Whoever uses this number (I do not know or care who they are) has been calling me every four minutes since 9:30 this AM. They do not leave a message. I had blocked them yesterday (my phone still rings once to let me know it's blocked) but I'm ready to unplug my phone just to get some peace. I just reported them on the National Do Not Call registry complaint list and if it doesn't stop, I may call the police. This is out-and-out harrassment.

This number has been calling my phone EVERY FOUR MINUTES this morning. They called several times yesterday and I then blocked them on my phone. (The phone still rings once on a blocked number.) I am now reporting them to the national Do Not Call registry. I never answered the call, I don't know (or care) who they are, and they are now harrassing me.

Just received a call...didn't answer and they hung up when the answering machine came on. Sure wish call blocking stopped all this BS

Called again tonight; just now at 7:13PM.  Caller ID said "Local Call Area" with the number again.   We picked up/hung up without answering to stop the call.  WITHIN SECONDS they IMMEDIATELY called back with the CID saying only "Out-Of-Area".  Our call blocker is set to answer any of THOSE calls (no number or name just "Out-of-area") with a message of "The number you have dialed will NOT accept your call." and then it HANGS UP on them!

I don't care WHAT so-called 'charity' it might be.  I NEVER give over the phone.

I still want a phone with MORE call blocking capacity for Christmas; 20 slots is not enough for all the BEGGARS these days.

Yet another so called -charity SCAM where only a SMALL FRACTION (<20%), if anything goes to the 'charity'.  DO NOT GIVE TO THESE SCAMMERS, People.  It only ENCOURAGES and EMBOLDENS them to continue to HARASS the rest of us!

Caller ID said "Local Call Area" but area code is LA CALIFORNIA (**IF** that's even true and not SPOOFED) and WE are on the EAST COAST!  SO they even START OUT LYING!!!!!

Awakened a House full of SLEEPING GUESTS for Thanksgiving!  I will be "THANKFUL" when they ANNIHILATE these call centers!

I have asked for a new BLOCKING phone for Christmas!  There's the spirit of the Holiday Season, eh?  Needing something that keep money-grubbing THIEVES from contacting you!!!

This call came in at 9:35 on 11/21 (Wed before T-day) in our house, which is within 'legal' limits.  But since we had all stayed up VERY late to greet traveling family when they arrived for Thanksgiving, it woke us up!  Make me SO Mad to find I've been awakened by SCAMMERS.

No message left, but thanks to this site I know know I didn't miss anything important.

Caller ID said "LOCAL CALL AREA" but we are ON THE EAST COAST, so I Don't THINK SO!

These organizations are illegitimate.  I block the number with my Digitone 10.  I hate these types of organizations.  They mostly scam the elderly.

just got a call - hung up on the agent

This number called me at 8:53 a.m. On a Saturday!!  Do they ever think maybe people like to sleep in undisturbed on a saturday morning???!  Luckily this is just a number i keep around for my home alarm system, i only use my cell phone.  But i see they have called 3 times.. I dont even have the answering machine hooked up or the ringer turned on, so let them keep calling and calling.  It will never get them anywhere.. :^)

Call came up as local call even though the area code was out of state. Caller would not identify self - only wanted to speak to one particular elderly household member. Would not leave a message. Do not appreciate such calls.

I received the same thing, stated the person they wanted was not here at the time, asked to take a message, they said no we'll call back.  I'm on the Do Not Call list so how did they get my number?  Last time they called I said no I wasn't contributing to anything else this year and they keep on calling.

Usual scam that does not respect the do not call list.  Number comes up as "local calling area" but the number is an LA number, so you know right there this is faked callerid scam.

Got a call from this number fundraising for AMVETS.  Company name was JAK Productions as an agent of Xentel.  Girl was sweet, but I asked how much of my donation goes directly to the recipients -  A whopping 13%.  Asked her to take me off their calling list as I only donate to organizations where the recipients get the lion share and not the "Agent".

Caller ID comes up with "Local Call Area" even though the area code is clear across the country from me! Obviously the Caller ID is faked, so anything these people are calling about has to be a SCAM.

Answered the phone this time. Fundraiser trying to raise money for our veterans. The name they gave is a legitimate organization but would never trust giving money to any charity over the phone due to the high level of scams being run these days. Sad that we can't afford to be as trusting these days.

Any charity that is legitimate will have a verifiable address or website in which you can donate via snail mail or online. You can also call the headquarters of the organization to verify where you can send donations to.

Support our vets. They sacrifice everything so we can be safe at home.

Solicitor from LA area......why are you calling me?!?!?!?!?!?  Identify yourself/org!  Hope others are smart enough to hang up on you......not allowing you to take advantage of them!

PLease do not call our home

Just received a call from this number at 9:25 PM.  When the solicitor asked to speak to me, I immediately asked him if he knew what time it was??  His response "I'm not even going to answer your question! good-bye!".

I'm angry beyond measure.  How dare you call my home long after acceptable hours & then treat me rudely.  I awaken at 4:15 to leave for work &  my children are in bed.

When I returned the call, a recording says its a fund raising number for children or public service agency.  I suspect it was a call from the Indiana State Police  --- while we have supported them in the past, it will be a cold day in hell before we do it again.

I anxiously await a return call as I entered my number after the recording to have one or "friendly" associates return your call & answer your questions.

Calls and hangs up. No message.

Got a call from 213-784-5843 at diner time. They did not leave a voice mail message. I called them back and got a recording from the Fundraising Information Center.
