Im on do not call and the idiots call all the time.

"Vehicle Warranty Center.. how are you doing today?"

It is a company that identifies themselves as The Vehicle Warranty Center . . . a fraudulent telemarketing company.
I reported them to the FTC.  As everyone should (National Do Not Call Registry) when the FTC tracks them down they will be fined $11,000 per each call that is reported and will possibly do jail time if it is severe enough.

And they will get fined for the Fraudulent caller ID too!

So report them . . .

They are also using 213-788-7340 trying to sell me car warranty insurance.  I tell them that I sold the car, they keep calling tried calling back and the phone is not working.

I just got a call from 213-788-7340 with the same caller ID.

Bad peoples who keep calling.  They have earned a spot on my blocked list!

Wish they would stop calling me.

Consumers across the country report that they're getting telephone calls from people trying to collect on loans the consumers never received or on loans they did receive but for amounts they do not owe. Others are receiving calls from people seeking to recover on loans consumers received but where the creditors never authorized the callers to collect for them. So what's the story?

The Federal Trade Commission (FTC), the nation's consumer protection agency, is warning consumers to be on the alert for scam artists posing as debt collectors. It may be hard to tell the difference between a legitimate debt collector and a fake one. Sometimes a fake collector may even have some of your personal information, like a bank account number. A caller may be a fake debt collector if he:

is seeking payment on a debt for a loan you do not recognize;
refuses to give you a mailing address or phone number;
asks you for personal financial or sensitive information; or
exerts high pressure to try to scare you into paying, such as threatening to have you arrested or to report you to a law enforcement agency.

If you think that a caller may be a fake debt collector:
Ask the caller for his name, company, street address, and telephone number. Tell the caller that you refuse to discuss any debt until you get a written "validation notice." The notice must include the amount of the debt, the name of the creditor you owe, and your rights under the federal Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.
If a caller refuses to give you all of this information, do not pay! Paying a fake debt collector will not always make them go away. They may make up another debt to try to get more money from you.

Stop speaking with the caller. If you have the caller's address, send a letter demanding that the caller stop contacting you, and keep a copy for your files. By law, real debt collectors must stop calling you if you ask them to in writing.

Do not give the caller personal financial or other sensitive information. Never give out or confirm personal financial or other sensitive information like your bank account, credit card, or Social Security number unless you know whom you're dealing with. Scam artists, like fake debt collectors, can use your information to commit identity theft ? charging your existing credit cards, opening new credit card, checking, or savings accounts, writing fraudulent checks, or taking out loans in your name.

Contact your creditor. If the debt is legitimate ? but you think the collector may not be ? contact your creditor about the calls. Share the information you have about the suspicious calls and find out who, if anyone, the creditor has authorized to collect the debt.

Report the call. Contact the FTC and your state Attorney General's office with information about suspicious callers. Many states have their own debt collection laws in addition to the federal FDCPA. Your Attorney General's office can help you determine your rights under your state's law.>

I am tired of being harass by these scanners who has nothing better to do. They called me twice back to back. The second time they left a message about something about credit and going to court. It was a man with an foregien accent and the in the back groun i could hear a lot of people talking. i guess they were trying to scam someone else. the phone number appears as this at the top 2137887344 user. and at the bottom of the number is 213-788-7344

My home phone and cell are both listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST yet someone from this number has call my home 3 times today. Who is this and why are they calling??? Are they telemarketers??? Then the DO NOT CALL LIST is not working.

This phone number has called my home phone 3 times today and I have my home phone number as well as my cell number on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

It's telemarketing for college, there name is Degree Mentor located at Address: 331 S Rio Grande Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84101 Email: info@degreementor.com. Which I now believe is completely bogus I've tried to send them an email as well to tell them to stop and it comes back as failed. I'm on the Do Not Call list and they still keep calling me minimum of 3 times a day for the past two weeks I just ignore them, if it was important they would leave a message but it's dead air. I hope that they get the message that what they are doing is harassment and not appreciated at all.

I have asked this number to quit calling over a period of 2 months.  They continue to call.  They hang up on you when you ask them to quit calling.  It is not a number you can call back to.  I have reported them to donotcall.gov.  I am hoping something can put a stop to them.

When I answered the call, no one to day anything so I hang them up.

I am not sure why I have recieved the phone call regarding me expressing interest in further education.  I already have degree. Not sure if I have checked something on line, went to the wrong side or something else. I did not requested this phone call.

Received calls regarding furthering my education.

keeps calling several times a day. never leaves a message. getting very annoying.

This number called me 11 times in 1 1/2 hrs on a Saturday!! They called atleaast 5 times yesterday and have started calling again today!! Most of the time when I try to answer they hang up or no one is there. SICK OF THIS!!!!!

They have called me on my cellphone more than 5 times a day for the last two weeks. When I call back the line is busy. I added them to the reject list now I'm trying to get on their do not call list.

This number has been calling me off and on over the last 2 months with varying frequency.  Since I do not recognize it I do not answer it. They never leave a message.
