They've called me 4-6 times per day for the last week.  I finally blocked them using selective call blocking (*60).

Calling the number back, I get "The Republican National Committee."  These calls should stop after the election.

People-don't fall for this. This is a total scam. This Indian guy has somehow gotten a hold of personal information
and is now trying to exploit people into believing he is a debt collector. Personally, I simply do not answer the call.
He tries five times or so and then stops. A couple of months later he does another round of attempted calls.This is so bogus it is hilarious. I never did a payday loan nor any other loan for that matter. Be smart. Do not give this person any of your personal information and tell him, if you pick up the call, that you will be reporting him.

They claimed to be the Republican Party raising money for the Romney campaign. The caller transferred me to his "supervisor." His irritation with me for not wanting to give him credit card information was the tip off. I hung up and reported the number to the FTC.

They said they were the Republican Party raising money for the Romney campaign. Even if you're convinced they're for real, have them send something in the mail. NEVER give out your personal information, especially credit card information, to an unsolicited caller.

This guy called twice and I have reported to police after looking # up on internet.  I have blocked his call  Good reminder not to pick up phone when you do not recognize #  They will leave a message if important.

Are you registered with www.donotcall.gov? If so, report them. If not, register. These type calls slowed way down when I started reporting them.

Calls us constantly.  I do not answer the phone, as I don't recognize the number, and they never leave a message.  This is getting OLD OLD OLD.

The number has been calling daily for a couple of weeks at about the same time of day.  I have a wire phone and my friend has a cell,  a couple of days ago I received the call and my friend the same call about 30 seconds later.  We don't answer unknown callers and no messages were left.  This scam has a big computer and database.  Check you financial accounts.

We've been receiving calls from this number almost everyday for the past few months and never answered them.  It appears to be from the L.A. area.

The caller stated that he was fundraising for the republican party and requested a donation.

Man called. Said that I was going to prison for not repaying a payday loan company. Wanted me to pay them $634. SCAM!!!

im the employee that this happened too...and i thank my boss for helping with the situation..the guy called my boyfriends phone and then called my job...so i called the number back and the indian guy said he worked for some attorney general in california and that i had to write a letter to a mark brown and send him all my account information. and i got so nervous i was gonna do it until i talked to my boss and she stopped me from sending this man all my information.

OMG i just got this call at work. they called my work number. and started yelling at one of my co-workers to speak to me. they told him that he could not speak to me. The man apprentally had a thick indian accent. i don't owe on a loan and i never give my work number out. plus its a NY number. thank god i looked it up. I did call the number he left and all it said was this destination is unreachable right now and hung up on me.

an employee at our work here had the same thing. She almost sent the money until she mentioned it to me and I stopped her.
She did have a loan day loan, but I had her call them direct. They confirmed it wasn't them. They do not out source their collections. We reported it to the FBI and you
can call the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance. Or whatever state you're in.

OoOoOoh my gosh! i've got the same EXACT thing happen to me this morning. I can't believe it. I figured I'd do some research on this number and see where it lead me and my goodness.. I can't believe it. The things people do to make money i tell you. Thank you guys for posting this up. He almost got me too. He had my social security & my bank account number and everything. he even knew where i lived. how crazy is that. Thank you though to everyone.

i just got the same call to i live in las vegas, the funny thing is i would never be dumb enough to get a pay day loan online!  how and where do u file a complaint?

Call from an Indian man.  Left a voicemail saying if I didn't call back immediately, all I could do was watch the legal situation unfold upon me.  I called back to see what it was all about and he said I owed on a defaulted cash advance loan.  I have never had a cash advance.  He had the last four digits of my social security number and my ENTIRE checking account number.  I told him that I thought it was a scam and he started yelling at me.  He said I would be arrested at 11 the next day and hung up.  After doing some research online, I found out it is, in fact, a scam.  Ignore this numbers and all others like it!  I have been in touch with the police and filed a complaint with the FBI.  Scumbags like this need to be stopped!
