I did not pay him any thing, he did call my phone today and told me I have to call him today because he does not think he will be able to help me if I don't call him back. and I know they cant do any of this, but they called my place of work telling them personal information on me, so in the state of wis  u can be sued for that and u loss due to the privacy act. I do know my rights and they can go ahead and say what they want don't matter im not giving then jack crap, lol

YES - it's a scam!  NEVER pay anyone without first receiving a debt validation letter per the FDCPA (read it and learn your rights) via mail - not email or fax.  If you're being harassed about a debt and that caller refuses to send documentation that you owe that debt to them - they're scammers.  No proof of debt = no debt owed.

These scammers tell you they're an "officer" to make you think you're in trouble with the law.  No such animal - payday loans which have been defaulted on are civil matters, so no one is going to be arrested, or interrogated or such.  NEVER pay money to anyone who will not send via USPS mail (not email or fax) a debt validation letter proving you owe this debt to them.  Read the FDCPA and learn your rights as a consumer.

Got a call from Office Black. He stated he had a warrant for my arrest and to call him back. I had the attorney at my job call him. He wouldn't give any information to him said he didn't need to provide a reason. He had the wrong phone number and address for me so he had called my work number. Now What??? Is this a scam?

I got the same call from the same person saying the same thing. Saying I have to pay $172 by credit card, pre-paid card not person account. I know I owe the money so I contacted the place I got the payday loan from gave them the information I got from this guy just waiting on them to let me know if it is real or not, my gut tells me it is nothing but a big scam. Most payday loans don't have an officer call u telling you all the information like that.

this person called me telling me he was officer Black and was calling to collect on a payday loan, just wanting to know if anyone else has had this same person call.

Officer black called my husbands phone and left a detailed Voice mail message and qouted the last 4 of social and said he had a warrent for his arrest and if he didnt call them back that they would send a team of federal cops to my house and take him"my husband" and his two family members into custody in this investigation. I hate that this scam has happened to you all but I am glad that this idiot is being exposed. I wish i knew more information about this Officer Black guy.. Who in any federal agent calls your cell phone and leaves a voicemail like that... ridiculous. I hope we can put an end to all of this.

Something about some court tomorrow.
I figure if its real they will find me.

They called and left a message today. It was a foreigner claiming to be an officer and said if I did not call them back they would send an investigation team to my house and that I would be harshly interrogated. And they even verified the last 4 of my SSN. I've delt with this before they are foreign scam artist using magic jack to make it seem they are in the US. Do not i repeat DO NOT give them what they want. However if they do keep calling you can always answer FBI we are tracing this call and see how fast they hang up and block your number. Lol they use to harass me so I would call them multiple times a day an then after a while tell them the call had been traced and after a couple times they block your number and you usually can't call them blocked they use ur number to know who's calling and pull up whatever info they have of yours to try and seem "legit". Don't give any info but do mess with them. It's fun.

Officer Black contact my employer and told them I was going to be  arrested if I didn pay off a payday loan and wanted me to go to a western union to send the money

Someone named officer Douglas Black called my job told my supervisor that there was a warrant for my arrest in Los Angeles California and he needed me to call him ASAP 213-787-5012
