I had the same problem, but he said he was an attorney for the federal agency, his name was Jake Cruz. I told him that I had an attorney and that he would contact him in the morning.  He said they don't work with an attorney, that he was going to freeze by bank account, have my driver's license revoked and get me fired from my job.  When my Attorney called he would not answer the phone.  I called him this evening and told him since he can't talk to my attorney when he calls and he won't call my attorney, that he better not call any more, either my cell or work number or I would press charges for harassment.

I am getting harrassing phone calls from this number by a foriegn man whose name happens to be john smith says he is legal and if i do not take his offer he wishes me luck because he does not know what will happen to me

Listen do not put your stuff up online. If he calls you back tell him god does not like people that do this. there very high believe of god. and once you say this he will not call you anylonger. yes he will for others but not you . sorry this is happening but this is how they get us. so dont worry about your bank and stuff they kno if they touch it they will get caught thats why they want you to buy reload cards to pay them and not your bank. but if you do use your bank have your bank track the account were it went. good luck to you all. we will get them one day and when we do haha we will hit them hard

I received many calls from this same number and yes he sounded like he was from india but when we called he threatened my husband saying he was going to kill him and yelled at me because I didn't believe  me

Got the same call from same number and he called my work and cell phone had all my personal info how do I stop this I don't have any loans out?

I got the same call every 5 minutes they leave a message because if I dont recognize a number I dont answer it.  saying the same thing but my son will be arrested for not paying.  he is under age.  some how they got his name and social security number.  and I got the same call and asked for me saying I will be arrested so I called the fbi in cincinnati and the ftc in washington .  they had many reports I will not send them money or any information they can just come and arrest me.  they r from another country and also the law firm in the background isn't that noisy so that tells me it is from a net cafe from africa or india.  those people r desperate for money for their families.  I tell them to get a job and work like everybody else instead of scamming good people out of money every day.  please dont send them any money

A man name Daniel keeps on calling me from this number and he said he was calling from a legal firm. He also asked me if I had an attorney. He said if I don't pay $118 in 45 minutes (when I was on the phone with him) the cops are gonna come to my place of employment and arrest me. I won't lie, for a minute I was scared but then I looked this number up that keeps calling me from Los Angeles, CA and I see its some type of scam. My father even got on the phone with him and he was very hostile and we could barely understand what he was saying because of his heavy accent. My father questioned him just like I did and Daniel ended up hanging up on my father. This kind of stuff is ridiculous and needs to stop! God Bless them and thank you.

I did not approve  for online loan and now they said they have all my infor. They want money from me to take care of this? Something is up its wrong I wont go for it . they have no prove of this, ON LINE LOAN SHOULD NOT BE ON ARE INTERNET>biteme

Just received my call and they wanted me to go to CVS and get a prepaid $500 card to pay them or I would be arrest within 30 minutes. Well guess what? I'm still here after 2hrs. They tried with me once before about 9 months ago to the point where my company called the cops so they could witness how they were harassing about 1/3 of the employees and blocking all lines. It was the same Daniel Smith from the previous number and company

this man with an indian accent called me trying to tell me that i have law suits against me then i hung up and he called back several times trying to verify my ssn. i then told him to stop calling or i was going to contact local authorities and have them deal with them. i then called him back and asked him some questions and he said he was out to scam people

Got the sand call...  I reported them to the FTC...  Left me a message telling me to have my attorney call and if i didn't all he could wish me was good luck..   I called back and left him a message and said oh you can bet your A** if you call this number one more time and threaten me with nonsense I will have my attorney call you back cause guess what I am one-

Beside threatening people on the phone about calling the police for not giving them money sounds like they were doing things with kids in the background.. Maybe a sex slave shop or something..

He call me with three charges saying that he was with the state of California attorneys office Atty. Gen.'s office and he never got to the point with the asking for money he said he was going to cancel my SSN AND DRIVERS license I knew they just want to doublecheck here so tomorrow or even right now if I  want to and have some fun with them we all should do that

I.have had.a.call several times from this phone number they have even went so far as calling my work I work at a behavioral center they called my.cell phone number several times they.told me I was going to.go to.jail for.check.deception and fraud but they would clear the whole case if I.paid them 200 dollars I.went to my local police department to.file harassment charges and they only told me to call the attorney general which h it.was Friday night and the attorney general is not open passed I belive 5:30 they even told me that they would send the "911 people to my work Monday morning" and I have online banking theses people knew where I work my home address

Don't worry, it is a scam.  First, you probably never even took out the loan.  Second, the US government does not "get" anyone for debts, they are civil, not criminal, issues.  Third, no one warns you about a lawsuit.  You get a notice from the Office of the Clerk of Courts (often via certified mail)

I receieved a phone phone call from 213-807-3934 he left a message and said his name was John Harris. The message was if I didnt call them back before 5pm he would file legal charges against me and i would go to jail. I called the number back a man with an indian accent answered saying it was Alex Cruz law firm. I asked for his fax number he asked me what was I going to fax the daily prayer? Once I replied no I'm faxing a letter from my attorney he said that's what I thought and he hung the phone up. they also called me at work with the same message and said may God bless me with this situation. Really????

I received a call from 213-807-3934 California. It was someone I could hardly understand. He stated my name the last 4 of my ss and my bank and said I am a lawyer and work for the federal government and there is a lawsuit on u. I kept asking what the law suit was for. He just mumbled and I couldnt understand what he was saying. I said hold on, I know someone who works in Washington Dc with the FBI so let me give them a call. He hung up. Of course I called back. I said the FBI has all the info they need and u are a fraud. Upon investigation u can be deported or serve prison time for identity fraud and identity theft if u do not release ur name, the name of ur company and ur supervisor. He kept mumbling and didn't want to say his name or company.  I said hold on let me get my friend from the FBI back on the phone. He said no, no, no, I can't be deported I so sorry I not call u back. People please beware.THIS IS A SCAM

Same story with me.  WHEN will these people be stopped?  They keep calling me.

Received two calls and voicemails today from this number. Each time they stated that I owed them money and should not disregard the call, as it is "time-sensitive and could lead to criminal charges". I just called back and told them that they need to stop calling me. He responded with, "Okay sir, goodbye and thank you." So...not as bad as I thought it'd be.

its a complete scam ! i have some indian claiming his name is JOHN BROWN  but cant pronounce SMITH !
He says there are  criminal charges against me ohhh wow that is really Scaring a 2 time convicted felon charges   and i will add has called back 16 times in less than 10 minutes to extort money from me to "MAKE CHARGES GO AWAY "

i had to block this phone number  from calling  me  a man called and said that i need to pay 350.00 or go to jail and a law suit  was going to be took out i would have to set in jail for 30 days i owed them for a online loan

This number keeps calling my phone numerous times a day. I don't answer, now that I read all these comments, I'm going to answer next time they call an tell them off!

Print off this page and give it to your HR Dept or manager - have the local police also let your work know that you are the victim of harassment by scammers.  What are your bosses going to do?  Fire everyone who is getting these calls?  You can't help if you're being harassed.  

Next time these scammers call, whoever answers the phone needs to tell them that the FBI is monitoring and tracing all calls they make to you - scammers don't like this.  You MUST tell them this every. single. time. that they call you.  

DO report the calls to the FTC, the FBI and your state's Attorney General.  There isn't much they can do if the callers are outwith the US, however, you can also let your work know that these agencies get reports every day from many people also being harassed by the same scammers.

Same here, There has to be a way to stop this crap. 1 more call at work and I'm out of a job and no way to take care of my 5 kids. Does any one have any info on how to stop this? PLEASE HELP I cant loos my job or can anyone else
