Got a call just a few minutes ago.... Same spill as an earlier post, Said they had been recieving error messages at Microsoft HeadQuarters about my computer being infected with the "Trojan Back Virus". I didn't know anything about this number or scam, so innocently I went along... until he wanted me to connect my computer to a website so that he could walk me through the "dis-infection" of my computer... Like others I got supscious by this time... asking for a number where I could call him back after verification of the company and the threat... Scary thing is that he called my Parents by name and had thier home address. Unfortunately for him I happened to answer my parents phone and realized this was a scam. Tell everyone that you know about this... its kinda scary what he could do if you connected your computer to his over the net.

Yep I got A call but he infomed me there was a problem with my Windows Software Ha Ha I played w/ him a little. I asked him if he needed my CC number and Bank account number. LMAO I thought he was going to faint! as i was giving him the number of an Ohio McDonalds as my CC # I asked him if he had spoken to the Nigerian Prince about my wire transfund and he hung up.

My aunt from mexico called, and this number appeared. We asked her what phone she was using and she said her normal house phone. We don't understand why her number appeared as "The Varnish"

The number was 213-622-9999, and it was an automated call, asking me to call them back at 1-800-339-**** (dont remember last 4 #s.)The ID read "Label Gallery, and they said I had an account with them, and it was "very important" that I speak with them. " They will be reported as I have a do-not-call number.

Got a call to my work from this number. Picked up but didn't hear a thing. They hung up.

I've gotten two calls from them, wanting info on my computer. This guy couldnt stop laughing long enough to explain why he was calling.  I knew what the deal was because they'd called me before. I told him they were a bunch of thieves and he hung up.

I got a call from this number at about 5:45 pm on Tuesday May 29, 2012.

Caller ID said the "Label Gallery" but when I called the number back it was the Varnish Bar in Downtown Los Angeles.

They've changed names to "Label Gallery".  Still the same phone # obviously spoofed.

I received a call from 213-622-9999 today at my work in PA. The caller sounded like a 12 year old boy and he didn't know quite what to say at first but then continued to say he worked for Verizon and wanted to save me 14% off my bill by having me grab my latest bill and reading him some information off of it. Definitely a scammer.

Received a call.  Called back and is Varnish in LA.  Have no idea why they called me but don't want a call back

Received a call that I had won $700,00.00 and a mercedz Benz, I was to go to Walgreens or Walmart to get a green dot card  for $199.00 and they would come and meet me with the check and car in 15 minutes today.  Funny my bank is closed today at 12pm, they would bring the car and the check would clear on Monday. Good thing I got enough sense to check this site for this number  .

recieved a call from this number,also. WHO THE HELL ARE THESE PEOPLE? shows up on my phone's display screen as UNAVAILABLE. Has any one also gotten calls from an outfit calling themselves as READERS SERVICE or PUBLISHERS READERS SERVICE?

Received a call from 213-622-9999.  Jerome said he was calling on behalf of ALW Sourcing and that we owed a debt.  He did not give an amount or who we owed it to.  Gave the number 866-588-7138 x5923.  Also a reference number of SJ7307. After googling the number, we found out the 213 number is for The Varnish, a nightclub in LA.  After looking at what other people said about the same number, we also realized it is a scam. Not going to call, but am notifying the MN Attorney General.

Just got a call from an LA number (this one) - I work in NYC and we don't deal with anyone on the west coast - googled the number before I picked up and glad I did - asked for the office manager when they called (which I am) but I didn't answer. They did not leave a message.

Obvious overseas call spoofing the number on Caller ID. Said they were with Google Maps and wanted to know information about the company. I told them they would need to submit such requests in writing.

They called me and we didn't pick up because we are tired of the robo calls and political calls.  We screen before we pick up.  Anyway, I called back later and the voice message said they were a cocktail bar (closed on Sunday apparently) and that it was first come first serve.  We don't even live in the same state and never heard of them.  Must be a telemarketer.

called me on tuesday 1230p. asked for me by name but didnt say anything else. caller id says the varnish. i dont need varnish.

This is a scam.  They called at nearly 11pm at my home.

Received a call from work today from this number.  I called back and it was the number to the Varnish Restaurant in LA.  I sent them an email asking why they are calling me and was told by the manager that someone is using their number to call people.  It even comes up as The Varnish on the caller ID.

this is a scam dont give into their b***s***!!! i "won" a 10,0000 grant from the gov. but have to pay $150 processing fee.... psh processes THIS.
