What do i do? It gets annoying asf

Wanted to inform me of a grant awarded to people who pay their taxes on time. 4 the call in 2 weeks. I asked for their info and they asked if they could call back. I told them I would have the government or the police call them back. Very persistent  and asked for my birthdays and  I slammed down the phone. GOT AN IMMEDIATE CALL FROM AN UNKNOWN CALLER. I have signed up for all no call lists and contacted police.

I received a call from them today informing me that I have been selected by the US government to receive $7,849 for not being late on my taxes and not having a criminal record.  As I have seen with the other comments, I was promised the same thing, but never a mention of paying any money for the grant.  I am very sceptic of calls such as this and would like to say that people who call asking for bank information....don't waste your time with me!!!

I just got a call from this number. His english seemed a little off, and he had an indian or perhaps mexican accent, and actually was not offering me any job opportunities, but telling me I'm his girlfriend, and that he loves and misses me, AND recalled me by my first name every time he said I was his girlfriend. He would never say who he was, but after I told him to hang up immediately, he claimed straight away he was "only joking" "Just joke!" Creepy fella, if ya ask me...

Second call since Friday. Same woman. First time she called (thick Indian Accent) she told me she was calling from the US Federal Grant Systems for Health & Human Services. I told her not to call me as she was calling illegally and this was a scam. By the time I got to "and this is a scam" she had hung up. She just called again and I told her again she was calling illegally. She hung up.

You're probably the DUMBASS running this scam...yeah like I'm gonna believe that one....you gotta do better than that!!!!

I got this case telling me I got a 7k grant. Told him to stop calling my cell.  He told me he's not going to stop calling that he is going to call and call.  Asked to speak to him manager he told me that he will never give me a manager that he is going to call and call.  He hung up then called back 3 times froma nblocked #

I just got the same call, same thick accented guy claiming to be from the US government and that my "name and phone number have been selected to receive a government grant of $7000." I knew immediately it was a scam, so I told him, "No thank you, I don't need it. Please take my name off this calling list." The government is not going to just call around and give random people money!

Calls numerous times, don't know it telemarketer or a scam so won't answer.  I am on a no call list so don't appreciate these calls. Please leave me alone.

I got a call from a drunk guy who had a very thick accent saying very very perverted things and telling me what he wanted to do to me sexually it is very scary and I will be reporting the number and save the message for them to listen to. I can't call the number back its not in service

I received a call from this number and was immediately hanged up on. Not only are these calls worrisome but happen often from different numbers. I wish I knew who the h*** it is who is doing this. If anyone finds out please inform the rest of us.

I got a call from a guy with a thick Indian accent, Frank, telling me I with chosen to receive a grant tax free because I had paid my taxes he said I was eligible to receive $7649.00 to my banking account or credit card or to a blank store bought visa card.  I told him I had been called before and he said I would have to decide where I wanted the money from the federal government he said he was calling from Washington DC--he needed the info now I told him I didn't have a blank visa card but could get one in a few days he then ask if I wanted my account put on hold and he or someone will call back to put the money on the  blank visa it would be sent electronically--I believe this is a CON.  Please do not give out any information always Google these phone numbers this one is from California. These people will call more than once so put out your experiences.

Received a call from this number.  Asked the caller to tell me his name and company he was calling from.  Had to ask three times, and the guy said I've told you 3 times.  I told him that if he was rude again, I'd hang up.  He told me he was calling from the Federal government grant program and that I was chosen to receive a $7000 grant and would never have to repay it.  I laughed, he asked why, told it was a scam like all the rest the callers.  Told me to F--- Off, then F--- my A** and then hung up.  Don't answer these calls

the same man called me a few minutes ago and i could barely understand him with all the noise in the back. Wheb i said im confused and how was i picked he told me to go to hell twice and hung up

I GOT PHONE CALL AT 12.14 PM,SAYING I WAS GOING TO RECEIVE GOV. GRANT ITS FRAUD DON'T FALL INTO IT

I made what I thought was a job application and have been receiving calls from random numbers trying to sell me loans for education and the like.  This was another in a long line of calls from that mistake.  This was a heavily accented man that asked for Joe.  

I just got a call from them saying the same thing I just hung up. That's a scam if I ever saw one

Hi the same scenario just happened to me about 30 seconds ago. Im wondering if you could tell me if you found out any further details about where they could have found out our name and address from? I'm usually careful about which websites I put my phone number and address on so I'm a little creeped out. Please just let me know if you found out how they got your information! Thanks!

This person called me and said i was approved a government grant of about 7000 and it could only be directly deposited to my bank so he kept asking for my information. I declined. I asked my school to confirm and this is a scam.

I also have been applying for employment on line and receiving the same call as you. You think we would have enough to deal with being unemployed without this kind of crap. I have a number locater service and it could not locate the source of the number. I usually do not answer the phone if I do not recognize the number, but now I have to for it could be a possible job.

Hi, I tell these Indian\Pakistan losers to go pork a cow or JO into heir boxer shorts.  They hang up, how rude, they called me!!!  :-)  LOL!  What I do is add their number to my contacts as Do Not Answer or SCAM, in tis Government Loan.  In case these cowporkers did NOT get the message, Uncle Sam is like 17 Trillion in the hole so like broke!

same happened to me. I played with him long time questioning about the grant. I also asked about what information they had, told me that I was from NM and I told him that I was from NY then started yelling the F word.

I got a call today (3/6/13)  8:07am saying the govt is offering $7k on grant money to pay any debts, home improvement or vacation and that he is calling from US govt office. The calller had middleeastern accent.  Wanted to verify my name and address.  I asked him how do I know if he really works for US Govt.  I told him govt just dont give money like that .  I ask him to send sometime in writing in mail and he HANGS Up the phone.  Sounds like a scam  to me.

This same number has been calling also i can not return any calls

How can I tell this is true? Well, only illiterate scammers are ignorant enough to post "300$" or "7 grand". There are no government grants or loans that require a payment up-front. As a matter of fact, advance fee loans (or "grants") are illegal in the U.S.

I know their a scam but the funny thing about it is my friend send them 300$ and they send him 7 grand in one week. Once in a trillion I still wouldn't take the chance, unless you have 300$ to throw a way.
