I just set my phone so if the number is not in my book it does not ring.  :)  Have only had maybe 2 people that I had to call back.  Man isn't this world getting getting bad

These people at "Political Opinions of America" who are making these illegal telemarketing robocalls are not taking a real survey.  That's part of their scam -- an attempt to get around the do not call list by using a fake survey.  They are spoofing dozens of different phone numbers from all over the country.  They also now have a fake website.

If you press any number (or fill in a form on their fake website) to have yourself removed from their calling list, you are only confirming that your number is real, etc.  

The cruise is not free.  You will have to give them a credit card to 'hold' your reservation.  They will charge 'small fees' to it.  However, the fees are not small and are not refundable.  Some people who have fallen for this scam have also had to sit through interminable time-share presentations with high-pressure salespeople.  Come on!

Hang up.  Block the number if you have that capability, or add the number to your phone's address book under SCAM.  Immediately report each scam call that you receive to www.donotcall.gov.  If they don't know about it, they cannot do anything about it.

Time to start calling Senators and finding out with the FCC if these so called exempt organizations really are exempt. Here's a nice e-mail from their attorney:

Why are the Do Not Call list people so impotent? Do we not pay for their salaries? If they would put a few if these a hole "business" owners in prison, it would slow down. Lawmakers threaten with "new and stronger laws", just jokes....a pot calling the kettle black, they are almost all thieving clowns with fat wallets, big boats  and summer homes. But they care, because without us they would not get the money we lose in our 401k's and they gain from insider trading. They can buy/sell stock in a company the very same day they are going to vote on a huge government contract for the same company.
If you had that knowledge before hand and did the same you would go to prison. But they are the elite....You should contact your Senator and Congressperson and tell them to end that!

I started receiving calls on my cell phone from (213) 550-3033.  I read all the reports on the internet about this number, so I didn?t answer it.  I have only recently started receiving unknown calls on my cell the last 3 weeks, which makes me believe my phone number got onto some scam artist list.  I am posting the other telephone numbers below in case there is some connection with these numbers and maybe some of you have been receiving calls from these as well:

I have filed a complaint with the FCC about this number and one other that calls ALL THE TIME.  Do the same!  Maybe with enough complaints we can get this to stop.  You can file online and it only takes a couple of minutes.

The Gvmt is going to stop these calls for good (LOL). It won't be like the Do Not Call list. They mean it this time (LOL).  I think we will get many more calls as these a-holes will double the calls before any new bill passes and they can find a way around the new bill.

Well, it's another new year and this parasite, as well as the usual old parasites have begun calling me long distance (this one, probably just the same cruise line SCAMMER utilizing a different telephone number...now from the Los Angeles, CA area) to my 'for emergency only use' private cell phone number...pfft! This unsolicited caller has called my cellphone repeatedly since just before 8AM this morning? After reading similar notes from others here, as well as performing a numbers search, I've now confirmed this number to be a Verified SPAMMER!

I do not answer calls from numbers not listed in my phone's 'Contact List', but instead, I add them as a Verified SPAMMER to it, so that I'll know that such 'bogus' calls are to be ignored in the future. In addition, I never respond to nor return these calls, especially using the "press 1 to be removed" feature, as all types of calls like these are all just simply SCAMs and these types of 'grifters' obviously 'don't play by the rules' anyway. Calling them back or picking-up the call only shows them that you are in fact a 'live' number. I ignore these calls so that maybe after several rings/unanswered calls, parasites like these might hopefully and eventually drop my number from their 'Who To Try and SCAM Today' list.

BTW, don't believe the 'trolls' that tell you that you must have unknowingly signed-up at one time or another with the SPAMMERs, as I sometimes wonder if these people are in fact legitimate posters at all? I have never listed my cellphone number anywhere nor with anyone and I do not use it to call anybody...except for emergency purposes only; i.e., medical, fire, and law enforcement; therefore, I'm assuming that SPAMMERs like these have 'tapped' into the various cell provider databases? In addition, I'm unsure if the Do Not Call List even works, as I?ve read a number of like responses across the internet from numerous citizens continually being plagued by SPAMMERs...yet they too have continually reported the numbers of unsolicited callers to the FTC religiously?

I agree with mtf.  They're most probably just fishing for live numbers and everytime a person answers the phone or presses #1 or #3 to stop receiving the calls they are actually saying "yes" somebody owns this number and it's a live number.  They don't seem to be selling anything in particular to the caller but like mtf said they're probabling selling your number to more of these crooked scammers.  Unfortunately answering machines also lets them know that it's a live number even if you don't pickup.  The government needs to legislate spoofing technology.  By making it legal it's impossible to catch these jag offs because it makes them untraceable.

I think if someone locates an actual address of this company or some direct phone number in they should be literally deluged by all of us complaining to them about this continued harassment. I think this will certainly start a push back against them. it seems there are a great number of people annoyed by this from the sheer numbers on this board.

I think a sheer force response for each of these companies is something they deserve!

I think this should be the standard recommendation each time a harasser is exposed on the internet,  so we can mobilize against them.

I get calls from this number every single day.  I don't ever answer, hoping they will stop calling.  Right now at least 4 'scam/spam' call my cell phone.  I am on the do not call list, but it doesn't seem to matter.  Is there something I can do other than call my cell phone provider and put blocks on these numbers?

I have been getting phone calls from this number frequently as of late and would like it to stop. I don't know who it is - and they don't leave any messages identifying themselves. I doubt their legitimacy.

I got a hangup/no message call from this am on my cell phone but I've gotten that same survey/bahamas cruise scam on my land line in the past month.

I wish we could round up all the people perpetrating this illegal telephone harassment & put them on a one-way cruise to the Bermuda Triangle! ;-)

A call to verizon cell phone this AM, no message left. Looks like whoever is dialing has been a very busy little MF the past two days.

Just got the call at 7:41pm .. said that I had been specifically picked to participate in a 30 second political survey, and for participating I would receive 2 free tickets to a cruise to the bahamas!

Thanks for putting up these posts.  I received a call from this number 213-550-3033 and no message.  When someone unknown does this, you think you missed an important phone call.  Not cool.

Called my mobile 6 hours ago. Just found out now as I have ringer off and there was no message left! Their loss.

Just got a call from this number.  Did not answer it as I did not recognize the area code or phone number.  I get one of these calls weekly and would sure like to know how to get off their list!!
