I received a phone call from this number.  It makes me wonder if they can tap phones.  I have an insurance claim right now for a car accident.  This person left a message saying that they are calling about an insurance claim.  As I was reviewing the message, I received a phone call from my actual insurance company.  Co-incidental???  I think not.  I hate liars!

Got a call and they didn't leave a message.  I now know to just ignore them.  I am having a hard time paying my bills but I am currently up to date, so they shouldn't be calling me.  If they were calling about a family member I am going to ask her (it's always the same one) to stop putting me down as a reference because I don't want anymore of these calls.

Just checked my missed calls for my home phone that I never use and had a missed call from these people. I don't have any debt or car/property that is not paid for so no idea who they are trying to call but it is not me. I get calls for someone else all the time so perhaps for her. I am annoyed by all the calls I get from places like this that are not legit or verified. At least harass the right person.

Thank you.  I've already contacted my local PD, Social Security, my attorney, and my bank.  We don't carry any credit cards, which is good, or else they'd have this info too.

I'm looking into filing charges against this company, for harrassment and invasion of privicy.  I'm not the type of person that "sues" everyone and their brothers, but I don't like knowing that this company can do anything with my info they want.

Happy Holidays to you and yours.

My heart goes out to you. Don't US citizens have a right to privacy and protection under the law against unreasonable search and seizure? Since these people are following you and know all of your details, have you contacted the police and Social Security to see what they can do? Also, just in case these people are scam artists (there have been some very aggressive ones reported on this site) have you been monitoring your phone records, bank account and credit reports for fraudulent transactions?
How are these people to talk to? Have you had a friendly discussion with them and tried to resolve matters? Were they approachable or just plain nasty? If things didn't go well or your bank account has been depleted I would definitely file harassment charges.
Best wishes-I hope everything goes well. I'm sorry to give you yet another thing to worry about (your bank account) but seeing how others on this site have been treated you can't be too careful, and if these people are actual scam artists instead of investigators this would be a way to expose them. Take care.

I have 5 lines on my cell phone plan.  This company has called 4 out of the 5, BUT not the number they need to get ahold of who they are looking for.

These people have gone above and beyond invasion of my privacy. My family and I are extremely private people, this company has ALL our information.  SSN numbers, where we work, what bills I'm late on and so forth.  I am now looking over my shoulder, seeing i'm being followed.  I'm scared to the bones.  I feel as if I've been violated, just for knowing a person.

What I'd like to know is this....... if they can get all this information on us, the one's they DON'T want, why can't you find my friend?  the one that owes you the money, NOT ME!!!

Rest assured, if one more call is received on my cell plan, I don't care who gets it, I'm filing harrassment charges.

Got a call from these guys about my ex who I have not seen in thirty years.  From the posts they randomly call people from public records looking for debtors.

You have to send them a certified letter telling them not to call again.  But I plan on having some fun, wasting thier time, calling when I am lonely or just bored.

Its the only way to get even with these people.  My favorite thing to do is tell the collection agencies from India could they please speak english and use American slang with them.  I always refused to define the slang but always expect an answer.

Both of you people are a joke. Steal from someone and then litigate if they ask for the return of their property.

Let me know how that works out for you, ok?

Really? So the contract that was signed is BS, right? You don't need to adhere tot he terms so I guess the lender shouldn't have to either?

Oh! But wait?! If the LENDER violates the contract you want to sue the pants off of them and you want redress - but YOU, on the other hand, can blatantly admit to hiding the collateral and honoring the contract AS YOU SEE FIT and not how it was written.

You are so sad. You steal and justify it in the name of "...they still always get their money..." so what's the beef?

Return what you don't own and which does NOT belong to you. Don't rewrite the agreement you had with the lender. it is not your right to do so.

Right. You are so saintly. You pay all of your bills on time, don't hide or steal collateral and certainly don't lie for those who do.

You might also like to note that Northwest IS NOT a collection agency. They are skip tracers and automobile remarketers. As such, they are NOT governed by the FDCPA (although all employees pass a test on the FDCPA and try to adhere to it).

In today's times people refuse to talk to you, refuse to even acknowledge thier names unless they know what the call is about. It is harder and harder to keep the reason for the call secret.

Make no mistake, though. We will come after you and your ilk. Trust me when i say - we know you and your type.

Well, it's not as bad as incompetent excuses for bill collectors who spew trash on this site because they can't do their job properly on the phone. It's always easy to tell when they' (YOU) are having a bad day in the boiler room. If you still don't know what I mean, take a good look in that mirror you're using to snort your lines.

And what's all this about your children and grandchildren? I sure hope this doesn't mean you're BREEDING! God help us all!

Event Reminder
I am amazed at the number of people posting on here who take a creditors property, refuse to pay for it, refuse to return it, hide it, lie about it and THEN have the gall to come on here and post complaints against the people trying to retreive the property that you stole.

Make no mistake - what you did is theft. Plain and simple. Sure, the creditor is hesitant to file any charges or to litigate. It's costly and doesn't buy any good will. As a result, you people want to take advantage of that fact and steal someone elses property.

Own up, pay your bill or return the property. It's that simple. And, if we call looking for the thief who stole the property (or looking for the property itself) understand that without us there would BE no credit.

Sometimes when I read this trash I get physically ill. It saddens me to see how far down the path to perdition we have, as a society, stooped to. My parents would have busted my a** for stealing property from someone else and would have let me fend for myself.

Look at all of the self-righteous BS on here. Steal and then label the people trying to rectify the situation as bad people.

I hope to heaven that my children and grandchildren never read these words of wit. Might give them the wrong idea - that stealing is alright as long as you can hide the property and not get caught.

Someone claiming to be Craig or Greg Harris called and left a message stating he was given this number to get in touch with someone who has never been associated with this number.  I am not returning the call and have no way of contacting the person they are calling for. My phone number is not connected to that person and never has been.  The caller stated he had papers to go over with this person and needed to ask a few questions.

Repeated calls to my daughter's cell phone looking for someone we don't know.  Verizon has a nice blocking service for this purpose.  I'm guessing their "investigators" go on fishing expeditions calling cell phones with hacked info.

What if you moved to a different state, but you weren't the one who signed the contract, I have no clue what's even on the contract, never seen it. It was my fathers car and he passed away, Chrysler told me I could keep car and just continue making payments, I have since moved to a different state. I'm making a payment tomorrow for two months, behind three as of yesterday. I'm only 21, wasn't expecting this extra bill, I get behind, but always catch it back up. Could I get in trouble legally for this?

Some of us happened to "inherit" these bills once a loved one passed away, we aren't trying to "live past our means" we simply fall behind. I'm 21 and lost my father very recently, he had a car from Chrysler, just because people fall behind during this recession doesn't mean they just choose not to pay bills, some of us simply have to alternate bills each month. My bill might not get paid for two or three months sometimes, but they still always get their money, there is no need for the harassment from these people. If Chrysler would work better with people on extensions like all the other bills I have, it would never come to this in the first place...
