IT'S 100% A SCAM.  Real Credit Card company will truly identify themselves and allow you to contact the real company independently.   Instead of using the bogus number they give you.  Every time you signed up for a credit card from a legitimate company and received a credit card..  The card company send you an agreement form.  These form contain the real contact information.  

These caller are trying to impersonate a company.  They are known as con artist.  They are trying to get you to give out your personal information including bank accounts, credit accounts, telephone accounts, so they can steal your valuable at a later date and or bill you. All of these information they get from you are public information.  They will used that to gain access to your personal information.

They are using gift card as a bait to steal your private info.

Now I am not answering calls from this number and I got a voice mail saying:  "I am really going to kill you, I am really going to kill you, I am really going to kill you, I am really going to kill you, you stupid Christian Catholic!."  I am calling the police!

I keep getting calls from this number asking me if I or anyone in the household is a diabetic.  When I asked who they were and how they got my number, they refused to give me any information.  I asked to talk to a superviser and was told that the person I was talking to was a supervisor.  I then asked to be removed from the list, and was told if I didn't want telephone calls I should trash my telephone.

me and my family were sleeping and this number called us at 4:15 in the morning. i tried to ask what the company was and if i could speak to the boss but she hung up.

I got a call from this number this afternoon and they were trying to sell Diabetic Supplies.

They got your credit card info from either a receipt or stolen company info either from VISA, Wells Fargo or Wachovia.  They have the last 4 of a credit card I haven't used in three years. I received several hangup phone calls.  At 8:15 AM this morning I finally got a live person who wanted to give me some bull credit voucher.  I was told they are Global Marketing in Florida.  When I pressed them for their contact information they hung up.  I have contacted Wells Fargo, Wachovia and Verizon.   I have put in fraud complaints at all three companies.  I am on the cell phone DO NOT CALL LIST.  Verizon agreed these calls are of a harassing nature and put a block on (214) 214-0002.  Verizon added a free feature to go straight to phone mail for any UNKNOWN callers to avoid this in the future.  I also notified
LIFELOCK.  Everyone out there who reads this:  DO NOT GIVE ANY INFORMATION OVER THE PHONE UNLESS YOU INITIATED THE CALL AND KNOW WHO YOU ARE GIVING THE INFORMATION TO.  I hope what I have done will give you all peace and quiet.  GOD BLESS AMERICAN CONSERVATIVES!

Same thing for me - talking about rewards from Visa - asking for my personal information When I questioned him more about this he hung up.

I got a call from a lady at this number saying I won 100 dollars in gift cards for using my my MasterCard . She knew my first and last name. I said "do not call this number again!" and she kept asking: "but why?".  Last time I received a similar call from 479-284-8989, my credit card info was stolen.

Got a call from this number but know one was on the other end.

I keep getting a call from this number. I answer than they hang up. I try to call back and get busy.. How do I stop them???

Same as everyone else.  told me i won $100 gift card.

These people called my cell phone yesterday, told me that my husband was a valued customer of Global something? for using he credit card and was sending out a gift card. He asked me if I was aware of a store called Walmart.... (what??) When I told them he was not home, they asked if I was his spouse and they then wanted my information. I told him that he didn't need to know my information if he was sending a gift card to my husband for target/walmart etc, if he knew the address then they can send it to him. I then hung up. 30 minutes later the same number came up on my phone, when I answered I heard nothing, then they hung up. Person calling was not American. Its a scam!!!! What company calls someone elses personal cell phone for someone else, (if they're not a debt collector) not only that, what American has never heard of Walmart? Since when did OTHER companies besides the ones you're spending your money with offer a gift card for a different retail store. Macy's sure doesn't give gift cards for Sears.

I hope this is not an identity theft thing.

I keep being called at all hours by 214-214-0002.  I call it back, "nonworking number".  How to stop it?

Hello?I am a member of XXXXX Credit Union and I received a telephone call tonight (Tuesday, August 16, 2011) from the telephone number (214) 214-0002 stating they wanted to send me a free $100 gift card as their appreciation for being a customer in regards to my ?credit card ending in ****?. I immediately became concerned with this call that came in at 9:45 at night. I asked her how she was affiliated with the bank that owned this particular card and she stated she was a ?rewards? company called ?U.S. something? and all she had was the last four digits of my account information, my first and last name and address.

She repeated my address and asked me to verify if that was the correct address. I said yes. Then she said that she needed me to go through one last verification step ?to make sure that all the information gets to the right place.? She asked me to state my first and last name. I told her she know it because she addressed me by it when she called. She insisted that I repeat and state my name and I insisted that I wasn?t going to because my suspicions were up by the cold call this late at night to my cellular phone at that. Why I find that interesting is that 1.) the account ending **** was closed months ago when the credit union transitioned to a new card processor and 2.) the number they called tonight is my NEW cellular phone number that was turned on AFTER the account changed the card over.

I did hang up on this caller after the insistence that I repeat my name to her. She never did identify her name. I did repeat several times that I was very skeptical of this call.

I also sent a copy of this message to the Attorney General of Michigan for the potential investigation of the calling company for fraud.

Ive gotten at least a dozen calls from this number. They need to execute all telemarketers. it should be made into a crime punishable by hanging !

I got a call from a lady at this number saying I won 100 dollars in gift cards for using my my Visa card ending in **** ( which was the correct number) then proceeded to ask me if I still lived at my current address which they also had correct. I asked how did I win this they said because I used my  Visa card I  then proceeded to ask what company she was with and lady said " we are the company your Visa card is threw) then went right back to saying that she was going to send me a free gift also along with my gift cards. I told her no I didn't want it, She started to get upset and said but you already won, I again repeated that I did not want anything and that it sounded like Fraud, and her next comment was " i do not understand what in the hell you mean" to which I hung up called my bank reported the number and canceled my card. Currently waiting on a new debit card as we speak.

I keep getting calls, but have yet to have a person on the line.  At least now I know to set it in my phone as "DO NOT ANSWER", which I normally reserve for idiots and exes.

I keep getting calls from this number also.  It's pretty bad when I could google to number, and it brought me to this website where all of you people have been complaining too!  This time they brought up my walmart card, but then hung up.  I had to spend 20min of my valuable time talking to walmart to make sure that my account was not being tampered with.  This is ridiculous!

called me to say i had been awarded a $100 target card knew my name and last 4 of my debit card. stated that i was a valued customer that this was not a scam  that i did not need to purchase anything. did ask me questions like i'm sure you've shopped at target,walmart etc i spoke yes and she spelled it back to me. feeling like it might be scam.

I get a call from this number like 5 times a day and when there is a person there which is only half the time they ask for someone else, not even myself or my husband and when I say that they have the wrong number, before I get the chance to even tell them to please stop calling they hang up on me and you cant return the call. I am also on the no call list and this is a brand new phone line. Not many people have this phone number so it rings about 10 times a day and about 99.9% of the time it is this number! How do I get them to stop calling!?!?!

I just got a call from someone who was interested in a car I had posted on AutoTrader.  He said his name was RJ.  When I asked him if this was a sales call he replied, "I am a private person" and hung up the phone on me.  I am located in Southern California, nowhere near Dallas, Texas.

it's a stupid telemarketer calling about visa awards even if you don't own one. They call me all the time from different numbers(I don't have a visa)..this one is the most recent. But yeah they will blow up your phone I almost got my number switched because of it. Stupid f****ng companies...I hate scams it's sad this is the only way america can supply people with jobs. Just tell them to take you off their call list or curse them out..I have no idea what else to do anymore they'll just find you again lol

I have received calls from this number 3x today between 1030am and 1000pm and once yesterday at noon.  When I answer there is no one on the line and if I try to call back it says the call cannot be completed...has been disconnected or it wont dial it at all.  I have no idea what these calls are about.

Called me to inquire about a car I had for sale on Cars.com. Proceeded through the call acting like an interested buyer but then it turned out that the guy was a rep for a company offering to advertise the car and provide other services.

I tried to tell them I wasn't interested but he insisted on telling me about further services. I tried again to show no interested but he continued to press me so I hung up.
