There was a live body on the line, the answering machine picked up and they just kept saying "Hello, hello" I could hear background noise, the voice was a Hispanic man. What good does the DNC list do if these clowns can still call?????
| Cypresschick 2011-06-06 20:43:15 Unknown |
I got two calls from the 6395 number, leaving the call-back 7151 number on December 11. Today, January 5, 2009, I called the 7151 Dallas (I thought) nbr and got a recording in French! Thank you for this web site; it would've driven me nuts trying to figure this one out! Further, beyond being depressed and anxious over our situation, we have been on the National No-Call List since its inception. I am extremely distressed emotionally, now. Financially was bad enough -- Can these people be sued? Isn't it a $10,000 fine for making calls like these? Who gets all that money, the phone companies? I will add another warning to everyone -- watch out for the scammers regarding Home Businesses and easy government loans...I've lost 30 pounds over the past year or so...very stressful. 5'4, 103

Give thanks for this posting I was going to sign up with this company working from home but I was skeptical about it. I am not comfortable about them putting a program in my computer. For all I know that can steal my information.

Recording cold calling for homeowner assistance
| S. Tallysens 2011-06-06 20:43:15 Unknown |
Distress Homeowners Assist Line, DHAL, gathers information from innocent homeowners but convincing them they are talking to a non-profit organization. They then take that information and sell it to lawyers or real estate firms who try to close a loan modification deal with that homeowner. Distress Homeowners Assist Line then receives a commission for each loan modification deal closed. I estimate that commission to be between $1000 to $1500.
They are crooks and mobsters and you should stay far way from this business and definetly report them to the Better Business Bureau and the police if they cross your path.

Follow-up on my previous post: State of CA shows Distress Homeowners Assist Line as an active corporation with a certificate issued late November 08. Principal listed for the company is David Widerman in Santa Ana, CA.

Further to the above:
This company is listed as:
DISTRESS HOMEOWNERS ASSIST LINE

TUSTIN, CA 92780
This is the same address as for North American Capital, Inc. phone 714-508-6611.
The owner is also associated with California Pacific Mortgage, Inc. also at that address.
That business is suspended by the California Secretary of State.
It has no Texas presence but uses a Texas telephone number.
It is operating out of a Tustin address, not Santa Ana as represented.
That Tustin address is home of at least one mortgage company.
More: its web site asks for sensitive personal information but does NOT utilize basic security encryption measures.
