Recieved a voicemail from Donna Garcia from Bryan Bishop's office, stating she had a question and was told I was the person that could help her. She left a call back number of 214-603-3719. Not calling her back now!! Thanks!!

I guess Dawn is stumped when she can't go straight to voice mail to leave her standard message. She asked for Human Resources Dept. Told her we have none. Asked who does payroll. Told her business owner. Asked for him. Told her not available/out of town. Asked for his voice mail. Told her can't transfer her since it will go to his cell phone. Asked if I can write down a message. Told her yes. She started to mumble by this point. Told me to have owner call Dawn (no last name...no Garcia, no Phelps) in Brian Bishop's office at 214-603-3719. Since a vague message, I Googled Bryan Bishop, who is an attorney...then I Googled Brian Bishop, who is a dentist...then I Googled Brian Bishop Payroll and BINGO. I filed the written message in the round file. Poor Dawn.

Yes Dawn Garcia...is still around....amazing- she still uses the same old sales tactic...I am a business owner and calls like hers get deleted and blocked...really? Dawn....you quite transparent. Would never call or do business with your company. Don't bo business with people who do not state the nature of their call. Try a new approach.....by the way after reading all your posts.....damn woman...you have a lot of excuses!!

Apparently, Dawn Phelps is now using the name, Dawn Garcia. Caller ID said, "Anonymous."
She left the following message: "Hi, good morning. This is Dawn Garcia calling you from Brian Bishop's office. When you get this message, would you please give me a callback at 214-603-3719. I'd look forward to your call. Hope you are having a blessed day."

Dawn has called me for years, today she called and her name is now changed to Donna Garcia. I fell for her, "This is Dawn Garcia from Brian Bishop's office, please call me" ploy once and couldn't believe she was misrepresenting the nature of her call in an effort to get me to call back. Now I just giggle when she leaves a message.

Dawn Garcia is still up to the same old tricks. She called me from 214-361-5931 today and even went as far to say "Have a Blessed Day" at the end of her voicemail like we are old friends. I don't do business with people who doesn't leave the company name or state the nature of the call.

Had a voice mail this morning from 'Dawn Garcia' asking me to call her back at 214-361-5931. No company name, no message as to what the call was regarding. I knew instantly she was a sales person. This tactic is pathetic. I would never use a company that started a relationship so underhandedly.

Got the call yesterday. Just got around to googling it today... glad I did. "Dawn Garcia call me back at 214-361-5931". Really? Why piss people off and mislead them for 3 years? Try to do your "job" like a professional, which includes saying who your with and what you would like to speak to me about in your voicemail.

Yes, She is still up to her old tactics but now her name is Dawn Garcia. Very unprofessional and will never do business with someone who cannot be straight forward. Glad I always google odd voicemails from unknown callers. Good luck Dawn.

Just received a message from " Dawn Garcia" phone number 214-361-5931 wanting to speak with someone in the HR department. Guess Dawn "Phelps" got tired of that last name and wanted to use another. No matter - I never pick up a phone number of caller ID I don't personally know and my voice mail contains explicit instructions for people to leave their complete information if they expect a return call. Serious businesses leave all their information; the others I simply Google and I usually end up here. Love the web and this website.

Hmmm, so your family has no conscience either ... what a surprise (NOT)!
| NicolRenee 2011-10-17 20:15:28 Unknown |
Not stating the company you work for and just calling and giving a name and phone number, acting like whomever is on the other line should already know you, is not a good business practice. I screen all of my calls, will not pick up any phone number I do not recognize or that is blocked, as your number was. I don't think your brevity is due to inability to manage the phone lines.

Received voicemail from Dawn Phelps left at 8:35 am on Wednesday 8/11/2010. The message was vague and friendly "can't wait to discuss some things with me when I return her call.

Dear Martin,
Sorry about that and It wasn't a "Sales Tatic", when I left the message for you I had 3 men standing in my door way and was all alone in the office. Sorry I was vague. It was unintentional And YES, My career does make my family proud!!
Have a blessed day! Sorry for any mis communication on my part!
Sincerely,
Dawn Phelps

Before I go on further, let me start by apologizing for not leaving more details. Some days I have 6-10 different phone lines I have to help manage while people take their lunches, breaks, vacation and sick days, etc. Plus we have clients coming in and out as well and being I'm not super woman, it's hard to manage the phones and leave a detailed messages if I have people holding for me or walking into my office. So there are instances where it's just better to be brief in order to assist promptly in case a client is calling in with an urgent matter.
As for AD, I promise I have never been rude or have I called your office 3 times in 1 day. I would never do that.
Please forgive me everyone for any misunderstanding!! Not everyone is intentionally trying to be under handed.
Sincerely,
Dawn Phelps
Payroll Success

I had a voice mail from Dawn Phelps. All she said was that she wasn't sure if I was in charge of payroll but she had some questions for me. The number she left to call her back was 214-361-6018, but the caller ID said 214-361-5931. I thought her message sounded suspicious, so I googled it and found this page. Thank you everyone who posted here!

Interesting, I got this message from my answering service:
PAYROLL P/C DAWN PHELPS 214-361-6018 RE:NOT URGENT/QUESTION
I don't know if she was intending to offer payroll services (given the postings above here) or ask about ours - see http://rmpcs.rmpcoop.com - we do so much more than just "payroll" but we're much more affordable than employee leasing.

Recieved a message from Dawn Phelps on my voice mail to call her back. Wasn't sure at first but the message was nice enough, so I returned the call. Glad I did turned out to be an opportunity to save thousands on what I have been spending on payroll services. Was glad she called when she did.

Called left no info. Only requested call back. Tel. 214-361-6018
This is always a sure sign of a solicitation and/or scam. If you ashamed to introduce yourself anf your business, then don't expect a call back.
Sales and Marketing 101, give me a reason to call you back.

Follow-up to my last posting: I called her back and told her about this website and she was NOT happy. It was kind of funny. It is a solicitation call, they are a payroll processing company. I got someone else first (b/c Dawn Phelps was 'on the other line') and when I asked the lady if "Dawn Phelps" really exists or is this some fake name various people use, it was amazing, Dawn Phelps suddenly became free and picked up the line. Aggitated as all get out. Ha ha ha.

Dawn Phelps called our business 3 times today. Asked for the payroll dept. When I wasn't available, wanted to know my boss's name and left her a vm. Didn't leave any details. When I tried to call her back, the line was busy.

Rec'd a message from Dawn Phelps @ 214-361-6018. She had a question regarding payroll. Never called her back as it sounded suspicious since she was asking about payroll. Googled to number....here I am.

Dawn Phelps called saying she's from Bryan Bishops Office. No other info. The number she gave was 214-361-6018, but her caller ID was 214-361-5931. I googled Bryan Bishop Dallas TX and this came up: "Bryan Bishop has been licensed to practice law in TX since 1972. Compare Bryan Bishop to other Investment Fraud lawyers in Dallas" Then I followed another link and it said: "Locke Lord Bissell & Liddell LLP, 2200 Ross Avenue, Suite 2200, Dallas, TX 75201. Practice areas: Mergers & Acquisitions (50%), Securities & Corporate Finance (30%), Business/Corporate (20%)" I'm not sure if that's the right one though.

Dawn Phelps left voice mail, but did NOT identify company, requesting that I return her call. The number on caller ID was 214-361-5931, not the same as the one she left in message 214-361-6018. Luckily, I don't answer unknow numbers.
| Kevin 2009-06-19 16:43:26 Unknown |
Dawn Phelps called. Did NOT identify company in voice mail. Glad I googled!! All she said was to call her back. The number that appeared on the caller ID wasn't the number she left for a call back though - so be wary when picking up the phone!! I googled the number that appeared and it turned up no results.
