Got the same Chase message at 2:30 AM today, which I didn't apprecaite.
kendra 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
I got a txt from the same number, I don't have a Chase Mastercard or any accounts with Chase...it also listed a partial account number. Not sure if I should call back?
V. S. 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
I received a call from info notice saying my credit/debit card had been deactivated, and to reactivate it all I had to do was call their number and give them my pin#. Yeah right!
What I'd like to know is how they not only got my unlisted cell phone # but my card # as well.
Makes me wonder about Chase's online security.
not falling for it 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
Don't fall for it!!! If the text message was from Chase they would've sent me an email message as well, which I never received. The website in the text also said notices@chaseS.com. Notice how they put an "S" after Chase to make it seem like it was from Chase, but it's not. Don't fall for it guys. I called the number and they wanted my 16 digit card number. Are they stupid?!!! DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!!!! They would notify you over the phone or at least email you. Damn scammers.
Not falling for it 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
Don't bother to waste your time on that. It's a bunch of baloney. I wonder why people fall for stuff like this. Don't do it.
Blubo 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
Yes, they called me too on my cell phone. I would like to find them and poke them in the eye with a fork. Scammers for sure.
Puffi 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
Kendra, and anyone else. NO!! If you don't have anything or any business with them, NO, DO NOT CALL THEM BACK!! They count on naive people to call them and give them information. Even if you do have business with the company they are claiming to be representing (which anyone can do), call the company directly!! I HATE scammers!!
Puffi 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown
Oh yeah, caller ID said 'Eugenio Salager'
Keely 2011-06-06 20:43:10 Unknown

"my Chase account had an issue and to call 213-785-7725. from infonotices@mc.com."

Yes, I just got almost same text message in El Paso, TX. Thanks to others who started this thread!

Text Message to my cell in southeastern U.S.:
info@sprintpcs.com:EPPICardIssue. Dial : 2137857725
I (foolishly) called and got a recording asking me to provide (key in) information.
I terminated the call immediately.
I called the Sprint *2 -- very helpful -- took my information -- advised me not to deal with it -- probably a scam -- would block the number for me - would make sure there would be no illicit use of my number.

just got a txt on my cell:

Just received a text message from the same number stating I have a EEPICard Issue and to dial this number. It is a scam....
Lila 2011-02-14 21:25:01 Unknown
received text:

Received Text Message at 7:15pm on 2/13/11 reading
"E P P I C a rd Ac c o u n tI s s u e s. D i a l :2 1 3 7 8 5 7 7 2 5"
came from notice-eppi-1201@sprintpcs.com. I'm sure it's a scam because I don't have an EPPI Card. Phone number shows to be a landline # in Los Angeles, CA. I don't know any one from that area.
EPPI Card website warns to "please be aware that there are current reports of phishing emails, phone text messages, and vishing phone calls, intended to obtain personal and/or card information."

I got a similar text message...mine was EPPI Card Account issues. Dial 213 785 7725. Of course when I looked on the the message I immediately realized it must be some scam. I got my message @ 7:34pm and I am in Georgia. Some fool who thought all of us are fools. I hope they get caught.
kendra 2011-02-13 21:06:24 Unknown
Same as above..I'm in Seattle and with Verizon, msg sent a few hrs ago with partial account number stating there's an 'issue' with Chase MC, I don't have any chase accounts. Always makes you worried that someone has an account in your name, but I'm smart enough to check the numbers/info first. Thanks again to all who started this thread, this is what we need to stay ahead of the scams!

Got the same text message - I presume it some sort of scam!!!
ZSZ 2011-02-13 16:49:39 SMS
My wife and I both received the same text: CHASEAccount Issues. Dial (213)_785_7725. Sounds like we are all having been "visitied" by the same scam. While my wife has a Chase account, I do not.
Thanks for this website, I use it all the time. When in doubt I alway check here first

Yes, I just got the same text message in Seattle, on Verizon and I reported it. Thanks to others who started this thread!
John Connor 2011-02-13 00:51:36 Unknown
Same message as JohnC up above, exact same numbers. I don't even have Chase.
Cattlite 2011-02-12 23:59:02 Unknown
Got the same message as John C. I do bank with Chase and my card does start with a similar series. I was suspicious enough to call Chase and speak with C/S Jerry and IT Support Aaron. Both were helpful and confirming that it IS a scam text and not a legitimate phone number. They said that Chase would never put a number series in a text and all their numbers are (800).
JohnC 2011-02-12 23:52:08 Unknown
Amazing! I just got a the same text message from notices@chases.com just a few minutes ago.
Saying:
"C h a s e [ 5 3 7 1 7 0 X X ] M a s t e r C a r d
I s s u e s. D i a l: (213) 785 7725"
Funny thing is I don't have any chase accounts. AND it's coming into my cell number; a number I never use for accounts. What a scam.

I just got a the same text message from notices@chases.com just a few minutes ago.
Saying:
"C h a s e [ 5 3 7 1 7 0 X X ] M a s t e r C a r d
I s s u e s. D i a l: (213) 785 7725"
Funny thing is that I've received Chase text messages before and they look nothing like this one. Plus none of my Cards have a number anywhere close to the one in the text message.
I think i'll report this to Verizon and Chase.
