I recieved a call from 213-702-5501 on March 11th 2008 at 3:02PM while at work. I didn't get a chance to answer the call, and assumed it was a friend trying to reach me, so I called it back. The message I recieved said it was a pay phone, and that freaked me out a little, so I called my friends to see if any of them had been down in the LA area and called me, but no one had.
After looking it up online, I've been seeing reports of people getting bad calls, messages, and threats from this number. Should I be worried?

I received two calls in a row from this number looking for the previous owner of my cell phone number (I have had it 3 years and since learned "Jeanette" received a lot of calls from pharmaceutical companies, don't know if this ws related). At any rate, the woman on the other end sounded to be asian. Looks to me based on what I've read online that this is a pay phone?

I received a call from this number. The first time I didn't answer and the second time I did out of curiosity. It was my friend calling me from Downtown San Diego at 5th and G Street. Im not sure why the number is an LA number in San Diego though.

Got a call from this 213-702-5501 phone number at 8 pm tonight (Saturday, 11-22-08) exactly.. I actually live in the Hollywood area, but my phone number is still an east coast (NJ) number...and it's a cell phone #.. No one left a message, but I returned the call and it said that I had 'called a payphone that does not accept incoming calls" - then it beeped as if i could leave a message. I just hung up.

I received a call from this number on my cell I was at work and didn't see it until I got out I saw that I had a missed call with this number. There was no message left though.

just got a call on my cell from this number. Only reason why I was curious enough to google it is because I used to live in the L.A. area but haven't for awhile and no one that I used to know has my new number.

It appears a lot of people are getting "peculiar" calls from this number... strange.

i was researching this 213-702-5501  the company name for this number is Digitcom Services, Inc. i called to complain but they said that this number has been disconnected there going to search who was the last user for that phone number cuz they said that number belongs to there company. This phone is near LAX airport. In front of Sea Breeze Inn on Century Blvd. I made a call from this phone to my wife and it shows up on her cell phone bills.

I received a call from 213-702-5501 today January 18, 2008 at 2pm.  This is the first time I have received this call.  I listed some items for sale on craigslist baltimore area last night with our phone number.  After looking up this number on google it seems like there have been alot of people getting bad calls from this payphone.

I believe this number is connected to several payphones and not just one. I received a phone call from this number from a payphone in Pasadena, CA . Its in the plaza on foothill blvd with the best buy and old navy

I just received a call from this number. I screen all my calls but they left a voice mail that was quite obscene. I use a Voice Mail service that reported the caller id as WildGate.com.

My  runnaway daughter from Georgia called me from 2137025501. It's apparently in California somewhere. When  I try to call it back it says that all circuits are busy. My question is, is she really in California or is this a spoof number? I wish I knew for certain so I can have the police look for her in that area

I recieved a call from this number today by my ex wife She was using a calling card hence that is where the number comes from she was in San Diego CA.

I received a call from this number at 630 AM. I don't like when people call me that early so I called back only to get a fast busy signal... who, what and why is this # so hard to trace....

I got a call on my cell from this number on 09/09/09 from my husband. He said he was in long beach on his way to rehab. It took a while to connect before I knew it was him. I kept saying hello, hello...then he told me where he was. But he has called me a few times from this number. The call only went thru twice. i pray that this information helps...

I received a phone call from this number about 5 minutes ago...i called back, no answer...so i looked it up..and found this...kinda scary...i wonder if they have been police reports on this

I received a very unusual call from a male purporting to be an author of a book about genocide in Rwanda and Sarajevo, who asked for me by name. He asked me for certain information that was not inappropriate in the purported context of his call; but he was not forthcoming in identifying himself by name and he lacked interpersonal skills and a basic level of courtesy, so I asked him his name. He didn't speak very clearly, so I didn't hear his name clearly. I then asked him how he got my name and telephone number, and he gave me a somewhat legitimate response; but he refused to answer my other questions and he abruptly ended the call.

I got a call from this number at 11:38 Eastern time. I live in a small town in Pennsylvania. Looked up the number and it is apparently from Anaheim, Ca (?) not contridicting anything anyone else wrote. A payphone. The man on the other line was difficult to understand, but asked for "Aggie". I told him he had the wrong number but he did not hang up right away... This is very strange. I later recieved a call from LA, Ca. strange... just strange.

I recvd a call from that number on Wed., June 17, 2009; it was a friend of mine calling me from a payphone in Tijuana, Mexico.

I just got a call from this number as well.  It was my boyfriend on a pay phone in Rancho Cucamonga.  Pay phones share lines, meaning that calls from pay phones are being run through a call center.  This makes it possible for one number to occur from multiple locations.  If you need to find out the actual location the call is coming from, you'd have to contact the pay phone company for their records.

The above postings are quite alarming and confusing to me. I work for a company in Washington DC & we have gotten several calls from this phone number on our voicemail. The messages appear to be from a woman named Kimberly claiming she wants to report she is a victim of sexual asault and attempted murder somehow involving the Hollywood couple initials TC & KH. She goes on to talk about church,torture,Wilshire Blvd & attending Santa Monica College. I am familiar w/these places because I used to live in LA. Again, our company is on the East Coast & has nothing to do w/ the needs of this person. I don't know why she is calling, she is apparently disturbed, but I wanted to locate the phone booth location.

some guy called me from this number too and i thought he was really someone i knew so i had him come over and when he came to the door it wasn't the person he was supposed to be and he tried to force his way into my room..grabbing on me and stuff...thankful i was able to get him off and out but i wanted to know if this was the same dude that you were referring to..

I just received a call from this number 213-702-5501. I said hello and the person (man's voice) said "who's this"? I said who do you want? He repplied by saying F*^%($# and hung up.

My girlfriend just called me this evening from 213-702-5501.  She said it was a payphone in Yucca Valley, California at the Chevron station (Yucca is small, so there probably isn't more than one).  Her cell service wasn't very good up there, hence the reason for the call from a payphone.  I know she was really in Yucca, because she was there for her mother's surgery tomorrow morning.

Having perused this board and one other on the subject, it would seem to me that the payphones (the only common thread) are probably owned by a small telecom company that passes ANI from a pool of some kind.  Hence the various locations and cities that the callers are from.

I'm sure this isn't much help, but there it is.

Today, early morning around 5am ish, I received SIX phone calls from this number. Four of the six calls the person left a message, same person every time.

They say they are going to hunt me down and destroy my life. I didn't recognize the voice, nor do I recognize the phone number.

If it is in Cali, how did they get an Ohio phone number that is unlisted?
