew some guy named Patrick Lebleu and they had a summons out for him. That he needed to call 888-407-0693. They were trying to make it sound like I knew some guy my husband did not know (yeah thanks a--holes - good thing my husband and I have been married 16 years and trust each other). Then when we called the number they act all weird. They asked for the lady who used to have my phone number too and people who used to live at my address (so obviously they got all their info mixed up). I believe they are a bill collector and I intend to file a complaint with the district attorney's office. If anything further happens like this, I will be suing them for harassment because they were trying to intimidate my husband.
