This # started calling my place of work yesterday. I get a phone call every couple minutes from this # and when I tried to call the # back i get a message stating this is not a working # and if i believe i have reached this # in error hang up and try to dial it again. WEIRD!!!! These calls are getting very annoying. It's nothing but dead air on the other line no background noise or anything.

i got a call from that number it hung up on me and then called back came as private and blocked... stalkers people leave me alone!! jacey wyatt

in regard to my previous complaint wherein I encouraged all of you to file formal complaints, I received a letter from the FCC today snail mail.  My complaint number is #05-T00339357-1 and yes, they are doing an investigation. If would benefit us all, if all of you would let also file complaints.  The FCC even thanked me for my complaint and with what I see so far, I am impressed with the FCC. They wasted no time.  Remember, whether you voted Democratic or Republican, and you absolutely have the right to vote either way, we do have a new administration that is taking a different approach. GVCWinstar is Texas Owned it appears, but their boy ain't in the big white house to help them. I have tried again to call GVC Winstar's number during normal business hours.  I bet the FCC can reach them.  They are leaving me alone now, except they made their decision too late.  What I notice and I am going to be a little critical, is that people will post but not actually follow with a formal complaint.  Please do so.  It does make a difference.  If you have not done so, please contact the FCC. They are conducting an investigation.  We all need to work together.  We do not want companies like this receiving government stimulus funds and I believe that is a possibility. It would be a great insult to actually pay people who facilitate this type of behavior.  I appreciate each and every one of your comments. They are intelligent and straightforward. Go ahead and file the formal complaint online and we'll get these people fined and shut down, and when they understand, and only when they understand that behavior A leads to consequence B will they change their behavior.  
I will follow up with additional information when it is available but we all need to work together.  This can be and will be stopped.  These people will make money legitimately and if they cannot do so, they can go to bankruptcy court and their company can be liquidated.

Received a call at 6:28 AM on Saturday 03/24/2009. Left no voice mail.

Also received call to RingCentral 800 # -- was 11:03 PM Eastern, and fortunately I didn't hear it.

Earlier message on this board referred to a company that forwards calls (IDT?). I don't know about that -- given the large number of people experiencing this, it feels more like some company's (call center?) automated dialing gone astray.

I also think it's strange there's a significant percentage of us with RingCentral service...

Thanks to the poster who noted we can block calls from specific #s on RingCentral! I'm doing that next!

just got a call from this number and it woke up my new born baby!  No message left and no answer just dead air!

called 800 ringcentral number 3/10/09

Called my office at 8:30AM, Sunday, Mar-8th, 2009.... long message of silence.

Called separate numbers in seattle and michigan with no way of tying them to me (very different owners) I answered and there was no message no sounds will file complaints and reroute this number to my anxiety ridden ex.

Called at 12:21 a.m. no message Don't know anyone in California

Call 9 am March 8th to my home office toll free # message left is all air.  No name is shown.

received calls 3x's for over 5 min in length back to back on 3/5/09

Received a dead air call at 6:26am this morning from this number.  VERY annoying

I would just love to bombard these types of callers with a call loop of some kind. Anyone know how to accomplish this?

Received a call from this number at 6:24 AM, woke me out of a dead sleep - I just got to bed at 2:00!  NOT HAPPY!

I too, got the "dead air" on the other end of the call to my cell.  When I tried to call the number back I received a recording that said the number had been changed, disconnected or was no longer in service.

The call came from 213-674-6424.No message.When I called back I got the message saying that this is non working number. Please check the number? Very weird. How could that be non working number if it shows on our caller Id?

Caller did not talk after I answered phone but did not disconnect call. Hung up and called back, connection did not go through.

Called my cell phone at 11:16pm ET.  Answered but dead air.  Waited about 20 sec and nothing.  This is my first call from this number but from comments above it sounds like more are on the way.  This sucks.

Called my RingCentral too. If I was paranoid I might think that Ringcentral does it to make money off of me. It too is blocked now

This no. called my Ring Central no.  I have to pay for that dead air.  Fortunately Ring Central has options for blocking callers.  Added this no. to my blocked callers list.  Problem solved. (I hope.)
