Johnny is a fool.  Telemarketing is 10% of the jobs in US?  Ridiculous.  "Deal with it!"? Criminals provide jobs too so we should just deal with that also by accepting it?  Telemarketers should not have the right to waste the time of people with real jobs that produce something of value (for the most part). Johnny must be one of the tools that work for these crooks.

This is just another telemarketing fail trying to sell credit card processing systems. Has nothing whatsoever to do with politics or good jobs. Ripping people off is not good sustainable business. If you are proud of your business, put it on your caller ID so people can call you, not a calling center, back.

If you want to be a professional telemarketing operation, then at least provide these as a common courtesy like most other valid business conducted around the world. Expect an office adminstrator that is trained to screen your call to take this information. Do not waste our time. Thank you.

Telemarketing is great. As much as you guys bi***, telemarketing makes up 10% of the jobs in the US. If we had it your way our unemployment  rate would be depression level. Deal with it!

Same story as h20. They call once a week, sometimes twice a day, ask for "the owner", and once or twice for my owner! Always gives the same scripted "we'll call back later...click" response. I have told them not to call back several times.  Shows up as a "private caller", but the background noise makes it obvious it's a call center.

This person calls from the east coast (you can tell by the accent) and asks for my owner at least once a week.  I explain that the owner cannot be reached at this number and that's as far as I get before the phone is slammed down in my ear.  Today I was sick of it so I *69'd the number and dialed it back.  This company is Merchant Services.  I asked to be taken off their calling list and explained why.  No apology for the rude behavior of their 'customer service rep/telemarketer'.  If they call again I will definitely pursue prosecution because there is no excuse for calling businesses and hanging up on people when you don't get your way.  Next time they will get the phone slammed down on them.

Called yet again. Pretty much at least once a day. SO tired of these people. Ask for owner. I said he does not take calls from people he does not know. She said "oh". Is there anyone there who handles your merchant account?" I said no, they are NEVER in the office. She said, Ok, I'll just try back again. I said...NO, please take us off your list, she quickly said...I'll try back and hung up. ANNYOING.

Called and asked for owner or manager. I said no one's available and he said he'd call back later and hung up. (there was SCREAMING loud music in my ear) Same number (same guy) called back less than a minute later and asked for someone who works here by name...trying to sound casual, like he knew him. (hey, is so-and-so around?) Nope. He didn't even wait for explanation and hung up. Jerk.

Listen Ooooky darlin', apparently you are not reading Al's post either.  I was merely clarifying Al's statement to Seriously.  Do I need to clarify it again for you too?  What is it about liberals?  You read until some feeling is invoked that contradicts your world view and become blind to the actual words that were written.  What was it, the word 'stupid' that strikes too close to home?
