I've been getting a bunch of calls to my cellphone, which is decidedly offlimits to telemarketers, despite repeated requests to be taken off their call list.  I have already filed several complaints on the FTC website and will continue to do so with each subsequent call.  I understand the FTC is understaffed in enforcing this, and it sounds like they can only respond to the issues which generate the most noise.  So my suggestion is that you log a complaint on the Do Not Call website (link is in earlier posting above) each and every time you get a call from these people.  

I might also suggest you voice your concerns to your appropriate elected officials (US Representative and Senators for starters)

Just received a call from this number claiming to be Manta, which is a online company that i work with and know since I've spoken to them on the phone before. Totally spamming me and trying to get me to pay for something in order to get my credit card number. And it was a completely NASTY and insulting guy that called me. Don't fall for this scam!

Got a call today from this number saying he was calling from Manta.  I recently signed up with Manta for some internet advertising.  The offer was $5 for a lifetime premium membership.  It took awhile to get around to that and I asked him the get to the point.  He asked me if I was inturrupting him.  I said yes, which seemed to surprise him.  I told him I wasn't interested.  He became increasingly aggressive, told me to shut up and eventually said FU a few times.  I didn't swear, but I did call him a retard after the unprovoked FUs.  Is that so wrong?  I wrote to Manta and told them to cancel my service and listen to that call.  They said it's not their number and they didn't call me today.  Glad I didn't give any info.

Caller claimed to be verifying a my business listing on a search site and offered to bump the listing.g to the front pages of search engines, all for a fabulous one time cost of $5.  Suspecting a scam I asked him to email the offer for review. He refused and got argumentative. I hung up.

Yes, it would not ring when I called it either.. the phone call came from Georgina (sounded more like George.. whatever) anyway, she said she was from Vistaprint.. I knew she wasn't and called her on it, and wow, was she rude!!

I just received a call from this number marked as out of area.   Upon doing a google search it traces to Texas. The individual calling stated that they were confirming my listing in a particular directory to make sure that all the information was correct.   At first I cooperated because indeed I am listed with the directory they said they were working for.   However, when I asked for what reason they needed this information, they replied "several customers have called asking for my services and they wanted to make sure they had it correctly".   I found this odd because customers can contact me directly through the directory.   Doubly odd, because if the information they had was not correct, there is no way for them to make changes in the site - only I can do that.   When I questioned the caller about this the caller became very upset, told me I was rude and would never get any customers and hang-up.

I think they're using craigslist to collect numbers. Responded to an ad and an hour later got a call asking if I
wanted to be on a national yellow pages list. Knew it was shady because they didn't have my last name.

Received a call from this number that is marked as unknown on the caller id. Said they were calling in regards to a directory I had registered with earlier in the day. Trying to get me to use their services so that I would be present and on the first pages of other major directories. When I asked if it was to confirm my order from earlier they said it was in regards to it and kept saying all the things I would get. When I asked how much more this was going to be he said five dollars  and a one time fee of I think $12.95  I can't be for sure on the latter as I was already in the process of interrupting him again and asking for the name of the company and He said again I am calling in regards to Your order earlier today. I said okay well then e-mail or mail me the information in writing in order for me to review the information and make an informative decision after some comparisons. He asked why I wanted him to do that, I said again, I want it sent in writing and I will review the information and if it is something I want to go with I will contact you Back. He then proceeded to say well we will send you all your information once you have paid the one time fee. At this point I again repeated just send it to me in writing, He hung up on me with no professional good bye...
I will be watching my account you can bet your sweet tush if I have charges come up further investigation will be done.

This company that calls you is a call center in Manila Philippines.  They will hire mostly 18 to 25 year olds to make the calls.  They will make around $250 a month on average. They are outsourced to do the cold calling for Direct Buy.  They probably do not know about or honor the DNC List.  It is better for you to complain directlry to Direct Buy or your BBB.

Got calls 7:39pm and 7:59pm on recorder.  Says its from company: v07310859xxxxxx and v07310839xxxxxx on read out and this phone number on next screen.  No messages left either time.

I've received calls from this number nemerous times and do you know if this is a telemarketing call or someone individual?

Its a person trying to get you to show up at a Direct Buy store for a home make over prize. Its so they can get you in the door.

Well doesn't everyone want something for nothing?  If you ever have bought a lottery ticket, the chances are one in several million.  The chances of winning the home makeover is 1:700,000 the chances in winning a new side by side fridge is 1:50,000 60" DLP 3D Mitsubishi TV 1:50,000 or a $500 American Express card 1:50,000    HOWEVER for giving 90 minutes of your time, you get $100 dining card for a nice, free meal at several high end restaurants.

I have reported them to the National Do Not Call Registry twice now. Each call was from a different #. The list they bought is an incomplete list, as they ask for me by the wrong name.

Same situation as the others described, asked for a name that was not associated with the phone number, then began to describe a free $15,000 home makeover.  Since virtually no one has my phone number, I suspected it was some kind of telemarketer and I quickly ended the call.

These people are persistent and very rude.  Told me I didn't show up for my 4:30 appt, when they had talked to my husband and not me in the first place.  I really wish they would stop calling, even after I have told them repeatedly that we do not qualify.

I'm getting a call weekly from this number on my new cell number and Im on the DNC list i never answer phone They even call me on Sundays here in Rockwall.

They have been calling daily -- and never leave a message.  Made the mistake of answering the call one day and someone called me by another name and asked if I were interested in a room makeover contest.  I asked is this a sales call.  She said oh no, m'am.  I barked at her I was on the DNC registry and to remove my number from her list.  She apologized and hung up.  What a PITA.

They have called my cell several times now but I have not answered and they do not leave a message. I just called them back and some crazy sounding lady said "we did not call you"...I said yes you did on a cell phone. She said "we misdialed a number sorry"...and she was yelling at me? I thought it was interesting that they never asked for my cell number or the number they called. Obnixious rude @ss people. How dare them yell at me.
