Same here! If you are summoned to court, they don't call and tell you. The court will do it. Dumb a***s. They think the people receiving the call are db. They act like you owe the money personally.

Recieved call this past Wed. Apparently, I crossed state lines and passed a bad check. No I did not! Claimed I am to be picked up and summons to court the next day between 12-4. Haven't been picked up yet. It's five days later.  I paid a bill that went into collections two years ago on a check cashing place. I have the original account number and letter stating paid in full. You don't ever get a phone call saying you are served. Paperwork comes to your house from the court. My sister is a sheriff in Texas where the call is coming from and she is looking into phone harassment charges for me.  

I just got a call today from a lady named Lisa. and she claimed she was calling from inernational couriers and when I told her Im not expecting a delivery and I was refusing it she got irrate with me. I just hung up.

This Lisa person calls me often telling me I'm getting a deliver between 11 & 4 at my home if not home then at my job. I told her she can't deliver to my job and she gets really rude. Last time I told her have an attorney she hasn't called back. I don't need to be scammed.

Just got a mssg on my cell and wk # from Lisa with International courier svcs? stating they will be coming to my home between 12-4 for a delivery. Who are these people? I've already been a victim of fraud, should I call back?

I just received the exact same call.  The lady was very nice.  She told me that Hewitt Law was sending me documents.  We shall see.  I'll be at work.

FYI, nothing happened between 12pm to 4pm. This is a scam.

This sounds like a debt collector using scare tactics to get you to call back.  A real process server with a summons to appear in court will not call, they will simply show up at your home or place of work and hand you the papers.  If you have a debt that is old and gone to collections, you may want to contact the original creditor to see what you can do.  If you do have a debt, go to the FTC website and search on Consumers Guide to the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act so you know what to ask a debt collector for and how to respond to them to ensure you are not being taken advantage of.  Also, look up the statute of limitations on suing to collect a debt in your state so you know where you stand in that regard.  If unsure about any of this seek legal advice from a local attorney that specializes in consumer law.

Got the same call today and they left the same message. Does anyone know what this is? Has anything actually happened from this?

They have called me twice saying they are delivering a legal document between 12-4 and i need 2 forms of ID and if I am not home they are required to show up at my place of employment...? wtf is this?

Did you ever actually get a package? they just called me with the same information.  This is BS, right?

This number called me and said that they were dropping off a package between 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm and wanted two ID's as proof.  I figured it was a scram!

wow!!!!  he can even tell u what time they r progamed 2 tell u the delivery will be there!  how sad is that?  these ppl also TRIED scamming me. i told them send me the pprwork and i'll deal with it in court.  the man i spoke 2 told me in a very nasty tone that i intentionally took a  loan which i had no intent on paying back.  WRONG!!!!!! u dont know anybody's situation, ur not God, who r u 2 judge me???????  go scam sumbdy else cuz obviously there r ppl out here who r aware of what ur doing

it was 12-4 get it right.... if your gonna complain cause you people dont pay your past due  bills just call us back and tell them so .... bunch of dead beats complaining here

GOT A CALL, THE STATED THEY WE INTERNATION COURIER SERVICES AND THEY WOULD DELIVER A PACKAGE TO MY HOME BETWEEN THE HOURS OF 11 AND 3PM AND I NEED TO MAKE SURE I WAS HOME. I CALLED THE NUMBER BACK AND WAS TOLD THAT THEY WERE JUST A COURIER SERVICE DELIVERING A PACKAGE FROM ANOTHER COMPANY. GOT THE COMPANY ON THE LINE WITH JUST ONE TRANSFER, GUY GETS ON PHONE AND TELLS ME ABOUT A PAYDAY LOAN, I LISTEN AND THEN WANTS ME TO PAY SOME KIND OF FEE BACK. I INFORM HIM , THAT HE SHOULD JUST HAVE THE PAPERS DELIVERED AND THAT MY ATTORNEY (NON EXISTING) WOULD READ OVER IT.....I'M STILL WAITING ON THE DELIVERY.

These people called and left a message. Said they were from International Career Services and that they would be at my home tomorrow between 1 and 3. If I'm not home they will go to my place of employment. Said they have a delivery for me. Whatever!!! Can you say scam!!!!
