3/1 silent caller. I have no idea who this could be. Probably friends of the other 800 callers who I no longer answer. There people refuse to take "wrong number" as legit & continually phone.
UNAS may stand for unanswered

They did not leave message on Ans machine.

A call for my wife-- I thought she was home, so I went to look for her, but she'd left.  I said she was gone and asked who was calling?  The voice said,
that's all right."  and silence.  I asked if they were ashamed of themselves, but no response.  I called the number back and got a recording saying,
"Thank you for calling the Breast cancer prevention fund."  But the number was from 425-648-9447.  I found this number from googling UNAS and breast cancer prevention fund.  I think UNAS is a for profit organization that solicits funds for charities and gives the charity a small slice of the proceeds.

This is a scam.  The number is located in Euless, TX which is in the Dallas TX area.  They claim to be with a breast cancer organization.  They aren't, they are a scam.

We got a call from them at 8:00 pm but didn't respond when we answered.  I called back the numbr and an answering machine states that they are the Breast Cancer Prevention Fund (BCPF), who have been harassing us in the past using a different phone number and caller id.  When prompted to leave a message or even donate, the answering machine says it is full.

Looking up on the California Attorney General's website, the BCPF is based in Washington State and does not have a 990 form (which is required of non-religious non-profits).  They have all the characteristics of being a scam mascarading as a non-profit to collect peoples" money.  It is interesting that they have been using the 1-916-313-4211 only in the last month and are using the caller id "UNAS". The earlier phone number and caller id "BCRF" were tagged by websites such as this one.  They are trying their best to be deceptive.

The "lady" from UNAS called our home on called March 7, 2009.  She asked me if I would like to donate money towards somebody else’s mammogram  who could not afford it.  I told her NO!  My husband, who just found out that HE has cancer and is dealing with it HIMSELF; he suggested that SHE call Obama since he is going to take care of everyone from the Womb to the Tomb with OUR tax money anyway.  So---in essence, we have already donated and so will our grandchildren. Don't feel bad about saying NO--my fellow Americans!  JUST SAY NO!!!!

I've gotten calls from this no. on occasion.   There is never anyone on the line or, they will not say anything...

I get calls from UNAS all the time! They are driving me nuts! They won't talk, they just call and stay silent (I can hear background noise) then hang up. It is getting to be once a day. The number that they are calling from is:

She is very pushy. Asked if I had received their donation materials and I answered no. She then told me to go look for them and I told her again that I had not received the stuff. She said she would send stuff again and for me to put it in the mail right away.  Is this a legit non-profit?

I actually fell for it when they called and told them that I would send in a donation.  I have several friends and family that have had breast cancer.  Some survivors and some not so fortunate. But, when the "Collection Calls" started I knew they where not legit! I have Lupus and got really sick before I recieved their "billing" which turns out to be really a blessing now.  I have experienced everything that the people above have but that have also come across completely 'out of the area' on our phone.  Also, the UNAS???? Thank you so much for this sight and for the verification of my suspicions.

The lady wants donations for Breast Cancer Org. but won't send you any info about it. Also says they can't send out any donation cards without a dollar amount filled in. Lady said she was in Washington but caller ID shows around the Dallas, Texas area.She also gets perturbed when you start asking questions.

There was no one on the line. I called the number back and received an answering machine for The Breast Cancer Prevention Fund. How they came up with UNAS I have no clue.

Received several calls from UNAS(???). I answered a couple of times, with no response at the other end.  Thereafter, I let the answering machine answer, but UNAS leaves no messages. I called the number back, and what the recording says, is that they are offering free breast exams!!  Imagine that!!!

Glad I found out what they are.   They keep calling usually They called here several time over pas coulpe  of moonth.  I always let the machine answer.

Calls a few times a month.Comes on caller I.D. as Texas call? Never answer.

I wonder if doing calls via internet / cable as a regular line would cost them a bunch. Over the month or two have had a bunch of which I never answer and no message on machine

Answered, they hung up... guess they won't be getting donated funds that way.  I called back and it is the Breast Cancer Prevention Fund.

If its a scam, its a well orchastrated one: www.breastcancerpreventionfund.org.  No one here even mentioned the info available here or on a number linked sites.    Its understandble to question it because of the scams out there, but in this case I think they are real. Please prove me wrong, otherwise I'll help pay for a mammogram.

Saw this on my caller ID.  Wasn't here to answer.  UNAS 214-233-7242.  Googled to find out who they are.  Now I see a lot of others have, too.  I have been getting calls from a wide range of scammer numbers almost every day for months!  What is going on?  We're probably all on the do not call list, but keep getting these calls from all of these stupid people and their made up phone numbers.  I have reported several to the National Do Not Call List site..don't know if it does any good.  Seems like I just get another call form some other new number to replace it if they don't call back again.

They (UNAS) phoned last night (3/10/09) and again this morning. They left no message on the voice mail last night and disconnected when I answered this morning. I immediately called the number back and received a recording that the number was incorrect, to check the number and try the call again. I did - and got the same recording even after verifying I punched in the right numbers. Wish something could be done to stop this! Anyone with any ideas - please advise!!
